  1. I only briefly see B41 on this site from only the west-facing sector as I'm heading toward it in the afternoon. As soon as i handoff to the sector facing NE I immediately get dropped to B25. I don't see B41 from this site at all in the morning. This is why i was having a hard time grabbing a screen shot of engineering screens.
  2. There is only so much info that can be given outside of Premier Sponsor forums where detailed Band 41 info exists. Basically, the Eastern Michigan market has its Network Vision 1.0 upgrades completed and we are now seeing Band 41 equipment being installed across the country and Michigan. Reports are beginning to trickle in with Band 41 going live in the state. You may want to consider becoming a sponsor to gain access to more thorough details and maps not available in open forum. There is always room for more spotters here at S4GRU and you could be on the front lines in your area giving reports.
  3. Finding that B41 in itself is finicky or the LG G2 is finicky holding onto it. Or both. That said, very briefly had B41 from the tower down by Menards and WILX studios on my way home today. As i grabbed my phone to snap a screenshot, it dropped back to B25. I confirmed B41 from the tower by the State Secondary Complex today as the source of that connection while I'm out by GM LDT. I'm also trying to walk the fine line of giving info to general S4GRU members without divulging sponsor level info.
  4. I think data is good where you have in and around Howell. However, site density is an issue and there are enough rolling hills that can put you in shadows where LTE drops out pretty quick. With a GMO to full build conversion last week outside of Howell, i believe all sites in the area are running LTE. I cant speak so much about coverage between Brighton and Howell along 96 since I'm not through that corridor enough. I know the one site in Howell running Band 41 but i haven't checked the others.
  5. Screenshots of Band 41 in Lansing near GM Delta Twp. http://i1320.photobucket.com/albums/u523/s4gru_rcm/Screenshot_2014-09-30-08-07-36_zpsecpmhifh.png http://i1320.photobucket.com/albums/u523/s4gru_rcm/Screenshot_2014-09-30-08-06-17_zpskazfzdcg.png
  6. Some of these antennas have been up for a while. I've been looking for B41 with Signal Check Pro looking for the sector digits of the GCI being different than B25. What caught my attention yesterday was a GCI quite a bit different than what I expected from a known tower with the sector digits still being 00, 01, and 02. That being said, I can't say how long B41 has been running in Flint. I do believe that Howell just came online though.
  7. B41 live in Howell. B41 install in progress west of Fowlerville along 96 at a couple sites.
  8. Picked up B41 on 3 sites in the Flint/Grand Blanc area today. No B41 connections made going down to Detroit though.

  10. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/3227-network-visionlte-west-michigan-market-grand-rapidslansingkalamazoo/?p=365729 One of the LTE acceptances on today's report is the GMO conversion I noticed this week. It is in the greater Howell area. The other two GMO to full build conversions I noticed months ago had LTE go live very shortly after the NV 1.0 antennas were installed. I assume Samsung isn't converting GMOs to full build unless backhaul is ready to go???
  11. We have Band 41 going up in strategic locations and I noticed a recent GMO conversion on our side of the state. Things are still progressing.
  12. I was kind of hoping that maybe the SE Michigan metro areas would see accelerated/priority B41 installations to compensate for the lack of B26 but no such luck.
  13. A small road trip confirmed LTE finally coming from the tower in Holly proper nearly one year after NV upgrades were completed.
  14. Is there a reason why something like this isn't going on here at S4GRU? Wife and I are looking to move to the Framily plan and I was looking to keep it in the S4GRU Framily.
  15. Check out the pics I took for these posts: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/3369-report-in-progress-sites-here/page-67&do=findComment&comment=185326 http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/3369-report-in-progress-sites-here/page-68&do=findComment&comment=185327 Some members have far better equipment than I and can get closer shots but you should be able to get the idea. You should see a box (RRU) near the top and bottom on the backside of the wider antenna. That is what you are looking for when you're out spotting. Note: these photos were taken some time ago and the legacy equipment (the narrower antennas on both sides of the wider antenna) has been deactivated and most likely removed since leaving only one antenna (and accompanying RRUS) per sector. I couldn't say as for when the Athens site might see 800LTE since that falls under Premier Sponsor status and I couldn't divulge that. However, my speculation is that if Sprint is putting up Band 41 (2500 MHz) then 800MHz couldn't be too far behind if it already hasn't went live.
  16. There is no "800MHz antenna" per se at least in our state. Samsung is installing one antenna per sector (sometimes two if it is a high-capacity site). However, depending where you are in Michigan, those antennas may have 1 or more RRUs attached to the backside of each single antenna. So my question to you is how many of these square-ish RRUs are on each antenna on the site you are referring to? If it's one then that site will not be getting 800MHz. If there are two+ then you will be seeing 800MHz sometime in the near future if you haven't already.
  17. According to network.sprint.com, it appears there is a new site in Howell by the airport.
  18. I have no explanation other than backhaul hasn't been run to the Holly site yet. I drive by and check this site nearly daily. Having LTE go live here would fill a gap in the area. Here is my speculation. I believe Rose Center was a low priority GMO (ground mount option) site on a tower with other numerous carriers as well as NOCFA. Once Sprint decided to come back around give this site the attention it deserved, backhaul was already available hence LTE going live not long after they converted it to full build. I had heard early 2013 that 4G work was being completed for at least one other carrier. Now with the Holly site, no one else co-occupies the site with Sprint. It would be my guess that no fiber prep work/fiber runs have been completed here and something is holding it up. It's anyone's guess as to why.
  19. The site located south of Holly located at North Oakland County Fire Auth Station 3 appears to have LTE broadcasting. The interesting part of this is that this was a GMO recently converted to a full build site with LTE not far behind it.
  20. LTE is live from the site on the north side of Fenton http://i1320.photobucket.com/albums/u523/s4gru_rcm/Screenshot_2014-04-29-18-42-46_zpscb115d94.png http://i1320.photobucket.com/albums/u523/s4gru_rcm/Screenshot_2014-04-29-18-43-36_zpsb8688b22.png
  21. What blows me away is Clay's meltdown on CNN-FN years ago over running a gym and now having to resort to voiceovers as a hamster for a cellular service provider.
  22. I sent 3 diagnostic reports. The first one was while experiencing a sticky LTE note. I tried to grab two back-to-back diagnostic reports a little bit later while I was on the same tower. I hope it worked. The first of this series was while the note was stuck and the second was immediately after I shut down the app and restarted it. If I encounter a LTE site that I haven't put a note on yet, I can attempt to add a note, but after I enter the data it appears as if it never happened. When I restart the app, the note I entered appears.
