  1. You are able to add the free international data on SERO plan? If so what do you have to do? EDIT: I was able to find the International Value Roaming option under "Change my Services" on my account. Thanks again Sprint.
  2. Its too early to tell. Untli we have the FCC documents, we can't confirm at the moment whether it will contain the CCA bands. Given how the Sprint versions of the HTC One M9 and Galaxy S6 contain the CCA LTE bands, I don't see why the LG G4 would suddenly not have the CCA LTE bands in it. It would be real strange if they did that.
  3. I am liking that Sprint is trying to compete with Tmobile in offering free international data roaming as part of a perk on its cell phone plans. Hopefully Sprint over time can add more countries to the list all over the world. How dare Sprint not include "America's Hat" I agree that Sprint needs a "test drive" program to get people to try Sprint service without the strings attached. It could be for the iPhone or the Galaxy S6. If the test drive was just for the iPhone, they mind as well do it and take full advantage of that 20 billion dollar deal they made with Apple 4 years ago.
  4. Yup and for me as a case user, I the outside material doesn't matter as much as the internals do. A perfect example is the GS6...they made it a nice unibody design which is good to hold since its the first time they get away from all that plastic stuff but they did do some compromises with the lack of removable battery, smaller battery and lack of SD card slot. You would have to think that if they were are going to put an unremovable battery that it should be at least the same capacity as the previous generation if not higher.
  5. Now if only Sprint could update its own coverage maps to a better GUI without having to pan so much on that tiny square that would be great especially if they are doing sitewide website redesign.
  6. I totally agree with you on that. Well to be fair to Sprint, Tmobile/AT&T needed fiber backhaul much earlier than Sprint did because HSPA required sufficient backhaul to run properly so they had a huge head start in upgrading its towers to fiber. Verizon and Sprint did not need to rush to upgrade its backhaul as soon because EVDO Rev A maxes out a 3.1 Mbps. Had EVDO Rev B been available way earlier like 2003-2004, then perhaps Sprint and Verizon would have considered upgrading to EVDO Rev B which requires fiber backhaul since it could support up to 14.7 Mbps.
  7. That is very true but 800 MHz LTE deployment in the western part of the US has become slow to a crawl. Hopefully this picks up in the latter half of 2015. Looking at the maps, the east coast for 800 MHz LTE looks pretty good so far but boy is there still a ton of work that needs to be done on that front. Eventually Sprint will need to deploy 800 MHz in Canada and Mexico IBEZ areas once they are given the OK to do.
  8. If Sprint doesn't participate in the 600 MHz auction....I'll say they are toast. They need low band spectrum so badly its not even funny. I am sorry but Sprint's urban coverage is no where near as dense as Tmobile's urban coverage and there many places where there is still gaping holes of poor coverage for voice and data which can be relieved by low band spectrum. No way Sprint gets that. All the carriers will be lucky if they can get 84 MHz total cleared for bidding. Sprint needs at least a 10x10 out of the auction but hell why not go for 15x15 if available.
  9. So it has been several days since using your recommended fix of turning off the "OK Google from any screen" option under Voice and I have to say that the issue is completely gone. All my calls since turning that option off people have been telling me that they hear me loud and clear now without having to call hangup and call them back multiple times. I am surprised that such a tiny fix makes all the difference. Thanks again for the tip. For those that still get the muffled voice issue, it has nothing to do with dust gathering up in your microphone and need compressed air to clear it out. Just go to the Google app and turn off the "OK Google from any screen" option and it will fix the issue.
  10. Orange County can't deploy LTE 800 and CDMA 800 because of San Bernardino county PS services which are cockblocking the deployment since they haven't relocated to the new spectrum which they belong. The IBEZ issue only affects the San Diego county which Sprint and Mexico is already in the progress of rebanding. They approved of the 800 MHz rebanding plan since Aug 2013 and is required to be complete by Feb 23, 2016. So hopefully they beat those expectations and can complete the rebanding effort in San Diego by end of 2015. http://www.fcc.gov/document/commencement-800-mhz-band-reconfiguration-along-mexico-border
  11. Ahh in that case, I'll just leave the "OK Google" option disabled since that is the best solution since if I ever needed to use Google Now, I'll just use my Android Wear watch. I'll try it out and see if this permanently fixes my issue. Thanks again for the tip. However I am a bit surprised that this only affects the LG G2. I would expect this issue to affect all Android phones. I still think LG and/or Google needs to fix this huge bug in the Lollipop update. Its ridiculous that bugs like this fall through the cracks.
  12. So are you saying the way to fix this issue you have to turn off the OK Google from any screen option AND enable the enhanced voice switch (I assume you mean the option under Phone -> Call Settings ->Voice Enhancement)? OR just turn off the OK Google option? Do you always keep the "Voice Enhancement" option checked at all times because I have read that some people say this doesn't help with the muffling issue. But then again they might not have been aware about turning off the OK Google option from any screen thing. God I hope LG fixes this bug in the Lollipop update as this is absolutely unacceptable. I thought it was me going crazy but yeah I have noticed this crap just happening a few weeks ago. Perhaps it was a google search update that botched things up but I do notice I don't have the voice enhancement option checked.
  13. Thanks. I will give it a try tonight. Is this really just the solution or is this just a band aid fix?
  14. I know this has probably occurred to at least someone before but my G2 is getting a bad case of the muffled voice syndrome where it seems like 50% of my calls, the receiver on the other end is telling me that they can barely hear me but I can hear them just fine. Its really started to annoy me because I need to be able to use my cell phone as of late for the voice part to take care of some deals. I think its a LG issue but I don't know why all of a sudden in my 1.5 years of owning the phone is this starting to happen. Is it the ZVE update? Anyone who has this issue know a good way to fix this? I have read stuff like to use compress air to blow any lint or dust off the microphone holes or speaker holes but I am not sure if that is the only reason. Any advice?
  15. Whoops, I read your previous post incorrectly. Sorry...my fault. Yeah hopefully B12 LTE deployment in LA is deployed quickly. Tmobile is going to need all it can get if it wants to meet that 300M POPs goal by end of 2015.
  16. I am not talking about Sprint. I am talking about Tmobile now that they got the green light to deploy 700 MHz LTE in the LA/OC counties. Tmobile actually have most of CA with the 700 MHz A block license. What I would like to see is Sprint and San Bernardino make some stinking progress on clearing PS so that Sprint can finally deploy 800 MHz LTE in the LA/OC counties. https://spectrum-gateway.appspot.com/t-mobile-700-mhz-spectrum.html
  17. I can't wait to see LA filled up with 700 MHz LTE.
  18. Wow this sucks. I just checked my upgrade eligibility and yes it changed from 6/1/14 to 10/1/14. This is such BS. At least Sprint should honor their commitment 2 years ago when I was still under the 20 month upgrade cycle policy. I understand the rules have changed to 24 months but this should ONLY be applicable on new 2 year contracts going forward.
  19. I hope all these rumors are incorrect about some type of curvature for the body of the phone.
  20. See this excerpt about one of the top features of Android 5.1. There are few things you are misunderstanding about Android 5.1 HD voice and Sprint's HD voice. What Android 5.1 is proposing is that calls between any Android users with devices using Android 5.1 is that their calls will be HD voice and they specifically call out Verizon and Tmobile getting upgrades being able to take advantage of this. Sprint's HD voice is limited to only calls between Sprint customers with HD voice capable devices. That is a huge difference in that the former applies to a larger pool of Android users while the latter applies to only Sprint customers. This has nothing to do with Sprint stripping out the HD voice capability BETWEEN Sprint customers...of course that will remain. My point was why doesn't the article list Sprint as being able to take advantage of Android 5.1's HD voice support especially when its cell towers are able to support HD voice? http://www.androidcentral.com/whats-new-android-51-some-big-and-small-changes-updated-lollipop-release#slide3
  21. My hope is that the current ZVF build in testing for Android 5.0.2 fails and that they migrate to Android 5.1. Android 5.1 adds some nice features and I am willing to wait a few more months to have those features incorporated. Since Xposed for Lollipop is still in testing, I don't really care for Lollipop at this point. The weird thing is that one of the main features for Android 5.1 is the ability of HD Voice but the article only mentions Verizon and Tmobile being able to take advantage of HD voice; What happened to Sprint? Sprint is actually deploying 1xAdvanced so I would expect that they would be able to use HD voice in Android 5.1. But my expectations of the OEM and carrier are really low so in reality I don't expect them to abandon Android 5.0.2 baseline and will fix any bugs necessary for the Android 5.0.2 baseline.
  22. Don't even bring the Vigor phone garbage into this conversation . Its a slap to the face since that phone sucks. The specs on the LG G3 Vigor are sooooo bad.
  23. I doubt it. That ship has sailed since the LG G2 phone was released in 2013. I think all 2014 Sprint LTE phones have wifi calling built in.
  24. What I would say to that is there are phones out there that meet your criteria of larger screen sizes in the Note 4, LG G Flex 2, Nexus 6, etc. Making the LG G4 about the same size as the LG G Pro 2/LG G Flex 2 is absolutely unnecessary and just cannibalizes sales of the other 2 phones. While some people prefer the larger phones (5.5 in and up) there are still plenty of folks who still would like to see the 5.1-5.3 inch range. The LG G Flex 2 has all the latest and greatest specs in the Snapdragon 810 chip and quad HD display. If you are looking for 1 device that satisfies both functionalities then either of the 3 devices out there in the market are available. It would further make my argument if the LG G Pro 2 was actually released in the US.
  25. Its a bummer that the M9 wasn't tested for UMTS so that the phone can't be unlocked and used on AT&T or Tmobile.
