  1. Both my HTC evo 4G and 3d had the same issue. It eventually was fixed by sprint. Come to think of my wife's shift had the issue as well.
  2. Is there a 22 month upgrade policy for spouses?
  3. That would be great if Sprint could ID tethered phones. I'm not rooted I don't tether I use wifi whenever it's available. Our smartphone data usage is usually under a gb/mth. I would love to be able to tether a couple of times a month to send that email that includes a doc from my laptop. But I just wait till I find a wifi spot.
  4. Let the games begin. Ok its been going on for sometime. Hopefully they beat the crap out of each other and we get more for less. I suspect the the war cry is beat Google but don't sacrifice margin to do it. The whole game seems like a pretty big waste of resources. But the strategy makes sense reduce your competitors $$$$ supply to the point it will struggle. It may be more profitable to steal market share than to inovate.

Just do it. I have been off for 2 years. I'm sure you can find another way to stay connected.

I also had success with this exact remedy last year. Wifi analyzer then channel change. I was surprised how many wifi signals were floating about and all were on the default. We live in a neighborhood of 1/3 acre plots. I did go out and get a new wifi router to crush the neighbors.

Robert this would be a huge help! Your ability to test these phones would be very helpful. They all sound great and its probably not such a big difference. But it would be nice to see which one has the best radios. Since we endure the Sprint network any extra ability to coast over the weak areas would be terrific. I can tell where the dead spots will effect my current phone. But it has different with each phone I have owned. Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 2

    HTC vs Apple

Apple is not messing around that whole delay was very costly to HTC. http://www.businessweek.com/ap/2012-06/D9V80UFO0.htm
  9. Ahh! the trunk monkey the best ad series to date..
  10. So are Robert and DanielHolt the same guy. I kind of picture Daniel's head coming out of the kind and thoughtful Robert body like the car commercial. OoooBaby I want that car....
  11. No Summer vacations I Korea! How do they expect to make enough phones to meet demand with all the us carriers all at once?
  12. What are the advantages of 800 lte vs the 1900 lte? Or is that the purpose of the two test regions? To find out how it acts on the wild?
  13. Thanks I appreciate the information.
  14. On the flip side we have endured the sprint network we deserve some concessions . I'm still a fan of their customer service. They have always been fair, listened, and helped when they could. I have been with sprint (actually sprint spectrum llc) since 1989. I did a brief stint with cellular one before that and used pay phones on the street. I haven't rooted my phones so I could have a broadband connection when other folks have. Call it what you want its cheating. Wimax made pretty good sense on paper, I plunked my cash down on two phones and $20/mth since then. (BS its a smart phone charge!). So I paid for a service that is very limited for the 'mobile' customer. So as I see it Sprint did not live up to the hype of wimax. They have the opportunity to earn my business everyday. I'm not entitled by any means. But if I give them the opportunity to meet my needs they are obligated to listen. It's my job to make it a good business decision for them to meet my needs. Wimax, somebody had to know high frequency would not pentrate and handshaking between towers was questionable. That reflects back to the Sprint Management team. Sorry no points for not testing technology.
  15. My Evo 3d does the same thing. Its a bit of catch 22. You need to keep it on the charger to have battery power left. I believe charging creates heat. Running the gps creates heat. The constant on of the display creates heat. Anyway you are asking a lot . I do have mine mounted near the vent. It seems to help. All that processing comes at a price.
  16. It is probably a toss up wich gets a better 4g signal right now.....
  17. I tried to snap a pix of the guy in the tower . But my since evo 3d lags so bad all I got was pix of my b pillar. A 4g lte would have nailed it with the faster shutter.
  18. Not very scientific. Washington beltway just south of American Legion Bridge or the Potomac in VA. There was a guy on the tower working on an antenna. It's a shorter beefy monipole tower. I tried to get on speed test and open signal but I transfered to another tower so couldn't verify anything

I wrote in an earlier post. "The good news is we have 2 million phones on order. The bad news is we have 500,000 phones on the boat. Or at Customs. Or stuck in traffic. Or the software has a glich. Its a daunting task to get it right. I bet there are some poor blokes scrambling to keep you in the latest technology. Try to keep in mind the network is not rockin yet. And who knows maybe its a bad rumor." So I was wrong.... It was not a bad rumor! My apologies Robert. I do think Sprint management showed poor judgement anticipating a release date from Customs. Who has not been burned relying on a delivery date of a product . When it is in your hand then commit. There are to many things that can go wrong. Sprint rolled the dice that container would clear. It didn't. Had the news agencies not picked this up Sprint management would have rolled for double or nothing. Their hand was forced to spin the story this morning. This is Hard Ball. Big dollars.

OK here is a diversion to keep you occupied while you unravel because your EVO 4g LTE is on back order. If Sprint orders a million phones? I don't know ... it takes 15 minutes to assemble one phone program it put it in a bag and a box... there are 400 people assembling phones...

I hope you guys get satisfaction on this. Its a total bummer when you get your hopes up. Think of the folks trying to make this happen to keep everybody happy. It is very similar to a restaurant you just can never be sure who is coming to dinner. I need 100 lbs of salmon? I only got 50 lbs RUTROO. You can not anticipate how many EVO 4G LTE phones are going to get pre ordered. At some point somebody has to pull the trigger and say OK make 2 million phones. The good news is we have 2 million phones on order. And who knows maybe its a bad rumor.
  22. As I said I really do not know the price. The subsidies, contracts, and marketing really make it hard to pinpoint a price. My apologies if I wandered a bit off topic. I was responding to Robert's post.
  23. Giving the phones away? 1st we really don't know what it costs to produce one of these phones. 2nd have you looked at your phone bill lately? With all the back door bill backs and network funding that may be going on I would think Sprint is leveraged to the max and someone is investment spending in a big way. I wonder how many Sprint 4G LTE sites will be on line May 18th. And how long 4g lte phone owners will give Sprint to light up. And on a different note why is Sprint allowing leaks to this Web Site or any other. It seems like gorilla marketing. Effective way of creating a buzz I guess. I certainly don't want to come across disrespectful to the moderators their hard work or their incredible networking knowledge. Cause I think their intentions are great. But I don't trust the Sprint machine. You don't get paid 11 million in bonuses minus the iphone rebate unless you are one "creative" manager. I'm hoping Sprint can pull this off but they must be walking a very fine line.
  24. You may want to check your set up. On my Airvanna I get 2.5 ish Mbps down and .45 mbps up. I guess it depends on your internet connection and sprint tower connection. The Airrave did not handle data. The Airvanna does Both handle texts.
