  1. Appears that the G4 will have a curved body....not sure I like that aspect: http://www.techradar.com/us/news/phone-and-communications/mobile-phones/early-lg-g4-press-render-leak-reveals-a-curved-design-1287848
  2. I ask this sincerely, but how long had it been around? For whatever reason I had never even heard of the site until within my first year here on S4GRU.
  3. Here's a link to the supposed Sprint user agent profile for its version of the G4 (open in IE to see properly): http://device.sprintpcs.com/LG/LS991-SPRINT/latest If this thing comes with a removable battery, I may be leaning its way when I choose to upgrade given the GS6 has done away with that.
  4. 4.4.4 was originally supposed to release around November though; based on everything I've read between now and then, I feel fairly certain that there was a change of plans somewhere in the mix to drop work on those builds and to go ahead and jump right to working on Lollipop on a number of Samsung devices at least. jef's RDF links certainly back that up as far as this phone goes.
  5. That being tracked on XDA somewhere? I remember someone rooting around and finding links to that for the Epic back in the day. Edit: Nevermind, after a bit of searching I saw where you posted the link on XDA
  6. Reading this is the catalyst for a sudden brainstorm for a new Sprint 80's nostalgia/pop culture national ad campaign involving Kevin Costner that could be pretty effective sometime within the next year or so:
  7. My first was a CoCo II. I remember when getting the companion floppy drive to go with it a year and a half or so later was a huge milestone. Then I eventually migrated to the Commie 64 with drive/printer (and eventually a 300 baud modem) and thinking the transition from what I had before was like emerging from stone age by comparison.
  8. I was on earlier, there were some intermittent hiccups here and there, but the main issue I kept encountering that was/is always consistent was trying to use the usage analyzer....everytime I attempted I always get this: :"Sorry! Hey, we're sorry. We can't analyze your plan online at this time. Still need help with your plan? Give us a ring at 888-211-4727."
  9. And now AT&T's version is starting to get it, hopefully Sprint's won't be too much longer: http://www.phonedog.com/2014/11/13/at-t-samsung-galaxy-s4-now-receiving-android-4-4-4-update/
  10. We're supposedly finally getting the 4.4.4 update this month if recent reports are accurate...I'd be surprised to see L before March/April.
  11. Hoping this means we'll see 4.4.4 before too much longer...I've got a coworker with the S5 on Verizon at work that got the update there today: http://www.gottabemobile.com/2014/09/10/galaxy-s4-android-4-4-4-kitkat-update/
  12. I made a donation as well.....no matter how rough I or anyone else may think we have things at times, or even oftentimes in some cases (I speak from a personal standpoint there), it is things like this that bring us back to the reality of just how blessed and fortunate so many of us really are and take that fact for granted by comparison to what these folks are now having to go through. My heart goes out to all family and friends involved.
  13. I was actually hoping for something different when I clicked that link; we're supposedly going to be getting a 4.4.4 update in the next few months if all the internet banter is to be believed.
  14. Definitely second the above....my fiance is still on the Photon Q and we've had problems with text delays regardless of which one of us is sending.
  15. Looks like it's been awhile since anyone posted in this thread, but just wanted to pop in and throw my hat into the ring. Due to a dropped phone/smashed screen mishap last week with my Photon Q, I upgraded to a new triband GS4. So far I like it, taking alot of getting used to not having a physical keyboard any longer, but SwiftKey is helping in that regard to some degree. Definitely enjoying the improved performance and not hitting 90% on memory usage. I did run into an LTE bug once early on but the 72786 trick fixed it thanks to the thread here.
  16. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-05-12/at-t-said-in-advanced-talks-to-buy-directv-for-about-50-billion.html
  17. I've had the odd call or two in the last 2 weeks have this happen as well where the phone never rang. Neither were to my GV number either.
  18. Don't know if there's any hypothetical extrapolation that can be done here Josh, but the Kyocera wireless site has both a 6721 and a 6750 that are both 'Hydro' models (the 6750 or 'Elite' looks to be Verizon specific and the 6721 a variant of the 'XTRM' for Tmo/Metro/USCC): http://www.kyocera-wireless.com/phones/
