Which radio is best for a chance at connecting to band 41? I flashed .17 and immediately have a significant dBm gain. Is that normal? Do we know if .15 or .17 is better? Sent from my Nexus 5

It's not that, some people don't have a triband device.

So I finally rooted, and flashed twrp. I then flashed franco kernel because of all the good reviews I've read. Do any of you have any franco setting suggestions for optimal battery life? I never play games or do anything resource intensive, so any underclock/undervolt suggestions? What about an awesome color profile? Any good companion apps to further extend battery life? Thanks, guys.

I drove by the stadium around the 8th inning and ran a speed test. Pulled 41mbps right next to the stadium I did it because I wanted to test capacity during a game. I wasn't disappointed.

Yes. I believe HTC devices are the only ones that show frequency on scp.

My mistake. That's pretty terrible that we have all of these mixed Gci's between vendors. That gci pattern is rearing its head in Chicago for uscc spectrum.

This may have slipped by everyone, but look at your gci. You're on the new uscc spectrum. Next time you see a gci of 03/04/05 check your debug screen for an ul/dl channel of 8315/26315.

Tmobile to use 4x2 MIMO technology in LTE deployment

I have a buddy that I'll see with a tmo 5s in Chicago this weekend. I'll have to check it out and verify. -
Comcast in chicago is our best ISP. I pay $60 for 25/5. I used to have that 50mbps package but downgraded as those are unnecessary speeds. I think people overestimate what they really need, and the isp's win.

We have to keep our band 26 discussions in our new Chicago premier thread. http://www.s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/5831-Chicago-NV-2.0-Progress-/-Permits-/-etc

Mostly Palos/Orland/Tinley area. Didn't go south to Frankfort. What do you mean "you're responsible?" Are you a technician? We sure have some questions if you are.

B41 display works fine on my g2. Works on both Clearwire and nv 2.0 8t8r equipment in Chicago. Edit: it actually occasionally stops showing B41 and the plmn id in debug shows 311870 which I believe is the correct number.

Just got the update: "Resolved issue with Sprint users in Shentel and former US Cellular service areas seeing false indications of LTE band 26." What did that change? Does that eliminate gci 3-4-5 showing up as band 26? Sent from my Nexus 5

Guys, I have a question, and need some help/advice: I want to try Franco kernel to get more control and better battery life. I'm new to this stuff, but not technically challenged when it comes to a project like this. I've been researching, so please tell me if I have the steps correct. Backup my files, root, get phone back to how I had it, install twrp, create a stock backup, install Franco kernel? Am I missing anything? Any tips? Will I be able to get the eventual spark ota on Franco, or do I need to flash back to my saved stock recovery and sideload it when it's available as a download. Thanks. Sent from my Nexus 5

My phone doesn't pickup band 26 like some have said it will. Is 26 a guarantee without the update, and the band enabled? Or do we still not know. I'm stock with the .23 radio Sent from my Nexus 5

I installed the apk from their site. Seems smoother. I can't find that option to highlight outgoing messages, though. That would be nice. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Or just use Google voice or some other Wi-Fi calling app and save the hassle of asking for an international unlock and finding a Sim. Unless you want a phone while out and about. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
