Does anyone know exactly how much 2.5 spectrum sprint will have here for LTE after WiMAX shuts down on Monday? I keep getting an error when I try to look on the FCCs website.
My experience with Verizon roaming has been pretty weird. I cannot seem to pass data over EVDO although my phone picks it up. Verizon 1x loads things but my phone pretty much always picks up EVDO over 1x. Tried a PRL update with no luck. Anyone else seeing this?
With Tmos 700mhz their LTE coverage is as good as if not even better than their GSM/WCDMA coverage. Also, there is a technology available today which Tmo uses that allows voice handoff between LTE and WCDMA.
They aren't useless...there's still LTE. Sprint will probably use their A block license to deploy CDMA at some point. It's just that they have to have something up in the G-Block by March 3rd.
That would be nice and pretty effective imo but I would change the 3GB to 7GB. A national carrier definitely cannot operate on $40 unlimited plans. Plus sprint is deep in depth. They need to be bringing in more money that just enough to cover operating costs. They have to start making payments.
I roam on Verizon 1x (and now EVDO) at least once a week. At both of my best friends places there is pretty much no sprint signal and I can name a few other areas I know I always roam.
