  1. Can you give a quick how-to on doing an 800 test/and or forcing the phone to use 800? Interestingly, I will be in a Shentel Sprint area in a couple of weeks. Guess I should keep PRL 200x handy. Would be interesting to run a few tests there though!
  2. Hate to tame your excitement, but LTE has been approved around Port Washington I think for a couple of months now.
  3. We better get 800 back in the next release. I am looking forward to that at times more than LTE itself here in WI. I agree with Robert.. we may think it is working with an alternate PRL, but it seems it uses 1900 anyway.
  4. Some LTE action in Green Bay and Appleton though! (Yeah, that's another thread) So my question is.. if there is all this background work going on, why are we not seeing more 3G approved sites in the Milwaukee and Madison area? If it is just backhaul they should be that way, right?
  5. The biggest problem with the nights getting darker earlier is we can't go tower spotting in the evening!! Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
  6. Yikes. Was just at East Towne in Madison and data was completely unusable. I hope it is more because of upgrades being done vs. being really that bad. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  7. This is just a rumor of course... Someone in my state of WI in our forums has been in contact with a Samsung engineer that does testing. Supposedly their test vehicle(s) will be getting LTE 800 equipment soon. WI isn't a fully developed market, either. So very likely LTE 800 will be available sooner than some may think! So having to wait 2 years to take advantage of it, signing a contract for the Note 3, would be a mistake
  8. If he is picking up a fringe signal it can be that low.
  9. RE: the new rumor on site completion. There are a lot of 3G complete sites south of I-94, so it is very likely a lot of those will be 4G soon.
  10. Maybe it was the weight of all the nearby NV equipment. Or not
  11. Sounds like you have inside info. Madison sounds a little optimistic. And Milwaukee in General? The other areas you mention don't surprise me since they already have some LTE. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  12. Well hopefully that version has Flexible LTE. hahahaaaa!
  13. RT @blatzblatzblatz: Boo! @SouthwestAir rewards points will get 14% less valuable on March 14! http://t.co/kqgbEZDpeg. Book your tickets no…

  14. It actually is impressive the speeds you can get on 3G when it is NV upgraded. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  15. I will say this.. sure a lot of 3G completion in the southern (and some north of us, too) part of the state. I guess this shows something is going on
  16. Wow, isn't that the first one in the general Milwaukee area? Racine/Kenosha have some (not indicated on our sponsor map but I posted screenshot before)
  17. Agreed. We can share in a little frustration, but going on a rant isn't productive.
  18. While I also wonder about the post two above, someone in the forum did talk to Sprint retention a number of months ago and they stated that the current LTE completion was at the end of July. Even site admin says based on docs they've seen that seemed right. So we are way behind schedule, at least what Sprint had hoped at one time. I think it is frustrating for some users because while some LTE towers in rural areas have come up (and even some cities listed as completed), Madison and Milwaukee are at a total standstill. Nothing new in almost two months.
  19. Solid 800 all along I-94 in Kenosha Co. Even locked on to a tower in Sturtevant in Racine Co Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
  20. Looks like there's a new LTE site on the map in western Waukesha Co (I'm being vague.. become a sponsor!)
  21. Interesting. Scrolling the map to this and other areas, it is obvious they are only showing completed areas.
  22. Wouldn't that be the size of the mega?
