  1. At least in brief testing, no issues in Shentel market in PA. 800 seemed to be NA most of the day though. Maybe tinkering going on? Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  2. From a quick couple tests, no issues with my Note 2 here, though I didn't get 800 until late tonight. Even with resetting radio. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  3. http://teamuscellular.com/Forum/blog/2/entry-434-certain-device-blamed-for-network-issues/?st=40 This will be something to keep watch on. Apparently the S3 is causing problems at least enough on US Cellular for them to offer replacements for some S3 owners. Some speculate it could be the source of the problem in the Sprint Chicago market (which apparently is pretty bad right now all over)
  4. Yeah, woo. That BIG MILWAUKEE launch is Janesville!!! Hopefully tower crews will get a bunch of work done in the next day or so because a lot of rain is predicted mid/later this week. I don't know how much that stalls installation but water+electronics never seemed to match...
  5. Actually, Sprint bought out USCC network in Chicago. They are combining them for more spectrum.
  6. Sorry if this is a dumb question... but what has changed on the retiring USCC network that it now has problems interfering with Sprint? Did Sprint push a PRL update to USCC phones to share networks all of a sudden?
  7. FYI if you head south to Sprint's "mature" 4G market in Chicago.. It is having major issues right now. Look at the Chicago market topic. Users are getting low 3G-like speeds even at off peak times in the suburbs. Could be a problem of he USCC network interference because of the really low SNR values. 8. Wonder if it would have been out sooner without having to support the Galaxy Gear? Better have a new radio firmware.. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  9. There is a lot of work going on in northern WI. Lambeau Field has 4G now! Lots of 3G acceptance in GB too.
  10. Would like to suggest to the Property Brothers couple the concept of Wifi vs blowing a ton of money on wiring Ethernet throughout the house.

  11. I'll be visiting Hershey for a couple of days next week for a conference. Sounds like I shouldn't even attempt to leave a 800-supported PRL on my Note II, correct?
  12. Glad you are optimistic. It sounds like there is a lot of work behind acceptance going on, but there is still work to be done. For example, it doesn't appear anything has been done on the tower at I-94/83 even though a few miles north and a few miles south are both LTE accepted. Also apparently the tower sightly east along I-94 is a Sprint tower.. no work done, either.
  13. I did have a little faint LTE there. According to the accepted site report, LTE should be strong there from a nearby tower. You may have been pulling in another LTE signal.
  14.

#househunters Your husband builds you your own salon in house and are are still complaining? You want to paint wooden cabinets? Are you nuts

  15. Ok, let's get back on topic here! I did notice that at least as of Sat night, the LTE-approved tower at WI-60 and US-41 was not broadcasting LTE, and the nearby 800 approved towers were not broadcasting 800. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  16. Interesting. Seems like the Milwaukee teams have been on standby for a few months . What's another week or two?
  17. Robert posted in the Note II forum: "I have not been able to get my Note 2 EVER to be able to use SMR 800 successfully. The few times I thought it did, it actually shunted me over to CDMA 1900. And I tried all three vendors. I couldn't get CDMA 800 to work on my Note 2 on Ericsson in New Mexico, Samsung in Colorado or Alcatel Lucent in Phoenix. It will park there on Channel 476 just fine, but all my outgoing texts and calls fail after 2 minutes of trying. And incoming calls never ring through. And incoming texts pile up and wait for me to get back on PCS. Unless I use Google Voice Text. Watch your connections and make sure it is not shunting you to 1900 when you think you're using 800. If I wasn't watching closely, I would have thought I was staying on 800." So that's why I want to test. Maybe his phone is defective? There were also a couple of other users who said while it worked, there were still problems.
  18. Parents live right around there, so I am looking forward to 1x800... Coverage at their house isn't very good.
  19. How would I force my Note II to use 800 SMR data (and voice) and not EVDO in the HDR/1X menu? There's Hybrid/CDMA/EVDO/EHRPD 1X, etc. Just for testing, not going to leave it at that setting. I know at least Robert has questioned if the Note II is really using 800 even though it seems like it is.. I'd like to test it out! (yes, I have another non-200x PRL flashed already)
  20. The Photon was well-liked for RF performance. That doesn't mean it holds true here!
  21. I think a number of pages back someone experienced the same thing. Technically, LTE and 3G are two different networks in a sense, so yes, that is possible. It means the Sprint LTE signal is stronger than the 3G/voice one itself.
  22. I notice that the signal #s on the top bar on my Note II seem to lock on old values.
  23. Certainly a possibility. You may want to enter airplane mode/go out or restart to reset the radio, just in case it is a fluke. My phone will sometimes show EVDO, thinking something might be going on, but goes back to eHRPD after power cycle.
