  1. I'm not really asking anything about triggering it.....I'm more interested in verifying that it exists in the Sprint S5 and if so, the functionality of the driving mode itself.
  2. Ok, I was able to track down a copy of the manual via the SamMobile site here: http://www.sammobile.com/2014/04/02/samsung-galaxy-s5-manual-now-available-online/ And starting on page 128 it has a section on 'Car mode'....it claims you go into the quick settings panel and then check it to enable it. As this appears to be an EU manual and it also states that 'this app may not be available depending on the region or service provider', can someone check and confirm whether (a.) this does indeed exist on the Sprint variant, and if so, (1b.) can you test it to see if it is locked to only the Samsung solutions for messaging or if you can associate to 3rd party apps such as Handcent, and (2b.) What option(s) does pressing 'Music' give you?

    LG G3

The original post links to the same information, just a different website.
  4. Reposting from the other thread for those who have acquired the S5: I'll apologize in advance if this is a stupid question (and I say that because I have never owned an S3 or S4 previously to have any sort of previous-gen insight if there's a Samsung equivalent that basically carries over each generation starting with the S3), but whether or not any of you have already found and bought a car dock for your S5, can you tell or speak to whether or not it has a different car/vehicle 'dock mode' and what the presentation of it looks like? Thanks.

I'll apologize in advance if this is a stupid question (and I say that because I have never owned an S3 or S4 previously to have any sort of previous-gen insight), but whether or not any of you have already found and bought a car dock for your S5, do you have any knowledge of whether it has a car/vehicle dock mode and what the presentation of it looks like?
  6. Doubt it....an article came out the last day or two saying it wouldn't be enabled on Sprint, Verizon or AT&T variants. Tmo is the only one that has it, ironically.
  7. I was truly hoping to see Robert do a man-on-the-street segment and find a 'Just RRUs' store, ala about 1:49 into this video:
  8. Yeah, even if it *were* halfway accurate (and it isn't), I have both a high end PC fully updated as well as a 28ms ping/just shy of 20Mbps connection as indicated by a Speedtest I just ran as I'm typing this, and it takes a good 10-15 seconds minimum just to zoom in one single notch on that thing from the full starting continental US view. Even accuracy aside, that kind of responsiveness, or lack thereof, isn't exactly what you want to have representative of you when you're trying to lure potential customers, and definitely an area they will hopefully improve upon.

    LG G3

Information has surfaced about the Sprint LG G3 variant! http://www.mylgphones.com/sprint-lg-g3-spotted-in-uaprof-as-lg-ls990.html
  10. Oh I know, I just meant that I'm not sure I would have been able to control my reaction to hearing that stated even with the knowledge. I'd love it if people like you, koi and others here were more indicative of the typical Sprint store or customer service rep.
  11. I literally don't know how I would have reacted if a Sprint rep said that to me, particularly if it was live in a store. My kneejerk thought is that I would be laughing too hard to breathe and just walk out the door with tears streaming down my face, assuming I didn't just pass out from oxygen deprivation first.
  12. It can be wrong or off to some extent sure, and then there are always going to be device RF performance variances....but its still typically far more accurate (or can be extrapolated from what *is* there to give a much more accurate perception of reality) by comparison IMO.
  13. Sprint's map shows a pocket of off-network roaming around my mom & dad's house 2 hours south of here, and yet 'fair' 4G LTE coverage most of the way around that pocket. The biggest problem with this is the fact that the closest Sprint tower at all is a good 5-6 miles away in north Alabama as the crow flies, and even if the tower has very recently been LTE updated and the acceptance just hasn't made it to Robert yet, I can guarantee you there's no way LTE signal would make it up there much less even further north of it, because I constantly am flipping between the faintest of Sprint 3G data signals (even after being NV 3G complete) and roaming on Verizon at mom & dad's, and even a little over a mile back on the main highway (mom & dad's place is a little over a mile down a state road east of the main 4-lane), I can barely hold onto a Sprint 3G data connection there either. Honestly, I don't know why anyone would bother wasting time with the Sprint map assuming they have any knowledge of Sensorly.com to begin with.

    LG G3

New screenshot of the G3: http://www.newcellphonesblog.com/lg-g3-screenshot-with-new-ui.html Edit: Actually I didn't notice the source at first, PhoneArena has a little more detail: http://www.phonearena.com/news/Alleged-LG-G3-screenshot-hints-at-more-flat-design-to-Optimus-UI_id54973
  15. For twospirits and whoever else has assisted in reworking the stickied FAQ thread, that is outstanding work that's been needed a good while here, and while I know it will help me personally at times as well myself, this should really help out new members looking to learn. Major tip of the hat to anyone and everyone involved in constructing all that information and getting it right.
