  1. Interesting tweet from Walt Piecyk: https://twitter.com/WaltBTIG/status/500020835516940288 I believe someone on here suggested a similar tactic. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  2. Funny, I would've thought that Peyton Manning or Tom Brady was the most recognizable football player in the United States... Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk

  4. I don't see how it would be a bad idea. The sponsor and premier sponsor maps are reality too and those are private. So how does having the running list remain public spur Sprint? I'm pretty sure that they're aware of which of their sites still need to be upgraded and they have their own site, BAW, where they can take reports of bad coverage. 5. Oh definitely. He even posted a link to exactly where he got the stats from. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  6. Yeah and tools like that ipplanman person are why I've sometimes wondered if the Network Vision/LTE deployment running list thread should no longer be public.
  7. Maybe like that, but I don't recall Sprint going on Twitter and touting it as some revolutionary change that was beneficial to consumers even though it effectively raised their prices. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  8. No disrespect to Neal, but I don't think that it's much of a stretch to say that he tends to paint things in the worst possible light when it comes to Sprint....And do the exact opposite when it comes to T-Mobile. It's probably a good idea to solicit additional viewpoints as you're doing here. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  9. The Fierce comments section truly used to be a very nice place for intelligent discourse before the t-mobile fanboys showed up.

  11. By acquiring whom? Or do you think they'll try to expand as a new entrant from the ground up?
  12. Will the Snapdragon 805 support CA though? I'm a bit confused. Looking here: http://www.qualcomm.com/snapdragon/processors/800 the 805 supports Cat. 6 speeds when used with a 4th gen. LTE modem. However, nothing specifically is mentioned about CA, at least that I can see. The 808 & 810 specifically mention CA (3x20 FDD-LTE and TDD-LTE). As for the OP, I'd see about getting something off eBay or whatever to hold me over for the moment and use my upgrade next year on a Snapdragon 810 device.
  13. Assuming you aren't him, it looks like you're getting this theory from that bonehead Kyle Traxler aka ITGeeks (his 532nd different user ID over there ) on DSLR. As has been pointed out by others, that theory is incorrect. A word to the wise, pay little attention to what the guy says about pretty much anything. If it's about Sprint, pay NO attention to what he has to say.
  14. Interestingly, I was checking my personal ticker earlier today way before this news was announced and I had noticed that USM was up over 16% today and it naturally caught my attention. I thought that perhaps there had been some M&A activity involving them, but nothing of that nature was reported so I shrugged it off. Now this though has me wondering... I did see that they had gotten an upgrade to strong buy from Raymond James, but that still seemed like a huge surge simply from one firm's upgrade.
  15. It certainly sounds like he's trying to pack his golden parachute. Perhaps he's also trying to set C-Spire up for a buyout by Masa even if Sprint and T-Mobile don't merge.
  16. No problema. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  17. Because San Bernardino County hasn't totally vacated the spectrum yet. Apparently they operate a site somewhere in Clark County (among others). Until San Bernardino finishes rebanding these three sites, Sprint has told the FCC that they won't begin to deploy Band 26 in Clark County (as well as a couple of California counties). 18. Yep, almost certainly. However, if you're at bachelor party I definitely hope that you're paying attention to something other than your phone!
  19. Same thing with Karl Bode over at DSL Reports. He's generally reported on Sprint's troublesome quarters the day that the numbers are released. When Sprint turns a profit, albeit a small one, for the fist time in years, nada. I'm sure he'll probably be gushing all over T-Mobile's "disruption" tomorrow.
  20. Earnings call transcript: http://seekingalpha.com/article/2358905-sprints-s-ceo-dan-hesse-on-q1-2014-results-earnings-call-transcript?part=single
  21. I like the idea of that. Ideally they'd launch Vegas with full Band 25, 26 and 41 coverage. Unfortunately, a certain California county is taking their sweet time vacating spectrum so our Band 26 is on hold. Regardless, IMO they have to finish their work along The Strip and at McCarran Airport to make the launch credible, still too many brown dots in those two areas. I imagine we'll get there eventually.
