What's different about Shentel that Robert doesn't get info from his Sprint sources about upgrades? Is it not part of Sprint? If now why do we care if they get LTE towers?

Depends on the phone etc. You can get aScreenshot from the play store. That's what I use on the EVO, on the Note 2 there is a built in snapshot in Jellybean used with a plam swipe.

You can make it act like a desktop if you work at it and make changes. You shouldn't have to. Do you want a system that really wants push you to use a desktop like a tablet or big phone? A buddy of mine had a cheap $15 upgrade to Windows 8 and ran the upgrade advisor program to check if there would be issues. It left the system hung and he had to reinstall. He wasn't even installing 8 just running the program to check if it was compatible. I am sticking to 7 on this machine and XP on another. Windows 7 won't let me run a couple programs I need for programing some microcontrolers.

Thanks but I want to change the DNS I use while on 3G/LTE not on wifi.

Not sure what does that but I had a problem with a site that would show up on the free wifi at home but not on the phone. Still does it just checked www.emcu.it It must be DNS related for me cause when I set my computer to use google dns 8.8.8.8 it will then load it while tethered. Not sure how to set a dns on the phone

Not going back to the HTC EVO 4G unless I need fast data for a night or two. Not used the pen on the 2 much at all, I probably could have lived with a GS3 just as well both are big improvements from the EVO. Only issues I have is not finding settings on the phone, after 2 and half years on the EVO I knew where every setting lived and had them all the way I liked.

Thanks. I take it then that some may have 800 for voice on and you don't have to wait for the whole IDEN network shutdown natioinwide for some sites to be able to fire up 800 Mhz voice calling. I know LTE will have to wait for the IDEN shutdown. I wasn't sure about just the voice part.

I got my self confused. The sites that are going live now with 800 Mhz accepted by Sprint, can you make a call on 800 or are they just ready for when the IDEN network shuts down later on.

I still have the little spy looking icon next to the url after exiting the window, powering down, rebooting the phone, and hitting reset to defaults in browser settings. I guess I will try google again.

Odd this topic came back from the dead after half a year. Im just a newbie here but Robert really summed up the most important part of the argument to me here: " I wanted to bring you all some of this great content I have, but it needs to be to a smaller and more manageable pool of people. I would never publish a site by site NV schedule publicly. It would be chaos and Sprint would likely shut us down." If S4GRU went add supported the site as we know it would end if not by being directly shut down then by content not being made available for fear of being hounded by those who would like to spoon feed us only what is in their best interest at the moment.

I want a couple things I don't think stock will give me but I am waiting to try rooting. Titanium backup, and that add blocker. Then a few little tweaks here and there. Maybe I don't need root for them. On the notification pull down I would like to have a way to put in a few shortcuts to apps. I like having a flashlight app easy to find but out of the way for one. And I would like to get rid of stuff I don't want running, There isn't too much bloat but it could be better.
