  1. Looks like Sprint filed three B41 permits in Clearwater too...
  2. If you've been following the Tampa thread, Sprint filed and received four permits for mini-macros in the City of Tampa in December/January. I'm sure there are other permits filed in the Tampa Bay area, but the city has the best permitting system. Mobilitie also filed to install small cells, but it never got issue due to their own issues. Also, trying to put a 70 foot pole in front of someone's house on the most scenic boulevard in the area probably wasn't going to go over very well...
  3. This is probably the most realistic option because Trump has been vocally against more mergers like Comcast/NBC Uni & AT&T/Time Warner, where the content deliverers now own the content providers. It's too early to tell how he would approach similar industries consolidating.
  4. Historical CapEx may kill them, but there is a way forward as an independent company as long as they can execute on their unique densification plan. Like anything with Sprint, execution has been their biggest weakness. Our country is large enough to support four major carriers and until there really is a '5G' standard that isn't relying on the LTE framework let's not fret too much about it.
  5. I think it's more of an issue with Celebration versus urban Orlando. The last time I was in Celebration service was pretty bad, but then again that whole town is different...
  6. Maybe it will be a weekend project... hopefully... B41 in the 'Metro Center' DC core could use the capacity.
  7. I believe they were all done at the BTA level, so the map I originally linked too. BTAs do not always line up with city/county/state lines.
  8. Ah sorry, I was not speaking to Sprint markets and as a native to Tampa, I get what you mean. I was speaking to BTAs which Gainesville (326) does border the Tampa Bay BTA (440)(Hillsborough up to Citrus County). http://wireless.fcc.gov/auctions/data/maps/bta.pdf
  9. BTAs: Sarasota, Gainesville, Lakeland, Orlando - All bordering the larger Tampa Bay metro area.
  10. Ah yeah, literally every market surrounding urban Tampa Bay (Hillsborough/Pinellas Counties) participated in a swap. Woof.
  11. Ditto on B25 10x10, that said - Sprint has started pulling (and been issued) permits for B41 upgrades in Tampa. So movement resumes on that front.
  12. Have we confirmed that though? Based on the logs we discussed on the local thread, I don't know if we can confirm a third carrier is live in the District.
  13. Eh, this should be more of an administrative change than a political one... so hoping it would avoid that. You never know though.
  14. I've been checking in on the outstanding spectrum swaps and they seem at a standstill per the FCC website. Really frustrating.
  15. For those curious about a third B41 carrier in DC, I have screenshots of 41176 (personal 5x) and 41374 (work 6s). This all from 11th and H st NW in the District. I'll keep an eye out for 40978, but not sure if one of my fellow Washingtonians could add that. 41176 41374
  16. I think they are assuming there will be one because of the Inauguration network announcement around the same time four years ago. That said, work on the DC network has pretty much stalled over the past year or so.
  17. Another B41 mini macro permit application was filed on 12/23 with the City. Looks like things really are moving at Sprint.
  18. Why aren't we more outraged that most American high school students aren't required to learn civics? https://t.co/NE0AmtGt6r

  19. As long as the merger rumors stay alive and/or their fiscal turnaround continues to show progress, I think it should stay just around $8-$8.50.
  20. I didn't realize Tampa was that far behind, the network seems pretty solid within the city core. The airport has improved, but could still use a DAS.
  21. Three new permits filed for adding B41 equipment to existing towers. Looks like things are moving again. Search for them here: https://aca.tampagov.net/citizenaccess/
  22. You can never contain NIMBY rage. I was just elected to a neighborhood commissioner and I am gearing up to hear their wishes. Pass the zoloft please.
