  1. I like all of that except for the unlimited tethering. That's begging for abuse there. The 1 & 3 GB options are good. Maybe have a limited time extra 1 GB promo to make them 2 & 4 GB until 2016. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  2. I have no problem with the $60 price point whatsoever. It's very competitive imo. However, if they wanted to be disruptive they could have made it $60 flat rate with taxes & surcharges included and thrown in a gig, maybe even two of mobile hotspot. So the plan is good as-is in my estimation, but they had/have room to make it great.
  3. Yes, you're correct. I should have stated something like unlimited mobile broadband speeds.
  4. Here are the terms from their website: http://newsroom.t-mobile.com/news/company-news/rescue-sprint-customers.htm If I'm reading this correctly, it look like they're giving a $10 monthly credit for 12 months for referrals. However, the jump from 1GB to unlimited 4G/LTE is $30. So unless someone is on the 5 GB plan, I don't understand how they're advertising a 'free' upgrade to unlimited 4G/LTE for everyone. I freely admit that I could very well be misunderstanding what exactly they're doing.
  5. How can you get unlimited on T-Mobile for $50 with 1 GB of tethering? Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  6. congrats, Mr.Nuke! Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  7. http://www.fiercewireless.com/story/sprint-exec-our-spectrum-position-supports-shared-plans-large-data-buckets/2014-08-20 I'm curious to know what those plans are.
  8. There was a CCA webinar today regarding the device hub and how it works. Here's the PDF of the presentation: http://competitivecarriers.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/CDH-Webinar-14-08-19-v81.pdf And a download of the audio: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hsqgfw8auiizryy/CCA%20Device%20Hub%20Powered%20by%20Apkudo_%20What%20is%20it%20and%20how%20does%20it%20work%3F%208-19-14%2C%202.08%20PM.mov About an hour or so.
  9. Probably because that product sheet comes from an Indonesian retailer...
  10. I wonder if there will be some kind special functionality or some way for it to seamlessly interact with Sharp Aquos (and perhaps other brands) smart TVs. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  11. Yeah, I think Tim posted details or a schematic of the device a little while ago.
  12. I'd tend to agree, but if they market the hell out of it and assuming that it'll be a Sprint exclusive there's always a certain segment of folks that want something not everybody and their mother has (e.g. iPhone and Galaxy phones).
  13. It was more than that actually. http://dealbook.nytimes.com/2011/12/20/att-and-t-mobile-whats-2-billion-among-friends/?_php=true&_type=blogs&_r=0
  14. No sir, whatever software update you received didn't enable 700A block capability because the hardware isn't Band 12 capable, it's Band 17. I even pointed you to the FCC documentation to show you this and there have been no permissive changes to that device either. The only way that you're getting 700MHz LTE with that particular device is if you're using an AT&T SIM, not a T-Mobile SIM. Everybody has been trying to explain this to you but hey, if you don't wish to believe us or the FCC so be it. Come to think of it, a simple screen shot from Signal Check Pro might be able to settle this issue.
  15. That's not T-Mobile's 700MHz LTE band; It's AT&T's. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  16. It has Band 17, not Band 12 so if you were getting 700MHz LTE it was from AT&T, not T-Mobile. https://apps.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/ViewExhibitReport.cfm?mode=Exhibits&RequestTimeout=500&calledFromFrame=N&application_id=417689&fcc_id=A3LSGHT399 Check the Part 22 24 27 LTE Test Report.
  17. What device did this software update add 700MHz capability to?
  18. Done. I may have been #76 Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  19. I doubt that we'll see Band 4 & 12 in the Note series until the Note 5. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
  20. They're planning on adding bands 12 & 4 to handsets anyway though. If SoftBank is in it to win it while DT still wants out and doesn't want to invest a lot then the natural extension to this tactic is to buy all of the reserved 600MHz spectrum. If there's 30 MHz available, buy all of it and deploy 15x15. If there's 40 MHz, then buy all of that and deploy 20x20. That would have the benefit of allowing Sprint to strengthen their low band position while simultaneously depriving a competitor of a badly needed resource. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
