  1. I pointed out the tree/tower to my wife. She asked "what is the deal with Portage"? I could only say they always have been trying to be the Beverly Hills of Kalamazoo County.
  2. I noticed that last weekend and almost took a photo but decided it wasn't really relevant for this site. I don't know the carrier but it is not Sprint. Sprint is on the flagpole at Center and 131.

  5. I'm kinda bummed. I was in the area and was going to map a little more of the site north of Schoolcraft but LTE wasn't online. It'll probably come back online right after I leave.
  6. Looks like the site north of Schoolcraft at U Avenue and US-131 in Kalamazoo County went live. The site south of Vicksburg was updated with NV equipment so I wonder how long before this site goes live as well.
  7. Sprint service is currently off-line from the site inside Fenton with a crew onsite working in the cabinets. Hopefully this means very good things for Sprint service in the area.
  8. There are 2 sites in Fenton and 1 in Linden with NV panels but not broadcasting LTE yet. What you see on Sensorly is fairly accurate for Grand Blanc, Holly and Fenton since there are members here, self included, that have spent a lot of time and fuel to map out the areas. The site south of Fenton in Tyrone Township on US-23 just went live with LTE a couple weeks ago so it hasn't had much mapping done to it. I mapped a little more of that site the other day but then my phone crashed and took all the cached map points with it It initially appears to me that this site throws a stronger narrow beam up and down US-23 and doesn't extend much east and west. Hope that helps.
  9. I got it. Just sayin' slap a "4G" label onto anything to grab the attention of the "Oooh, aaah, shiny objects!" crowd.
  10. There is an interesting comment submitted to the FCC from "Trip Ericson" of RabbitEars.info regarding the refarming of TV spectrum. He refers to the essentially non-existent standard of ATSC 3.0. Heavily borrowing from your suggestion, rename it to ATSC 4G. Give it a sexy, marketable title that will get the attention of the unwashed masses and politicians alike. http://www.rabbitear...tion-Proceeding
  11. I was in the Kalamazoo area this weekend. There is another site broadcasting LTE in KZO other than the known site on the north side of the city. I was getting a fairly solid signal near on Sprinkle Rd north and south of I-94. I'm not sure but maybe the site near Cork and Sprinkle is active.
  12. I realize this might fall under confidential/non-public type of information but what about including a table showing your backlog times on your status page?
  13. I got a promotional flash drive recently. It was pretty cool except the drive itself was cheap as [expletive omitted]. There are options out there for different and likely better drives.
  14. Will iDEN Countdown donations count towards Premier Sponsor status?
  15. Upon graduation or turning 18, one should have to choose which service they want to enter: military or customer. Either one will chew you up into a different person.
  16. LOL. I'm solid but thank you. I did my time in the customer service industry.
  17. Probably. I know the first LTE site in Flint was off and on until accepted. Usually was off around 4-5pm.
  18. I would imagine S4GRU Sponsors might demand a higher wage than Joe or Sally Minimum Wage Welfare-To-Work seat warmer.
  19. It seems like you said that once already today but I can't find the thread.
  20. A crew started working today on a tower in City of Fenton. Does that help a smidge? I have sites spotted in Burton, Fenton Twp, Hartland and Grand Blanc areas with NV equipment waiting to go live plus the one inside Fenton just getting started. I got a feeling a massive backlog is going to break loose very soon.
