What I don't understand.. I don't think users were having issues with the last firmware release re: 800 so why can't they just issue a new update with the last modem firmware!? Or at least Samsung should know what they changed in the modem to make a quick new fix!
I really hope we do not have to wait until Q4/4.3 ROM for the problem to be fixed.

So do we need an app for EVO LTE users that updates the PRL every 30 seconds?
Meanwhile, I'd like Sprint or Samsung to figure out what the 800 SMR issue is on the Note II so I can have that, too (I know, flash custom.. I want to wait though if there truly is a modem issue)
Looks like there are a few new sites, one in Waukesha around Hwy 164 and 59, Milwaukee on 11th and Mitchell, and another one along I-94 east of Johnson Creek. Oh, and north part of Racine.
I drove on Barker, Springdale, And Duplainville Rd tonight, so tht should be some decent mapping.
The gas we waste on these mapping trips!

At the Brewers game. While speeds on 4G are not amazing, 1.5 mbps, they are adequate and not unusable like in the past on 3G

I agree. There should be a balance. The carriers probably shouldn't be allowed to put them up wherever they want. Maybe a different set of rules for city vs. rural?
It shouldn't take 2 years for a tower to get through an approval process though. Agree with your comments about sharing towers.

I made a new topic in the general forum. I think this would apply more to expanding coverage, vs a carrier shutting one tower down and building another. WI has lessened restrictions on cell tower placement in the recently passed budget.
As I stated in that post, trying not to make it political. I'm curious how it compares to other states.

I'm trying not to turn this into a political discussion. I'm wondering how this compares to restrictions in other states.
I'm at Festa Italiana right now and while no 4G, getting 1.5 mbps on 3G speed test. Obviously the new 3G tower is helping tremendously.
