  1. 100% NV sites accepted: maybe. 100% LTE sites accepted: maybe by Jan 2015. Besides, I could be wrong but I believe the dates are S4GRU estimates anyway.
  2. LTE is on the periphery of Fenton but none of the sites in town have live LTE yet. The site inside the city limits just had fiber run to it a handful of weeks ago but for some reason it's still 3G only...and sluggish 3G mid afternoon at that.
  3. Looks like another round of 3G acceptances will be posted for the Eastern Michigan market. The site on Belford Road and I-75 northern Oakland County was converted overnight. This one in particular caused a lot of dropped calls for us between Holly and Grand Blanc.
  4. If I'm not mistaken, Sprint reps only have upgrade info shown in 90-day windows and even that is subject to change. Honestly, I'd take it with a grain of salt.
  5. I'd expect to see Network Vision 3G upgrades coming online in that area soon. It's a major pain while it's going on but it's nearly night and day when the upgrade goes live.
  6. Likely picking up the tower at the gravel pit at Belford Road and I-75. I was through Holly last night and the water tower site in Holly proper is not broadcasting LTE yet. I haven't seen any evidence yet that the site at Grange Hall and I-75 has been upgraded with NV antennas and/or RRUs. The Belford Rd site throws a wicked signal lobe to the southwest.
  7. Just ran into an issue yesterday where I was in a NV upgraded area and my call would not handoff to a legacy site. The call started to breakup then eventually dropped. The road is decently covered by Sprint in general but now transitions in and out of NV and legacy.
  8. Well I began to do some tower hunting in the Higgins Lake, Houghton Lake and Grayling areas this morning and the trip was cut short when all the sites on my list were on today's acceptance report.
  9. I put some purple on Sensorly on the lake. NE side sucked for me with my EVO LTE once I got in the shadow away from that tower in Roscommon. You can see where my phone kicked over to 3G.
  10. Noticed this morning that the site inside Holly village limits that was just upgraded very recently is now already squawking new NV NID and BSIDs. I don't know if this site was on the latest 3G acceptance reports but either way that was a fast turnaround.
  11. Kind of like Sons of Anarchy where the Sons have business arrangements with the Mayans, later in the season they're killing each other then back to allies again. It's all just business.
  12. Higgins Lake most likely coming from the site near Roscommon. I'm actually heading up that way this weekend. Wife groaned when I said I had a some tower hunting to do while up that way.
  13. My phone started picking up "phantom" LTE in Fenton after the site came back online after the fiber install. Today my phone would briefly connect to eHRPD then seconds later kicked down to and parked on EvDo. Did this every time I reset the data connection. Similar situation?
  14. When someone unfamiliar with my department comes into my room at work and asks what we do, I tell them they need a Section 32 clearance first. They get this unsure look on their face then leave.
  15. I see all of Flint went live with 3G upgrades this round. My wife was reporting troubles with her phone the last few weeks including a dropped call north of Holly heading toward Flint so this all makes sense now. And let me say one thing about the 3G upgrades: they're AWESOME when it comes to running NetMonitor! No more guessing and calculating where tower locations are. No more figuring out (x), (x+256), (x+512) then trying to figure out the site within the triangle.
  16. Okay so we got fiber being run to a site in Fenton and one in the Howell area. 3G upgrades went online in the Howell area within the last couple of days. A lot of sites that have been upgraded but waiting to go live and some still getting upgraded. Stuff is still happening.
  17. I noticed on my trip up north a couple weeks ago that a lot of legacy equipment has been taken down in the Tri's.
  18. Fiber is being run to the site inside Fenton city limits. I've been eyeing 2 Holly sites and a site on M-59 between Hartland and Howell yet to receive NV antennas but nothing so far. No LTE from Fenton, Linden, and Hartland sites despite NV antennas installed for months. *yawn*
