    LG G2 Users Thread!

It was probably an older screen shot pre-spark update.

Take my thoughts with a grain of salt. I'm not sure what enabled hd voice. I don't want to influence people to get 7.1 with that new carrier bundle.
  3. It's funny because every tower here has been done for over a year, but they would still say "yeah, we see an outage there. The techs are on their way." They're just programmed to say that.

Not sure if it's coincidence, but we both upgraded to 7.1 yesterday, and I noticed the carrier bundle changed to 16.0 from 15.1. I know those usually change with an iOS upgrade, and sometimes can be pushed by the provider to enable/disable features. Maybe it was activated with 16.0

Yeah, active set was useless. All I know is, I love this. I wonder how long it's been active here. I rarely call her outside of my work truck (using Bluetooth). I know I made a non-Bluetooth call to her a few days ago, and didn't experience this. Maybe it was turned on in the last few days.

Maybe in that "active set info" menu that I didn't look at. My wife was growing impatient while I dealt with what she calls my "nerd stuff." I call her again and look at that sub menu. I know what I was hearing, and it was outrageously clear and awesome.
  7. When I was jailbroken a month ago, I couldn't download it without a hacked repo. I even emailed the dev and asked about an updated version that I could buy. I never received a response.
  8. Josh, it looks like you've paid for this app in the past, which is probably why you can install it. The payment system in cydia doesn't allow you to buy incompatible apps.
  9. The only way I know how to get it on iOS 7 is by using a hacked repo. Since it's a paid app, Cydia won't let you pay for an app that isn't iOS 7 compatible, but a hacked repo will. I won't tell you how since I don't support hacked repos, I just really wanted to see what the app was about since it's our half-assed version of signal check and fully intended to pay for it once it became iOS 7 compatible.
  10. I have a question. Are we absolutely certain that the sprint iPhone 5s does not support hd voice? Just now, I called my wife (5s Sprint) and experienced hd voice for the first time. I have made hd calls on T-Mobile, and have experienced hd voice via FaceTime audio with her and other iPhone friends so I know what it sounds like. It was over cellular, and incredibly clear, and she even asked me, "why does this sound so weird but good? It's so clear." I made her wait while I pulled some 1x field test screen shots, but I don't know what to look for on an iPhone.
  11. I love it. The ping animation is actually smooth now, and I like the splash screen at startup. I would love to see that new dynamic speedometer in action. Unfortunately, we can't get b41, and I just downgraded my home ISP, which used to run at 53mbps :/ Nice upgrade.
  12. Yes, it's the prl that prioritized 1x800 voice. It has a link for instructions on how to load it on to your n5. It has zero relation for 2600 b41 data.
  13. I think someone caught a flicker of USCC somewhere in Naperville or some northwest suburb. We haven't heard anything since. I'm thinking a dual launch since both require site visits. It would save money that way. I wish we had some way of knowing what our status is. Have the crews installed the carrier cards at all sites? In progress? Or, haven't even started yet. I emailed dan@Sprint and never got a response, which is strange. Then again, my questions for them usually can't be resolved with a reboot or a prl update, so they probably have me on ignore
  14. Go into the premier forum, then premier prl thread. Digi has a thread with a direct link to load a prl on your nexus 5
  15. B26 and USCC spectrum need to be implemented immediately. I'm not sure what the hold up could be. This is a major metro area with a troublesome network in place. Why isn't there a sense of urgency from sprint? B26 is showing up in some really random places across the country, and not where they should be right now. We need one or both really bad right now.
  16. Just out of curiosity: how do you use a spectrum analyzer in an airport without being tackled to the ground? Seems like a device that the TSA would frown upon.
  17. The iPhone 5s/c can access their band 4, too. I know because I had a big red buddy waving a 63mbps" e-penis at a bar over the weekend.
  18. Milan, when you were at O'Hare with your analyzer, did you happen to look for a USCC carrier?
  19. Can't be. That overpass is like 14-15 feet (I'm a trucker and observe bridges daily). Maybe 30.
  20. Does anyone else check the nv sites complete map when trying to decide between bars and restaurants? This is where my life is right now. Friends of mine picked a bar in the south burbs 3 miles from a tower in one of my known "terrible 3G" zones. Tonight would be a great night for band 26 to appear around here

Even my iPhone 5s is on 51100
  22. Without derailing this thread too much, does anyone know if there's a list of city's that have hd voice rolled out?
  23. I was out in Elmhurst running some errands earlier when I saw this little guy on York St. and I-290. This tower can't be taller than 25'. Probably the lowest cell tower I've ever seen. From York St. From EB I-290

The crackling that I've experienced with my g2 is when I'm on a call, and the screen shuts off, it crackles and kind of fades out. It's only while the screen is dimming away. Turning the screen on produces the same crackle. It's sort of annoying.
