  1. I actually loved that commercial---the first 6 or 7 times. I think the repetitiveness of it wore thin after awhile to be sure. But honestly, if I were Masa and looking to acquire various entities to enhance Sprint's position, I'd go directly to whatever agency Geico uses and buy them out in a heartbeat. There are other insurance agencies with good commercials these days too, but Geico has been cream of the crop for a long while IMO and a healthy distance from all other comers, and even with staying with the first two gecko/caveman motifs have continually branched out with other newer/creative/funny ideas too.
  2. My sagacity has its limits, without question, and those limitations increase every day I get older. Of course, some with divergent senses of humor may take the fact I find the content in the videos above hilarious and miss those days to mean that the term 'sagacity' and I are mutually exclusive to begin with.
  3. These are the days I miss: Also this classic, the suit of magnets (had to bitly-fy it as the actual Youtube link would not work): http://bit.ly/1i3fFZ0

  6. I call first dibs on the audition to be your own version of Larry 'Bud' Melman.
  7. A piece here and there likely won't hurt you.....you just can't down a whole bucket in one sitting.
  8. Article from Anandtech on this: http://anandtech.com/show/7925/qualcomms-snapdragon-808810-20nm-highend-64bit-socs-with-lte-category-67-support-in-2015
  9. Looks like there's hope for the S5 getting a version: http://www.amazon.com/Ionic-Wireless-Bluetooth-Keyboard-Samsung/dp/B00ISD4EGW Edit: The Canadian offshoot appears to have it in stock: http://www.amazon.ca/Ionic-Wireless-Bluetooth-Keyboard-Samsung/dp/B00ISD4EGW
  10. I'd also echo this....heck, XDA is even far unfriendlier in my experience than here.
  11. I wouldn't take any of it personally....alot of people (and I count myself chief amongst them here) just have edgy senses of humor and like to have a little fun sometimes. No worries mate, and welcome to S4GRU btw!
  12. Re-read the first emphasized phrase above, and then ask yourself the 2nd emphasized question. Unless there's more detail involved such as hand-me-downing the Evo to someone else on a still-active line possibly, it would seem like you fairly well answered your own question. Even that aside, as a former Epic 4G (WiMax based) phone owner myself (and have had to revert back to it twice now while waiting for TEP claim replacements to arrive), in my area I knew going in I'd likely never see it here anyway....but still, technology and, in this case, networks evolve. There's really no reason to dwell on the past vs. enjoy the present and look forward to the even brighter future.
  13. If this is buried in an existing thread feel free to delete it mods, but I didn't see a new one recently on it anyway: http://www.qualcomm.com/media/releases/2014/04/07/qualcomm-announces-ultimate-connected-computing-next-generation-snapdragon

  15. He could easily serve a role much like Josh Elliot on GMA prior to his NBC defection, with his Youtube 'Play of the Day'.
  16. I can see your lack of understanding, because I know I share it in many ways....but at the same time, we are simply end users/customers and keep looking at things like this with from a very limited personal perspective. We don't understand the overall big picture/engineering/corporate dynamics of everything as someone like Masa who lives in it daily does. The analogy that keeps popping in my head reading your posts is Doc Brown repeatedly having to correct Marty because 'you're just not thinking 4th-dimensionally'. We're probably lower on the totem pole than Marty even because we're not close friends with Masa/Hesse/etc.
  17. I've hesitated to even post in this thread because, as I told Robert in a reply to a PM I received, I was surprised to begin with to even be on the initial list at all, but even more than that, I was frankly floored/speechless when I saw I was #3---I never in my wildest dreams would have, if asked beforehand, thought I'd have even ranked on that list much less so high. I 100% echo Ben's comments, and will further state when playing off mike's about stirring up competition (though I'm sure he said it in jest), I for one actually will be extremely proud if/when people bypass me on the ranking of the list, because that will mean more people are stepping up to the plate to help Robert keep the S4GRU ship afloat. I don't remember now how long it took me from my join date to submit my first donation, but I can tell you as a member here for a year a half now, once I felt compelled to do so, I've never felt compelled to stop supporting the efforts of this place nor never regretted continuing being able to help out in ,what I always thought at the time, was only a small drop in the bucket. And as I've seen and experienced firsthand the gradual improvements of Network Vision, that certainly has only further bolstered confidence in not only my continual decision to stick with Sprint, but my pride in having found and becoming a member of this place. I've said it before and it still rings true, because compared to many other parts of my day, I don't always have alot of time to try and keep up with everything posted here on a day to day basis, much less try and memorize or worse try and retain the things I learn here at any given moment of perusing the forums. So, I still often time feel in many ways like an uneducated idiot within these virtual walls even after a year and a half. But even with that said, I have learned an immeasurable amount of information and insight about things that I had literally a blank slate by comparison with prior to coming here. And the thanks for that are totally a result of what Robert, AJ, and so many others who were regulars/vets here long before I came around have posted and contributed here.
  18. Didn't think the thread needed to be locked necessarily, but shouldn't it really belong in the Wimax forum topically? Edit: nevermind, it looks like it was moved there in the midst of my posting
  19. The one central/most obvious thing would be what Masa has been preaching even before the Sprint acquisition....better economy of scale and better strength of position, in particular when it comes to buying devices from phone manufacturers.
