  1. Trying to reproduce it and send a diagnostic report but my first LTE note entry is sticking to other LTE sites.
  2. I've been waiting for this for quite a while. Netmonitor has been my go-to site logging app so let's see if SCP is up to the challenge!
  3. The net-neutrality crowd would have a field day with that arrangement.
  4. Regardless if this true or false, what do you think the percentage of customers is that would understand honest technical terms? You, I, and the rest of S4GRU are at an advantage for a couple different reasons but what about the vapid, empty headed masses that only care if their phone works or not and how it impacts their texting and FB?
  5. Well if the site hasn't been accepted by Sprint as being 4G complete then the site is still running on "legacy" backhaul not up to NV standards. That would be my guess not knowing which site exactly you could be having issues with. You could contact Sprint customer care to see if you could get a decent answer. Since Metro Detroit is officially launched, Customer Care could look into issues you are having. Another option is become a S4GRU Sponsor. The sponsor level maps at the Sponsor level here also show the 3G/4G status of all sites in your area, state and across the Sprint footprint. If a site is still 3G, the backhaul isn't there and there isn't much Customer Care can do about that. Having this info at your fingertips goes a long way in diagnosing your own issues. But Sponsorship or not, if sites don't have NV backhaul running to it or if the sites are experiencing airlink saturation, those are more or less uncontrollable events. S4GRU or Customer Care cannot do anything about backhaul needs, drop in new sites or rollout Band 41 any faster. Hopefully this long-winded response at least sort of answers your concerns.
  6. Dear Sprint, Please densify your coverage in the S.E. portion of Portage. Here, I even found an existing tower you can use. Sincerely, RCM@S4GRU
  7. While LTE has really filled out in those areas recently, it's still not 100%. Plus, your profile shows you having the EVO 4G LTE. Not a good RF performing phone. I tend to believe your phone might be the cause of your dilemma more than anything else. I have the EVO LTE as well so I can appreciate your situation.
  8. I'd believe it has more to do with LTE not being active on 100% of the sites, those sites that are active possibly are overloaded, and site density causing sites to be overloaded. Let's hope Sprint expedites Band 41 roll-out in the east side metro areas since we will be seeing no Band 26 (800MHz) action anytime in the foreseeable future.
  9. I saw today's update and Ryry instantly came to mind. Congrats for you and your market.
  10. I don't have a direct answer for you. Your location on your profile shows as Brighton. LTE has been online in the Brighton area for quite some time from varying sites so it's not a "newly launched" issue. Brighton also covers a lot of real estate so it might be helpful if you could narrow down your area a smidge. I was in Brighton on Saturday near the Lee Road double roundabout labyrinth but my wife and I noticed no issues.
  11. Well, one more down. Looks like Masa is cleaning house. http://www.kansascity.com/2014/03/25/4915620/another-sprint-network-executive.html
  12. A lot of people have lost sight of that T-Mobile is only changing the game because they want to exit the game at the end of the day with the biggest stacks of cash they can pile in dumptrucks.
  13. 60% of the time, it works every time! (Sorry, couldn't help myself )
  14. I'm not sure I've ever seen it explained on this site why this exactly is the case. Here in Michigan, legacy network coordinates were offset but NV network coordinates are dead on.
  15. SignalCheck shows the address of the coordinates that the site is squawking. In many markets, for whatever reason, these coordinates are offset from the actual location. That being said, it is possible the site is more than 3 blocks away from your location. Sponsors to the site have access to maps of the actual locations of Sprint sites.
  16. A lot of people here quickly and automatically dismiss anything related to a Sprint-Dish partnership since recent past events turned out sour but I believe this knee-jerk reaction to be short sighted and maybe even foolish. In a scenario where all parties can win, the dollar will subdue past events and feelings.
  17. I literally checked the coverage map for the area last night for the first time in a long time and LTE was not showing for metro Detroit. I'm curious when the updates are posted. Looks like all of Metro Detroit has been covered so let's see how many cities or "markets" will be stretched out of this launch in the press release.
  18. Probably from all the people running speed tests
