Best buy ran a promotion around the beginning of the year. All you had to do was signup and you would get $50 off a cell phone purchase at any point during the year.

I had this problem arise right after two major updates. Wiping the phone offered temporary relief. My issue was resolved after the last jelly bean update.

I'll wait to Best Buy opens up its pre ordering. Mostly because I will get $50 off!

What LTE devices out there would you like to see on Sprint next year?
centermedic replied to xdfgf's topic in Misc.
The way Chromebooks have been flying off the shelfs it would be cool to see a sprint Variant with competitive data rates. -
FYI. Most government employees and Credit union members are eligible for discounts with Sprint. IIRC somebody had posted a list of discounts.
-
I agree to an extent. I think Sprint is putting themselves in a good position to slide into the number 2 slot in 5-7 years. Of course a lot can change but you gotta be in it to win it and I think they are positioning themselves very nicely.

The idea that Sprint promised wimax to specific areas has been rebutted numerous times on this and other forums. Also, everytime you pay your monthly bill you are depending on Sprint so perhaps you should not ask anybody else that question until you are no longer a customer.

Interesting. What promise did Sprint break?

You mean on a cell phone camera. Many point and shoot type cameras have optical and digital zoom. Anyhow, the point is how useful is the camera going to be if you get too much distortion on a zoomed in picture?
-
This just popped in my head. Don't know if its viable or not. Your municipality could become a MVNO. At that point I don't see why a cell phone provider would not put a tower in your jurisdiction or allow you to finance the same.

I agree. Unfortunately for me, it is not a big deal for my wife because she will just use my phone to take pictures like she does now
-
This phone will still be my wifes upgrade because she likes how it looks(don't get me started). But Im, a little leary on the camera. Not sure if the trade off on low light pictures versus quality on the zoom is worth it. One of the great things about cell phone cameras is they tend to take awesome fireworks pictures because they have a slow shutter speed. I wonder if you would have to change the seeings on the one to get similar performance.

While I agree there is little reason for T-Mobile to do a rural build out there is no reason why you can't stay in contact as you travel city to city. T-mobile should at least endeavor to cover the major interstates.

Network Vision/LTE - Raleigh/Durham Market (includes Fayetteville)

Nice. I have been waiting for the gorman st area to light up. There is a tower at Blue Ridge and Macon Pond across the street from Rex Hospital. That has always been a stellar wimax performer. You might want to check that one out. -
I think what gets overlooked is that you can change the name but people will still keep up with who you were. You don't have to be a tech head. Friends, family and other companies will strive to keep you informed.

Actually, they are working just over the Raleigh border in some areas. Garner is seeing significant coverage and LTE is being sen on the 64 bypass all the way out to Smithfield road and LTE has been seen on rock quarry all the way down to Auburn Knightdale road. At this point the only thing probably stopping an announcement is getting all the sites accepted. -
Almost forgot. The 911 center needs to be able to call a host of other agencies. ie: salvation army, power company, gas company, airports etc etc.
-
Yes they do. They have to be able to dial manually as a back up to the computer system assuming that they are using a computer system capable of dialing a number.
