  1. That might almost convince me to buy one. Almost. We'll see what Apple has in store...
  2. An OS agnostic app, already built in to all Android phones, capable of text chat as well as video calls? Google Hangouts. It's even hinted that the next version will include SMS support, which could provide an OS-agnostic iMessage and Facetime like experience.
  3. Are you gonna swap back and forth between your previous handset? Or will you just be ONE OF US with the G2?
  4. Oh, Google, you shouldn't have~ Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk
  5. Oh, so it's not just Google saying I need a little more gay in my life? Google seems like the company to do something like that, honestly.
  6. Yeah, no kidding. I'm not sure if it's giving me results based on my, ah, web history, but, Those were the only apps that came up, and that last result...
  7. The new plans for SAYGO make more sense, honestly, and are even more competitive. I imagine that this is due to SAYGO's middling to poor sales, along with the price plan comparison to One Up.
  8. How are you getting $190? $49.99 - tablet. $36 - activation fee. waived if you have the Credit Union discount on your account. There's also Sales Tax, I suppose. But that's either $49.99 or $85.99, plus tax. You're then looking at $15/month for 2 GB of data. That's not really comparable to a WiFi only device in price. The LTE version of the Nexus 7 is $349, and then $20/month for 1 GB on VZW, $30/month for 3 GB on ATT, and $30/month for 2.5 GB on TMo. Obviously, a WiFi only device is cheaper overall and has no Monthly Recurring Cost... but it's WiFi only, and well, this is S4GRU, not WiFiRU That being said, I personally own a Nexus 7 2013, and have played with a Tab 3 (as of like 20 minutes ago), and I much prefer the Nexus 7.
  9. Sure, enable Airplane Mode and then re-enable WiFi. I have no idea. I'd check on our Demo Tablets, but Sprint's demo accounts include unlimited hotspot service by default anyways, so that wouldn't really help out. I can try and sneak check it next time we sell one...
  10. They actually just extended that 2 GB/$15 promotion. It was set to end on Friday, but they kept it going. It's definitely a good deal, but if you do go with the $5/month plan, you have to watch out - it's only 25 MB of data, and overages are $15/GB. If you use it at all outside of WiFi, you'll get smacked. Do note that you have to sign a two-year contract on the tab to do this. That's not something many people are willing to do. Also also note that, in the store, you'll almost never get someone telling you about the $5/month plan. I am under the impression that dealers only get fully paid on a tablet sale that's on a plan that's at least the $15.

    HTC ONE vs EVO LTE

The HTC EVO 4G LTE that I owned had RF issues. When I owned the handset, I was often unable to find service at all in "edge-of-service" and "cell-edge" scenarios where other devices would see ~-100 dBm on 1X. It also had a "death grip" issue for its CDMA 850 antenna; when roaming on VZW's 850 MHz CDMA, touching the device would cause a drop anywhere from 10 to 20 dBm. I never had the chance to test it on 4G LTE nor 1X 800, as I switched to the Samsung Galaxy Note II before Network Vision was in full swing in my market.
  12. Hi there, I never did hear back from this issue. When I said "kentwood" earlier, I was referring to the Kentwood 4G Core, which covers almost all of West Michigan, as I understand it. I had thought this issue fixed, as I have not personally experienced it in quite some time.
  13. I am under the impression that Telesales cannot handle Upgrade Now transactions. In fact, I believe only Account Services can, as well as Corporate Retail Stores.
  14. The old plans end tomorrow. You can still stay on the old plans if you're already on them, but will be unable to switch to them. You can still upgrade as normal, and can even add lines up to the limit of 5 on a single share plan. In order to take advantage of Sprint One Up for Smartphones, you must be on a My Way or My All In plan, however. EPRP and SERO are also being expired, iirc. I don't have that information on hand. To answer the above question, the discount is off of $110, no matter how many lines you have. So, for 4+ lines on Everything, My Way, the discount is off of a larger portion of the bill. This also makes a lot more sense. "The more you buy, the more you save", they likely will tell you.
  15. There are still plenty of folks out there clocking 3000 minutes per line per month. That just happens to use a lot less network capacity than "unlimited data" and streaming video.
  16. Can we spin this off in to its own thread? Around here, M-50 is called "Alden Nash Ave SE"... which turns in to "Segwun Ave SE", which turns in to "North Hudson St Se" (suddenly it's a street, not an avenue, and it's "north southeast"). And then turns in to "Lincoln Lake Ave". Which goes for 20 miles until it hits the actual Lincoln Lake. Inexplicably, there is another "Alden Nash Ave SE", to the northwest of the other "southeast" one. And if you go the other way down M-50, it becomes 92nd St SE turns in to Thompson Rd turns in to Nash Highway turns in to West Tupper Lake Rd turns in to Laurel Dr turns in to Jordan Lake St turns in to M-50 (yes, it's called just M-50 there) turns in to Velte Rd turns in to Brown Rd turns in to West Grand Ledge Highway turns in to M-43 (but still West Grand Ledge Highway). Yup. Around here, Exit 52 on I-96 East is labelled "Lowell, Charlotte". Lowell is nearby. It's also the exit for Alto, Saranac, Belding, Hastings, Middleville... and yet Charlotte is a good hour to the east. You're better off connecting to another freeway entirely closer to Lansing, something like 60 miles away, in order to get there. It really makes no sense.
  17. I was told by our Sammy rep "You can take a hammer to this thing". If that's true, even without being actually flexible in the wobbly manner, that's pretty awesome.
  18. Absolutely nothing because it's interleaved and interferes with public safety. AFAIK.
  19. That article just kinda makes me go "Wow, Moffett has no idea what he's talking about". It's also disturbing that he doesn't seem to include his math at all. How can you say "this is the best" without the proof behind it? If we're going on that logic, I can say "nope, Sprint is the best, you're the worst", with no need for evidence.
  20. Guys, the official training video from LG sent out to sprint store employees spends a bit of time talking about it being triband. I really wouldn't worry. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 4
  21. I doubt it; there was no mention of the case on my pre-order page. I won't miss it. I don't put cases on my phones anyways (because I don't drop my phones). I would imagine a mid-October release. They wouldn't start hyping it up with over another month to go before release. I would be shocked if it was November. Another thing to mention, my price was $199.99. That's probably going to be the general consumer pricing, however, sometimes ours is different (either up or down).
  22. As a Sprint third-party employee, I can "upgrade" through a special program, once a year. The LG G2 showed up available for pre-order, and I jumped on it. Edit: An no, no idea what the release date is.
  23. Who just pre-ordered a LG G2? This guy. Got it in White. Well, will get it. Frankly, I'm pretty excited for it. And not only because I now live closer to a legacy Clearwire site (not a protection site!) than I do to a Sprint site.
