  1. Guys I need help. My galaxy s5 got condensation and its turning on but screen stays black. Occasional flash of random dots on screen. Buttons all work as far as I can tell. Is there something I can get to hook it up to an external display?
  2. 23306 Anacortes, we 23300 Oak Harbor, we Also noticed that most antennas up here are mounted maybe 20 feet above the ground on power poles. I just found that interesting.
  3. 23319 Port townsend, wa Prolly more than 1 here but this is the only 1 I see so far.
  4. I have noticed one thing about Sprint LTE vice WIMAX service. When I do speed test I get much more consistant speeds than I did on WIMAX. WIMAX always used to jump around quite a bit during speed tests on my phone, whereas sprint LTE generally doesnt it generally stays the same throughout the testing maybe getting a little bit better towards the end. But that is my experience.
  5. I have topped out at 2.41 Mbps down and about 1.39 up on 3g at my home about a month or so ago. Thats the fastest I have seen for 3G. LTE on the other hand I topped out this last weekend at about 71 down and 14.74 up.
  6. Forget that, they already dont know what 1x is. lol. Let alone 3G. Many already dont know what 3G actually is if they live in a city where LTE is everywhere. Which I know on sprint thats not totally true yet but on some carriers it is, and some teenyboppers as you said have never seen or heard of 1x or 3G sadly...
  7. Perhaps try lte only mode if you keep dropping t 3g?
  8. I cant wait until Google Fiber hits houses in more locations throughout the country One can only dream though right?
  9. Oh cool. yeah i figured. Wonder if anyone actually has gotten that 150 Mbps speed yet. that would be pretty sweet!
  10. Hey guys so this is a bit off topic from Sprint LTE, but i am just curious about something. I live near Seattle, so therefore I am relatively close to the Canada border. So i got curious about what type of phone services are offered in Canada. So i found a company called Bell Mobility who offer 4G LTE all over Canada. The thing I am wondering about is the part where they say they can achieve up to 150 Mbps. How is it possible for them to do that? What type of LTE are they using? From looking at their coverage map its available in very limited areas like Toronto and a few others. Do they use Carrier Aggregation? Is that how they can achieve 150Mbps? Here is the link to their site if you all want to check it out. I just through it was interesting http://network.bell.ca/en/coverage
  11. In Washington well West Washington at least the GCI endings are 00, 01, & 02. I am not sure about Sprint B41, but for Clear B41 it seems to be the same way up here. I have not had B26 detected on my phone here in Washington yet so I have yet to see if its going to be different. You haven't seen any Clear B41's yet?
  12. possibly consider becoming a sponsor? and then you get access to quite a few different things, including the maps
  13. Hey so I have one question here. So just trying to figure out which site is which using my SCP logs. So with GCI what do the last 2 digits of the GCI mean? 00, 01, & 02? which one means I'm north of the tower, south of the tower, west of the tower and east of the tower?
  14. Cool thanks. I think that would be better anyway. So just wondering i have been looking through my logs and i get a bunch of null readings, and for location i get a 0 reading. is that something to do with the GPS? Also my gps "Last device accuracy" is pretty high on many of the readings on my note 3. what causes that? I have the setting to get most accurate location. But I am seeing location accuracy of 1400 1500 2290 3388. So that is not very accurate right? What are first time and last time offsets? Do they mean anything? Also are there any plans for an LTE tower location similar to that of the 1x location? Thanks again. Kevin
  15. Here are some more for you I know Its a ton and there are some that have doubles for the city. But If you would like clarification as to where each one was at please let me know since I cannot post specific locations of sites in here. I did make a word document on my computer with the location and such that goes with each one. As several towns/cities I have been to have several different TAC's for both sprint sites and Clear sites. So without further ado here it is: 23330 Olalla, WA Purdy, WA Gig Harbor, WA 23321 Tacoma, WA Federal Way, WA Auburn, WA Kent, WA 23310 Tacoma, WA 23326 Tacoma, WA Lakewood, WA 23320 Fife, WA 23324 Des Moines, WA 23327 Parkland, WA 23309 Puyallup, WA South Hill, WA 23297 Silverdale, WA 23328 Shelton, WA Grapeview, WA 23301 Olympia, WA Lacey, WA Tumwater, WA CLEAR B4 BROADCASTING SITES 16648 Tacoma, WA 16647 Tacoma, WA 16684 Tacoma, WA Lakewood, WA 16683 Federal Way, WA 16657 Kent, WA 16653 Kent, WA 16682 Tacoma, WA
  16. So I have a suggestion when and if you get a chance to add to SignalCheck, not sure exactly if its already built in and i just didnt notice it, but my suggestion is Can you please add a feature that logs your signal Dbm value to the logs for when we export we are better able to for sure identify a nearby tower. By the way great job on this app. Cant wait to see the next version! Have a great day. Kevin
  17. i usually get around 100 on LTE while using sprint. But it really doesnt make much a difference. But I have been averaging about 150 to 210ms on Clear sites.
  18. I have a ton more tac findings for you. I just need to export my data.
  19. Just so you know I just added my posting with all TAC's from the Kitsap area. I still have 1 tower that I have not visited, but I'm 99% sure its the same TAC range. I also created a map. But I did not share it because it contains Site ID's.
  20. Ok Guys here is what I have: BainBridge Island, WA - 23297 Silverdale, WA - 23297 Bremerton, WA - 23330 East Bremerton, WA - 23297 Brownsville, WA - 23297 Port Orchard, WA - 23330 Gorst, WA - 23328 Purdy, WA - 23330 Vashon, WA - 23321 Gig Harbor, WA (North End) - 23330 Gig Harbor, WA (South End) - 23310 Tacoma, WA (Near the Bridge and north end) - 23310 Also Unknown (But If i had to guess this is seattle because I was on BainBridge Island, WA when I picked this up) - 23323 Also Unknown (I am very sure this is a tower in Tacoma, WA but not 100% sure where at, picked up signal near the Red Robin) - 23326 Also Unknown (Possibly Tacoma, WA) - 23327 23309 (Possibly Olympia, Tacoma, or Centralia, WA) 23320 (Possibly Olympia, Tacoma, or Centralia, WA) 23301 (Possibly Olympia, Tacoma, or Centralia, WA) There are probably several others TAC's fro Tacoma, WA But I was unable to roam around the city long enough to obtain them... I have a map I made as well with the TAC's and their appropriate Tower, but I am not posting a link as this thread is viewable by everyone and I am not going to share that info as I dont think I can. But if you are a sponsor/premier sponsor let me know I'll send you a link in email. Kevin
  21. I have experienced very very slow data on 1xRTT, but its definitely expected. or at least I expected that.
  22. Well for different carriers it means different things. For Sprint unlimited is unlimited -whether its 3G or LTE. The only limitation to this is roaming data. Which they technically only give you a few hundred MB's a month of roaming data. But most of us dont really roam very much. Native sprint coverage gets better and better daily. With Verizon unlimited used to mean no limits to the amount of data you got to use and there are still a few people who actually are on that plan still. Verizon no longer offers an unlimited data plan to their customers. T-Mobile has an unlimited plan but it costs you. AT&T also no longer offers unlimited data. There are carriers here that are prepaid that offer so many MB's or GB's of 4G/LTE data and then you are booted to 3G and you get unlimited 3G data. So the only truely unlimited "data" cell provider here in the US is Sprint. But as with every good thing, plans change. Sprint still offers their unlimited plans, but they have started doing limited data plans at fractions of the cost of unlimited plans. But I will stick with my unlimited plan I currently am on and use daily. Hope that helps. If anyone else would like to please chime in on this. Kevin
  23. I use Sprint like alot in here. my plan is the unlimited my way plan i beleive its called. perhaps im wrong on the name. I have 2 lines on there. Both have unlimited texting/data and 1500 minutes. I normally only use about 500 of those minutes, but i do use alot of data though so im glad that sprint is still unlimited. Total costs a month for my 2 lines after government discount is about $142.
  24. I found something to top that. I found your former site? prior to become just s4gru.com when you had another name in there. lol.
