Sprint Home Wifi Router [Wi-Fi Connect][Asus AC66u]
djw39 replied to marioc21's topic in General Topics
Any thoughts/experiences on battery life when using wifi + airave, vs wifi calling w/o airave? Sent from my 0PJA2 using Tapatalk -
Screen is cracked on my LG G2 and considering M9 or Nexus 5X as replacements. They are similar physical dimensions, either one gets me up to marshmallow, M9 has great speakers and nexus speaker is reportedly awful. Camera... honestly my wife takes most of the pictures anyway. So, you people like this phone or what? Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

Is there precedent for this? Do other Sprint handsets esp. G3 or G4 have a second update which addresses only stagefright related issues? Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

I don't know is there any way to look through the source to figure out what's in there? Probably a waste of time since we'll find out in a couple of days. My money is on new signal icon style... and nothing else Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

Source is up for ZVI, look for another update this Monday http://opensource.lge.com/osSch/list?types=ALL&search=ls980 Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

Yeah, it looks like about a month lag between rdf posting and pushing the update, so we probably have a little ways to go before ZVI is ready Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

The rdf link doesn't change, it is http://device.sprintpcs.com/LG/LS980-SPRINT/latest and open in internet explorer to view it properly Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

Zvh is stagefright update. Zvi unknown. Signal icons and wifi calling are two possibilities that don't have to involve a 5.1 update Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

Rdf for ZVI is up already Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

The network vision upgrades helped a lot uptown, there is even service deep inside buildings now. But no progress in these residential neighborhoods (which are still within the city limits, not far-flung areas by any means). So I think a B sounds about right. Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

ZVH is coming... http://opensource.lge.com/osSch/list?types=ALL&search=ls980 Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

As a G2 user, it's still kind of wait and see for me. What is better about the 5X? Camera? Battery? Screen? Speaker quality? Bezel size? Memory management? Fingerprint sensor? Most of these are still unknowns. But bezel size is known, and is not an improvement. Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

That's interesting and rather optimistic in a way. I still am encountering plenty of dead spots in the providence/Fairview/sardis areas, where the phone will drop to 3G and data will stall completely. But where I assumed it was just inadequate tower spacing, you guys think it can be solved by re-tuning? That would be swell Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

I think if I decide to go big it will be the Note 5. I can't imagine the ergonomics and build quality for a big phone will get any better than that. More likely I will stick with my G2 until sprint gets a red/orange 5x. Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

Can you handle the airave in one shot by setting its MAC address to highest priority? Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

In other news ZVH is on the rdf page, but it's still 5.0.2 Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

I would expect OIS in the camera, and LG's laser autofocus is also rumored. Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

I'm thinking I'll get in March or so when they come out with the red version. And I'll buy it used

Specs leak! http://www.gizmochina.com/2015/08/03/google-nexus-5-huawei-nexus-specs-leaked/ The buzz is Snapdragon 620 using new ARM cores, cortex A72. Camera f/1.8, laser autofocus, OIS. USB type C. I think this sounds pretty great.

I watched the announcement live stream. The Moto guy did specifically say the Pure edition will work on Sprint. They also said specifically that no US release is planned for the "Play" phone. Pure is just the US branding for the "style" phone

My New Plan Idea with a Network-Variable Speed Cap

Great business ideas, you should start your own wireless carrier -
Android Police broke this story, and commits in AOSP were found by another party which reference an LG device "bullhead" (2013 Nexus 5 was "hammerhead"). So it's not just the scraper sites.
