Glad to see Kalamazoo county represented. Good catch to the member here that logged that.

Is this site at the corner of Oakland and Centre behind the laundromat? If so, I'm pretty sure that isn't Sprint. I want to say Tmob off the top of my head but I easily could be wrong.

Mrs. RCM got a kick out of this article though I can't say I've planned vacations around site locations and what not. Now installing Sensorly on her phone then thanking her for her help is another thing. I think she's accustomed to "scenic routes" but rolls her eyes at me asking friends to give me a heads up on a particular site if they see any activity. I barely tolerate her Harry Potter thing, so we're even.

For a being a complete noob at this, I have to admit this is a little confusing and frustrating. My understanding was that all but a small handful of towers were not going to get NV but for everything else, the remaining sites were getting completely stripped and overhauled. Okay, cool. Be one the lookout of panels with 2 RRUs except now that it's only one RRU in the 100km border zone in which I reside. Now add one more layer that some sites are GMO which may or may not eventually get NV. I guess I just need to keep a closer eye in the sponsor forums to keep up with site updates *then* go tower hunting.

And I was just thinking it has been fairly quiet as of late.

Not to play forum cop and perhaps I don't know the full situation here but maybe you might want to check some of the info on your post.

ehrpd has sluggish around my area the last week. I've been kicking my phone down to straight up evdo. Much better performance. Ehrpd doesn't really mean anything at this moment until LTE gets more widespread.

LTE was supposedly active on a tower in Holland. Is that something you check into during your travels?

Flint area members: keep an eye on the tower on the east side of the 69 and 75 intersection. There is activity there. May or may not be Sprint related but work is being done in the area. I got eyes on another tower nearby.

Dude, is that you painting purple all over Flint?? Every time I checked Sensorly there was more and more and more going on. I was trying to plan a trip around that area but my planned routes kept getting painted. I hit MCC, down 475 a bit and carried LTE on 69 all the way out to 23/75. Signal dropped out on the backside of MCC campus but picked it up no problem at the RTC. BTW, I'm not complaining at all. You're doing a fantastic job!!

You're a better person than me. I wasn't sure how much mapping I would've done throughout Flint. I was bummed LTE was off when I got up there but not like I was going to scour the streets or anything. Anyways, Well done!

I'll check later today in the vicinity of the report in Flint and give an update.

Good catch on finding the purple dot in Flint. I really had to zoom up on it pretty close to see it once it was pointed out. I'm up that way 4 times/wk and my wife has been involuntarily recruited to passively map as well. I thanked her for collecting data for me as I took her phone away and downloaded Sensorly.

There still is only one tower in Howell with active LTE. Pretty much the boundary you see on Sensorly in Howell along and north of I-96 is what you get at the moment. I don't know what the situation is south of 96. My travels do not take me that way nor it seems other Sensorly users as well.

That amount has been the same for a handful of days now. Last I knew was that LTE in Howell was active on only one tower. I wanted to drive around Howell this past weekend but my plans were derailed. I hope to get down there again this upcoming weekend so I can map some more plus check other towers in the area.

So if LTE doesnt hit A2 then you won't be going to UofM?

Report Shentel LTE Sightings Here

I was tooling around on Sensorly and noticed someone in that area went totally nuts with mapping. Excellent job! B-) Thought I'd check here first hoping it might be a S4GU member so I could commend their work. -
Sensorly - New market deployements

I am absolutely fascinated with this app. However a small glitch appeared in the latest version. When I open coverage maps I am immediately taken to Manhattan Island. I can easily get back home by pressing the compass icon in the bottom right corner. The map resets back to Manhattan every time I rotate my phone. -
I followed Grand River in each direction until LTE gave up on my phone. What you see is what you get for the moment. I attempted to go down Hughes Rd to connect to Golf Club Rd but I lost LTE signal lock just about as soon as I made the corner. Latson north of Golf Club and M-59 heading east towards Hartland was as I was leaving town. I drove around Home Depot, Lowe's, Staples and Meijer for fun. I wanted to follow the loop from Latson south of Grand River to Grand Oaks but road construction prevented that. I hit each leg of that loop the best I could since the tower is on Grand Oaks. Edit: Looking closer at the map, I lost LTE signal lock around St Joseph Mercy of Brighton as I headed SE on Grand River toward Brighton. I actually continued further and turned around at Champion Buick all the time trying to reconnect to LTE. As far as the other direction, I lost signal lock near the school campuses. I turned around there and didn't push it because I already had spent a lot of time up by the high school trying to connect to that tower to no avail.

The LTEVO was a little fussy getting LTE signal lock but it did fairly well holding the signal once I acquired it. I spent about 1 1/2 hours driving around Howell checking the 3 towers in the area that are in progress for LTE upgrades (info based on sponsor level access - don't ask me for details if you don't have this access - I won't give it). I was kind of surprised how long I held LTE heading out on M-59. I certainly couldn't lock onto it that soon coming into the area. Also, here are some screenshots I took: Speedtest.net app, Network Signal Info app, and info from LTE record off the phone.

I'm putting purple on the map in Howell as I type. The tower south of Home Depot on Grand River is active. The other towers in Howell are not active as I type this.

I don't seem to recall Sprint ever making any promises to me, especially keeping me abreast of all roll-out details and schedules. I also don't feel as if Sprint owes me anything or make them out to be liars if they don't meet standards that only I myself hold.

I gave it another shot today and LTE was not active. The tower is inside the school transportation grounds which has gated access. I'd say your assessment is correct. The contractors probably blocked LTE access when they left Friday since the bus garage won't be open unitl Monday morning. I don't think anyone will see LTE until that time. Just speculating...
