  1. Anyone notice that the incoming audio quality has changed, maybe for the worse? Calls seem to have a little noise to them that was not there before the new flash.
  2. No problems. Just keep in mind you cannot have the default 200x PRL that Sprint forces us to use, you need to use the PRL write enabler to update to a different PRL. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  3. 800 SMR is fine on my Note with stock ROM and stock update. Rooted after. So it must be something in the different updates used above. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  4. Rooted, tried copying it manually, but nothing comes up when I put in ##DATA#. Put original back, comes up fine. Any ideas? Maybe it needs to be updated somehow? Work your magic Fixed permissions also, unless this one requires special that the old one didn't have.
  5. If that doesn't get Sprint to notice then nothing will. I can see some average users not noticing a big difference between say 1mbps and 10mbps if you are just bringing up a few web pages and Facebook. I would think data card users however would be up in arms and definitely noticing the speed problems. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  6. I think they may be in testing right now, soon to be turned on. I am getting LTE from somewhere here in Pewaukee and I don't think it is the UW Waukesha tower and it certainly isn't the one at WCTC as you can see from my screen shot above. WCTC tower is shown complete but not broadcasting LTE. I think there's another one that is but isn't marked. I've said before, I'm even pleased that 1900 with the upgrades is a little stronger.
  7. If 3G was always this good.. Also, check the maps, couple more Yellow dots! Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  8. This is right by the WCTC tower. The LTE is obviously coming from another tower. I am getting faint LTE at my condo in Pewaukee behind Country Springs. I switch between the WCTC tower and the UW Waukesha tower for regular signal and those are stronger so the LTE must be coming from another tower. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  9. Ok, thanks. I was able to flash before without a custom recovery but I probably was rooted.
  10. That's what I am using. I do see an unable to verify signature red line in recovery. Also, you have removed KNOX already, right? I haven't.
  11. I'm not seeing the PRL write function after flashing the unhide ZIP. Hmm.
  12. Thanks. I actually had to use the version that wipes everything out. I couldn't get the update to apply, even after doing a data wipe after installing the no data wipe version! Strange. You were lucky! (or I just unucky but doing a clean install isn't the end of the world) My system was relatively mod-free except for basic root and the PRL write flash.
  13. Well, 3G at least except for one 3G/4G north of Waukesha area. We need those 4G!
  14. What are the steps you used for that? XDA thread you can point me to? Also, does anyone know if the PRL write patch works on the new update?
  15. I have basic root, no bootloader. Update fails, I suppose I'll have to flash back to full stock then update, unless someone knows a workaround. (I know that I'll likely lose root for now)
  16. Number of new LTE sites north of Milwaukee in the latest update! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  17. These two antennas are above power lines, so this setup may be the case. I was getting 2.1mbps on 3G so it is possible the backend has been upgraded. I'll try to look around at the base station and see what is new. If it is possible to use the old antennas then that probably would make sense for these two towers.
  18. Hmm.. Is it possible to have a site 3G accepted but not have NV equipment or at least antennas? I swear the two Delafield towers marked 3G complete do not have NV antennas. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  19. It isn't based on purchase time as someone claimed on XDA.. I bought mine on launch day and it took 4 days beyond the initial rollout the last two updates for me to receive it. (go figure)
  20. Thankfully the SignalCheck app blocks it from even attempting on the Note II. Good thing because I didn;t know of that problem
  21. Question.. what would be the best way on the Note II to force it to scan for 800 when it is currently on 1900? I know usually you do a PRL update and that would force the phone to rescan. We can't do that on our Note II because that will install a non-800 PRL. Go through the ##DATA# and update PRL that way? The SignalCheck App doesn't seem to work for selecting frequency on this phone. I do have the sponsor 800-priority PRL installed but there are times (like at work) that it will hang on to a weaker 800 signal while a much stronger 1900 signal is nearby. I would like to avoid using that PRL for that reason! Thanks!
  22. Either in this thread or another one on this site a comment was made about towers that are on power line structures take longer to update. That probably explains why the two Delafield area towers I drive by every day haven't been touched -- They are both above power lines.
  23. Hartland, too. This is in Delafield on the 800 priority PRL. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  24. US Waukesha tower has 800 also. Nice signal increase at my condo in Pewaukee. I will say that my 1900 signal was slightly better than before, too. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
