  1. It is a great move for the urban NYC market. Sprint has a strong network in the inner boroughs and might as well capitalize on that to shore up subscriber numbers. For those tri-staters outside the city, hopefully it will translate into suburban improvements.
  2. Sadly, Sprint let two of the City of Tampa permits expire, but did complete work on the other two. I just don't get why you file for permits and then don't follow through. Mobilitie is continuing to work its way through the process and filed revised plans right before the 4th of July holiday. Hopefully, they will get the green light soon.
  3. I asked this question to International Support and they said it should carry over as long as you are in the same price point. So basically, if you're going to China you'll need to pay that rate.

    HTC U11

I only ordered yesterday. Should've ordered earlier. #FOMO
  5. Well I was just able to replicate it again.... It looks like the phone is using both CDMA and LTE radios?
  6. Yeah, I was thinking it was LTE, but didn't want to get my hopes up. I have not been able to replicate it yet, but I was on Wifi calling and then disabled it my wifi as I was leaving the office. Oddly enough, it didn't drop like I expected. Quasi-useful screen shot below
  7. I had a weird experience today. I was on a call and my LTE service remained active. I was able to chat over hangouts and had no issues. Anyone else experience this before?
  8. They have also included that map a few times in investor documentation.
  9. Looks like Mobilitie's February was a mere registration, but last week they applied for new RoW poles. This time in much better locations and the plans are actually being reviewed/approved unlike their last attempt. One of the locations is literally next to the main Sprint store in the area. If you search for Mobilitie here you will see the permit and all of the drawings.
  10. Has Band 71 (600mhz) been formally approved by 3GPP yet? I'd assume manufacturers are already working on equipment, but I don't believe the most recent flagships have that right radio built in.....
  11. They had the call, but didn't seem to follow previous protocol with using the investor relations events system. http://investor.shentel.com/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=1010175
  12. Shentel knows West Virginia and rural MD. Smart to outsource this footprint. I only wish it included rural Loudoun County.
  13. Some updates from the Tampa area. In the City, Mobilitie has just applied for another RoW permit, but no details are available yet. Of the four B41 mini macro permits pulled, one is up for final inspection today. If we have any lurkers in New Tampa, please drive by 16200 Bruce B Downs Blvd (the fire station) to see if it's live. No inspection on the other three. Of the three Clearwater permits, one is up for inspection tomorrow. So there is some tangible progress it seems!
  14. That letter confirms that the requested waiver is approved. Now Sprint just needs to deploy, which I believe people are seeing signs of B26 a few posts up.
  15. PR is becoming a Joint Venture. Not necessairly a bad idea. http://investors.sprint.com/news-and-events/press-releases/press-release-details/2017/Sprint-and-Open-Mobile-Announce-Joint-Venture-in-Puerto-Rico-and-US-Virgin-Islands/default.aspx
  16. Yeah, popped up on my Bloomberg terminal. Masa will help finance. Looking for a public source for the forum to back us up.
  17. I'm on a newly 'legacy' Unlimited Freedom plan and just streamed a video at 1080p. I know I've seen instances of others streaming about the noted 480p+ cap. Anyone else have that same experience?
  18. Of course that is always a possibility, but I wouldn't compare the MetroPCS transaction and general day-to-day management of the company.
  19. I know we are all a little peeved at Marcelo. However, let's not forget that under Hesse's tenure, he led a poor NV roll out and Sprint's cost base was insane. Imagine if Hesse spent more time cutting expenses and attacking the corporate bureaucracy while deploying NV, Sprint would've had more funds to expand and densify. Marcelo isn't perfect, but I think we shouldn't gloss over the execution issues under the previous management.
  20. Much like Verizon is doing in Boston, Comcast could use it's regional fiber networks to expedite small cells in those areas. While 99% of Comcast customers do not have Fiber to the home, I do believe their network is fiber to the node.
  21. Sorry, I was talking about this text from the article, "The spokeswoman said a total of 13 devices are three-carrier aggregation capable, but the carrier has yet to enable the feature on the other six devices." What are (speculating) the other six devices?
  22. Not sure if this has been fully discussed or if there is another list out there, but this article mentions six other, 3xCA capable devices that aren't active. Is there a running list? I assume the Pixel/Pixel XL make up two of the six. https://www.wirelessweek.com/news/2017/01/sprint-enables-3-carrier-aggregation-more-devices
