  1. But that slightly decomposed garbage turned into a very beautiful orange Seriously though, re-branding something isn't worth it if something new isn't offered. If Sprint decides to go after the re-brand route, it should be done after a significant portion of NV is complete. I don't see rebranding necessary, but if given the time, negative sigma of the Sprint name from bad experiences from pass(and current) customers will fade. Besides, I don't see people raving about how good Xfinity is in comparison to good-old Kabletown...
  2. OT, does Sprint still have their customer advocate program?
  3. Also announced LTE is launching in Vegas this month. http://www.tmonews.com/2013/01/t-mobile-cto-neville-ray-drops-hints-that-las-vegas-lte-market-launch-happening-before-end-of-january/
  4. Are there additional fees on top of the prices given?
  5. I just hope the HW would the up-to-date for the time they release it(S4 Pro).
  6. I'm honestly shocked. Sent from my Nokia Lumia 920 using Board Express
  7. Wait, wait... People have affinity for the Sprint brand?
  8. Why do current devices(regardless of carrier) only have one or two bands (of the many it has for CDMA, GSM, etc.) with LTE capabilities?
  9. Wouldn't one good advantage of having SIMs is the ability to use devices not sold by Sprint(contingent on the device supporting one of Sprint bands)?
  10. I don't believe that there is anything in stone in regards to LTE roaming. If a carrier is offering a phone with PCS & LTE, why not just put BC 25 on it? No harm done, and maybe, just maybe, begin a trend of the creation of LTE devices that are cross-carrier compatible. But I'm only one man
  11. I see it's existence as pointless.
  12. It might be possibly that the internet connect on the Boost device is being run through a Boost proxy that is further away than the one used by the Sprint device. AFAIK, this was, and still it, the case for Virgin devices(at least for 3G).
  13. If one has the SERO plan, why would they give it up? If offered, why not accept it? SERO was never publicly advertised, thus the amount of people on those plans are limited. I see SERO has a loyalty perk at this point, since there isn't such a program at Sprint(or much of the industry) anymore. SoftBank can shake-up the marketed plan pricing as they please(like their Double White plan in Japan), but if the new offering isn't much of a benefit to subscribers on older plans, why change?
  14. From looking at his blog, yes. He's also alive. http://mcguireslaw.com/
  15. The Mogul is one tough cookie. Unfortunately, I lost mind to water damage
  16. Staying on topic, maybe SIMs would be available with the tri-band LTE devices that could be arriving later this year(it's after midnight of the east coast). Any word on those 800MHz LTE FITs?
  17. How does killing SERO help Sprint? The only possible upside is that they can collect more revenue per customer. However, how many of those SERO customers(in which Sprint will have to void their contracts) will actually stay?
  18. There is also the possibility of SIM-swapping between Sprint-proper devices and the SPG(Boost & Virgin) LTE devices that will be released in the new year. Doesn't do much for Sprint, but it would be nice for me
  19. I'm assuming you guys mean SIMs that include LTE & CDMA provisioning. In any case, was it really necessary for Sprint to lock down the SIM slots on LTE devices(excluding the iPhone)? Sprint has continued to sell World Phones with user-accessable SIM slots even after the Nextel merger so many years ago. However, this seems to have ended with the release of the Photon Q.
  20. So...how about that WCS guys? Sprint got some of that, right?
  21. Not is not for the spectrum, it's to make it easier for them get their network deployed on their own. Yes, Dish will have to get new equipment, but it does make the whole permitting & building process a lot easier. That, and Sprint will be able to offload those site leases. My only thing is how much will Sprint have to pay Dish to keep WiMAX running, since there's no way in hell Sprint would deploy brand-Spanking-new WiMAX equipment as part of NV.
  22. Not sure if this was already discussed, but why not sell the Clearwire infrastructure to Dish?
  23. This would be a great article. Signal Propagation: WiMAX vs. the wet-paper bag(pt. 1)
