  1. That would be sound advice for any phone, regardless of ones personal experience.
  2. I only see this happening if the One sales are less than stellar(which may indicate some other issues). Otherwise, having another top tier HTC device will just cannibalize sales from the other.
  3. Your logic is sound. I'm still going to be mad though
  4. Oh crap! I have about four old phone laying around here. Wonder if I can do two at a time
  5. I'm sure sentimentality has something to do with it. I think as a practical matter having a "brand exclusive" was as good for Sprint as the Droid branding was for Verizon. I am fine with the EVO going away as long as HTC does not do a One series exclusive for Verizon.
  6. Who actually owns the EVO name? If its Sprint then I can see them approaching another manufacturer about picking it up. If it is owned by HTC then I agree that its dead as far as top tier phones are concerned.
  7. Just my personal observation. BTW, I don't own any Apple products and likely I never will.
  8. Apple will be fine for the foreseeable future. They have a very dedicated customer base and they probably make more on each device sold than anybody else, mostly because they limit how many different devices they sell. They clearly do not have a need to be the sales leader. If I was Apple I would try to stem the inroads that Google is making into educational facilities. I would also start to bundle my products. Maybe a special sale price on a laptop and desktop combo. The beauty of Apple is its ecosystem and once you get a consumer to fork over the money they are more likely to buy other Apple products.
  9. I thought the dots were more a part of android than any specific manufactures design language. I only say that because i have them on all three generations of evos that we have had. A physical home key may be a better case but samsung and apple are far from the only ones to have used physical home keys.
  10. From what I saw the stuff that Apples accused samsung of copying was very generic or things that they should not have a right to. Like the symbol for a telephone. The thing is universal. If anybody has a claim to that it should be a baby bell in my opinion.
  11. IIRC Google has been pushing the manufacturers to get rid of all hardware buttons.
  12. I have no issues. Although I have to agree that it seems a bit harder to pull in a LTE signal since the update.

    Married to it

Awesome husbands often have awesome wives. You two have a Happy Valentines Day.
  14. Thats good to know. I have yet to pick it up downtown.
  15. Two major mergers in seven years. Interesting.
  16. You took capital all the way down to Fayetville rd/401?
  17. Expect things to be in a state of flux for a bit. Also, any LTE that we get right now is not official. Whats the cross st on the Ray road tower?
  18. I noticed that LTE was off in North Raleigh this morning and I was getting alot of 1x in the Rex area last night.
  19. Mine was worse. Nothing would make it work. I had to call the tech desk to get it working again. You might want to run your sprint diagnostic and see what that result is.
  20. This is why the idea is atleast plausible. They already down sized the iPad(mini) to try to cash in on the smaller than 10 tablet market. The only two things that might stop Apple from coming out with two phones in one year is the possible cross shopping of two new iPhone models and the number of iPhone models currently in production. Assuming they drop the iPhone 4 that would leave the 4s,5,5s and 6. Thats four phones with three diffrent designs. Unheard of for Apple and it may decrease their profit margin on each device sold.
  21. You beat me to it AJ. The mountains and relatively thin population density also add to the problems in building out the network. As a comparison, the land line service has changed hands twice in the last few years. Guess who owns the land line service now(in most parts of NE PA). Hint: used to be a baby bell.
  22. I don't know if its fair to compare a phablet to a phone. I have heard that the Note 2 is even significantly better than the S3 when it comes to LTE reception.
  23. Download sensorley to your phone. LTE has been creeping into Garner. US 70 from raleigh down to about timber drive and 401 down to old stage. There is also LTE in the 401 ten ten road area. If you read the site rules and browse through some of the htreads then you will get a better idea on whats going on and why it is "taking" so long.
