  1. The DOJ is just requesting time to review the deal with foreign investment, as done with DT/Voicestream deal. They're not activity trying to stop the deal from happening. Huawei is owned by it's employees.
  2. The DOJ inquiry seems to be nothing to make a big fuss about, as DT went though the same thing when they bought Voicestream years ago. I do wonder how far this deal would go if it was China Mobile. I personally don't have any issues with such a deal happening, but then again, I'm not senator, regulatory body, corporation, or a lobbyist. The new T-Mobile/MetroPCS entity will be 76% owned by DT, with the rest owned by MetroPCS and their shareholders. In all, I, an american consumer only see good things coming from the approval of this investment.
  3. Wouldn't mind pitching to help either. We'll try not to burn down the house while you're gone
  4. When are the first NV markets scheduled to be "completed" or at least mostly done?
  5. Most Sprint however don't, primarily applicable to phone sold before 2012 and w/o LTE. I think it was a useful point. New feature? No.
  6. I'm currently using Chrome. Generally it seems like direct linking to a FCC file gets me the error page. But accessing via the file index page works fine.
  7. I considered upgrade to the triple play and adding on OOL Ultra(100/15) for $66/mo, but I've yet to really think for the use of all that down speed. Upload speeds is what makes FiOS attractive to me, but I do love my current deal.
  8. It does make me think if SoftBank plans to expand their U.S. presence(pending reg. approval) outside of wireless...
  9. How does TD-LTE work in terms of antenna setup compared to FDD? MIMO, diversity n all...
  10. Cablevision works quite well for me since I only have Optimum Online(Basic tier 15/2). Most of my TV is via Hulu/Netflix/Aereo, This only cost me $30 a month(for 6 months, in which I can just call the and renew the deal since I live in a FiOS area). FiOS internet stand-alone is almost $60.
  11. I'm not so sure if Son + Co really want to get into a game of financial chicken with Ergen. The seems that Clearwire is a critical part of this this deal going through. No Clearwire, no Sprint/Softbank acquisition. Sprint can pull their acquisition deal from CLWR and fight the case of no-breakup fee, but whatever action/inaction Ergen decides to take is just too much of a risk for Son's acquisition deal.
  12. The tears are already coming
  13. I don't see Sprint seeking for any divestitures from NewCo(T-Mo/Metro). The Sprint/Clearwire/SoftBank/USCC deal combo-pak is already moving it's way through our regulatory system. Not only would it look a bit greedy to go after NewCo for divestitures, but it may only bring another party that would get in the their way from getting these deals done. As for what may come after these deals are completed, I don't see any budding relationship with Sp-ank-wire(don't google that) and NewCo for at least a few years.
  14. My phone has been experiencing slow data speeds with it switching between 1x and EvDO all day. Only to realize that I have AT&T. HSPA+ must be going.
  15. How many POPs would VZW & Sprint cover when their respective LTE deployment is (initially) completed? Sent from my Nokia Lumia 920 using Board Express
  16. Oh yes, "He who shall not be named". He was actually named one of " Best Managers" by BusinessWeek back in '04. Maybe HP should hire him Sent from my Nokia Lumia 920 using Board Express
  17. And another campaign promise down the drain... http://www.theverge....tition-response
  18. I'm pretty sure that there are some hardline extremis....err...Verizon Wireless customers that feel that Sprint is the Battlefield Earth of wireless carriers. As far as they know, that extra cash means that they can look down on us...
  19. (A)T&T/(V)ZW/(T)-Mobile/(S)print As for why they all say GSM, idk.
