  1. The improvement is noticeable every week. But I would caution you it will not be Verizon's network in 3 months. I would recommend two tools available to you . 1. Become a S4GRU sponsor and you can get access to current and projected (depending on sponsor level) Network Vision and LTE buildouts. 2. Take a look at Sensorly and you can compare Verizon vs Sprint networks and you can see a representation of the 4g 3g LTE. coverage. Welcome to site.
  2. Probably not Frederick cause I - 70 doesn't end in Frederick. Probably Security Blvd named for the social security complex west of downtown Baltimore. Now I - 270 does end in Frederick.
  3. Adam there is a lot to the rollout. The DC market includes NOVA, DC and Maryland suburbs. It does not seem to be based on population or Sprint marketing releases. The work crews need, ehprd, NV upgrade, Backhaul at a particular tower. The logistics of completing a single tower has a huge check list (power, Federal, State, and Local permits-Hardware and software - backhaul, before things turn on . So when one has the necessary improvements they go there and do the final hook up. Washington DC is still not officially rolled out but they will probably have a Frederick and Rockville tower open before they flip the switch. For instance I just had a Frederick Tower convert over to NV. If you haven't become a sponsor of S4GRU. It opens up another level of understanding. Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 2
  4. From a Labrador point of view. He hears the barking, meows, and rodent squeaks and it's like yelling SQUIRREL! It makes me look at the tube. Maybe the ad guys are leveraging pet/person relationship.
  5. I struggle with reporting it always seems to throw an error code when I hit report
  6. And 4G is working fine in Columbia / Baltimore
  7. Notice network. It's 3 now. Didn't that used to be 2?
  8. Robert, Just checked my FedEx Xmas package tracking number It says its doing circles around Dulles. Careful what you ask for Ol' Leader of the LTE Zombies
  9. Just curious are you checking from the FedEx chopper?
  10. Just checked yesterday nothing. Prove me wrong. Please
  11. Somebody needs to put a GPS locator on the the work crew/s?. It would save a lot of time. They seem to be picking off locations counter clockwise around the DC beltway. Will they press into VA for a while or Head up 270. They are starting to make good progress in the DC burbs area now.
  12. FWIW. WTOP had a Sprint advertisement on the radio. And it got around to saying 'enjoy LTE in Washington DC'. Or something similar. That last part sounded like it was dubbed into a generic Sprint ad.
  13. How long do you plan on living?
  14. You were right. Fed ex really didn't have much of any signal. I'm sure 80000 people stuffed in there didn't help. Great Game!
  15. Going to my once a decade pro football game Monday night to entertain customers. Hopefully I can upload the first Sensorly 4G LTE points in the Men's bathroom at FedEx field. Go Skins!
  16. Looks like you hooked into The Prez's direct line to the Kremlin, or you are in 2030 and warped back to S4gru
  17. Just had a Tower guy talk. So I saw the ropes on this tower and saw the and WesTower workers. Knowing only one tower guy in my life (he was fearless) that rode Mt bikes with. I approached with caution. These guys were no different that quirky smile and a glint in their eyes. They were 'nuts' but just didn't have the paperwork. Oh yeah. Rt 15 in Luckett VA. Just south of point of rocks md. So I said hello you guys working on the Sprint stuff? Yep. Big Smile. LTE? Network Vision upgrade. He went on to explain 2g,3g,LTE an they were putting up new antennas it should he up and running, immediately or by the end of the month. Remember these are tower guys not switch flippers, I asked if they were doing the backhaul too. He said they were using the existing copper. Another crew would do the fiber optic from the street in the future. Pretty cool encounter. I was actually more impressed with guys climbing gear the guy had than the electronics. So i keep my Jock card and relinquish my nerd chip. I really wanted to climb that tower. I told the guys about s4gru. And that they were rock stars. We got a good laugh. Be safe Cya.
  18. Thanks for the answer on 30 min lte delay search. I don't have the skills to mess with Tasker.
  19. I added some new points to sensorly but I just looked and I don't see them now. So here is good old low tech I got a lte signal from I 695 nw on I 795 for a couple miles blinks off then comes back on exit 4. I would say 2 new towers. I suspect there are towers on the tall blue cross Blue Shield building with a severe down tilt.
  20. Does sensorly rely on S3's frequency of checking for LTE?
  21. Dkwx. Thanks I'm really just a guy with a sprint cell phone. Just a casual observer. I was under the impression the maps had different oem guys for different markets. Not that it really matters. It is fun to uncover system. But in reality the guys implementing this network are figuring out as they go. Frederick has historically been covered much better by Verizon. Sprint has put a good effort in with roaming agreements to fill in. Voice coverage is acceptable. And yes Frederick is the second largest city but the surrounding area is rural. Rockville surrounding population is much bigger. I would focus my efforts there based on population. Knowing the current Frederick political landscape any adjustments to the towers area would be slow. As a side note it is interesting to see how some of the towers are placed on county property. Schools, water treatment facilities, etc. Not good or bad just interesting.
  22. I think I picked up a new towers at the intersection of red Run Blvd and Owings Mills Blvd. I hit airplane mode and 4G came on. I will check Thursday.
