  1. I haven't seen much backup power sources at the sites I've visited. I saw a propane tank at one, that's it.
  2. Just pulled a nice 13.50 down and 3.76 up a Clear Voyager. Believe it or not, better then the 9.34 down and 1.47 up on my current Sprint LTE connection. Not bad. Ping is a bit high though- 80ms compared to 42 on LTE.
  3. Watching him jump up and down after that interception- PRICELESS.
  4. Redskins in the playoffs! LTE must be coming... That was a great game. Would hate to be Domo and have to live with that interception for almost a year.
  5. The round table format ate hairy spiders when drunk. Its towers became bloated after swallowing a mouthful of baby formula. The baby ate his poisoned barbeque chicken ribs without A1 steak sauce. Fix the chair leg before somebody trips and breaks their sister's glass. It peed shards of LTE droppings from bubbly fermented apples. Doctors gouge the helpless when options appear dangerously silly for perpendicular slicing. Around 2pm there was another explosive diarrhea attack that drove Dan to SMS SoftBank, which viciously countered MetroPCS;s audacity to compete. Meanwhile, Mexicans discovered sparkly water of Rio which tasted like rainbows. LightSquared, however, beamed sparkly clusters of spectrum at GPS, causing multitudes of bananas being paranoid about world domination. This exacerbated an enormous flock of pelicans into your mother's house. Then seagulls confronted Darla with weapons manufactured in Korea that annihilated Kim Kardashian. She fell backwards after drinking highly intoxicating tequila shots. Uncoincidentally, she tripped over and fell on her face, then vomited major chunks of beef jerky ***Remember- One word at a time!***
  6. My new Airport Express's WiFi password actually has the word "S4GRU" in it...
  7. Wowzers. I've never even seen over 4Mbps on my Clear hotspot.
  8. My dad recently passed 90 days of service. He called CS and was transferred to the International Department, who instantly gave him the International Unlock upon his request. He told me this morning, and I asked him if he's synced the phone yet. He said no. So I synced it for him, and sure enough, the majestic "Congratulations, your phone has been unlocked!" appeared in iTunes. I stuck an inactive AT&T micro-SIM inside, and got the Invalid SIM message. It said to contact the carrier. I wish the FCC would do something about this phone locking business. It decreases the resale value of the phone and creates fragmentation in the market. Example of this: A family friend of ours got a Verizon iPhone 4. They are with Sprint, and the phone's intended user had recently dropped her Rumor Touch in the toilet. They actually had no idea it was Verizon. When they received the phone, Sprint refused to activate it. Now they have a $250 paperweight. She uses it on WiFi though.
  9. I used this back in the day when I had a GoPhone SIM with unlimited data. Actually, that's one of the best plans I've ever had. Just data, for $20 a month.
  10. Browsing S4GRU instead of working, the occasional Netflix show, Pandora in the car. Oh, the joy of unlimited.
  11. Dat upload. Highest I've ever seen is 6Mbpsnor so.
  12. iPhone 5 shows signal strength of LTE or highest data connection available.
  13. Posixninja has been hinting at a jailbreak release tomorrow all day on Twitter. Maybe it's just my wishful thinking.
  14. Oh, it does kill the battery looking for native service. Believe me. The native signal at one of my good friend's house is very weak, and the iPhone will usually roam. But I once spent the entire day there helping him with some home improvement, and my phone was flat out dead by 3PM.
  15. There are still a lot of Comcast-only areas, where VZ fiber doesn't reach, but the prices are still good. We wouldn't be able to afford smartphones with a cable bill over $90...
  16. Copper can be just as good as fiber sometimes. Especially when their is a competitor. I was paying $100 or so to FiOS, when I realized Comcast had much better deals- 50Mbps for $30, 30Mbps for $20, 300 channels for $30 (no HD). So I now pay $50 for TV and 30Mbps Internet. I had 15/5 from VZ and 150 channels before.
  17. Yeah, my parents got the Samsung Replenish as their first Sprint phones. Someone told them that it was a horrible phone, so they were planning to return it. They went onto the Sprint site and it said they were eligible for an upgrade. They got 4Ses. The Samsungs are sitting in a box somewhere.
  18. Do you get fiber service at home? If so, that would be awesome.
  19. Yeah, they've been doing it since last December. Now, I wonder, if there is any way to bypass that.
  20. I agree with that completely, but don't believe it's worth losing the simplicity and reliability of iOS. That's what I want for Christmas- a simple and reliable mobile OS that allows you to do whatever you want. Oh and that iPad.
  21. I'm on day 63 of Sprint service. 27 more to go!
  22. You enjoy Android, I enjoy Apple. Simple.
  23. Wait, so you can put a Sprint LTE sim in that device, and it will function if the SIM is provisioned? Nice.
