  1. Same thing still happening, but as of right now my Galaxy S5 is stuck on EVDO Rev. A. Been like that for a little while now. I have tried resetting network settings and everything. But still on EVDO. Perhaps Im just right in that little magic spot exactly in the center of all 3 towers. lol. maybe thats why they are jumping around so much. But who knows.
  2. So i know this is an old thread but I was researching something, and ran across it. So just wondering, once LTE is completely live or up and running on a tower, I should not revert back to EVDO Rev A. at all correct? Right now Ive been forced back to EVDO Rev A. from eHRPD which has happened before, but not sure 100% as to why. Perhaps this is a sign that the "sprint gods" may be shinning down on my tower and transitioning to LTE finally. lol. I have tried resetting my network connection several times and I just end up on EV-DO Rev A. every time. I was out and about today and my phone worked fine mostly was on LTE all day and some eHRPD. So I guess my question is why do the towers still broadcast EV-DO once they have been upgraded to LTE? Is it for those of us who do not have LTE capable phones? or roaming partners who do not carry LTE service? or other reasons? I mean it seems just about as fast as the eHRPD signal I had this morning. I am just curious thats all. Thanks guys. Kevin
  3. so whats the purpose of each of the 4 boxes on the back of each antenna? is it just an ericsson antenna specific thing?
  4. It could also be the fact that you are not connected to an LTE network, therefore making the lte engineering screen null and void until you reconnect to one. I have found leaving LTE turned on but not being in an LTE area the phone will still constantly search for an LTE signal and keep swapping between bands on the phone to find one. So that could explain what you are seeing on your engineering screen here. Have you tried going into LTE only mode by dialing ##3282# (not usre if its the same for your phone, thats what I do on the Galaxy S5) and enter in your MSL. note that if you are in LTE only mode you will not get any calls and I think texts to...
  5. gotta keep in mind it may weight it down a bit tho... So you gotta evenly distribute the weight. But my question is what makes this one any better than previous drones?
  6. probably target market of ages 10 to 25 +10 years - 2 years. They are just trying to pull in more families, perhaps branch out to the more tech hungry consumers. Perhaps who want to use these as security cams/potential fun. I don't know. I would love to see their marketing plan as well. Bet its pretty sweet I wonder if they have a cell antenna built in or if its just wifi. also wonder if its going to be another service cost if so. or free to current customers to use, just have to pay for the device.
  7. Nope not next to a business. I have checked the towers near me, they all have the NV equipment, but none of them are live broadcasting, still 3G only. I have tried my wife's phone and its a galaxy note 3, mine is a galaxy s5. Same issue on both phones. More so on the Galaxy S5, but none the less same issue... I would understand if it were happening while I was driving around, but with the phones being stationary and it happening. I just find that a bit weird...
  8. Also of another note here. My IP address is changing nearly every time my data connection is lost, which is quite often. I understand that this should happen, but I should not be losing eHRPD ever few minutes should I?
  9. Thank you whomever moved my post to this area. I appreciate it.
  10. Nope its not connecting to an AirRave. I dialed *99 as the instruction manual online i found says for this: "By dialing *99 on your wireless phone, an audio message will confirm if you are in range of the AIRAVE. Also, you will hear three short beeps on your wireless phone before making and receiving calls." It does not do that on either of my 2 phones that are having the problem. Any other suggestions? Also I am way to far from any of my neighbors for that to happen as well...
  11. Greetings everyone. Just curious, I have been having issues recently while on the 3G network here Washington while my phone is sitting still in my home. I constantly am losing Data (eHRPD) per the Signal Check Pro app. Its happening quite a few times every hour. This slows down my data quite a bit, and by slows down, I am meaning ill be using a webpage and it will be fine, then all the sudden it takes forever to load and then when eHRPD comes back it loads fine. Has anyone else had this issue? If so does anyone know a solution? Also note my phone dropped back to EVDO Rev A. earlier today and It took quite a bit to get it back on eHRPD. I was also having the same issue when connected to that as well. Thanks for your input.
  12. Greetings everyone. So hey i am just curious about a few things. 1. How do companies like Sprint, Verizon, etc test new equipment like these band 41 antennas and RRU's before they go up on the tower? I am not a very technical person when it comes to this type of stuff. I am just curious as to how they go about it. Also is it Sprint or is it Samsung/Ericsson/Altel Lucent who do the testing. 2. Do they use special devices when they are testing the equipment? or how do they go about doing that? Again this is just out of curiosity and I know that its kind of off topic. I have just had a hard time finding answers to these questions so I figured i would post here. Thanks in advance for the info. Have a great evening everyone! Kevin
  13. any word on if this service will be tiered as far as data usage goes?
  14. Sprint network vision upgrades - the only network truely capable of clearing out a whole football field.
  15. I know that I have experienced HD Voice calls in Tacoma, Washington. Was very crystal clear and sounded great! Best call ive had on the sprint network. It was on my S5.
  16. yeah after looking at other pictures i notice the same so i assume that 1 cable is the only one needed to goto those antennas.
  17. so my question i suppose (not being a real technical person in this subject) is will this result in faster up/down speeds or just better penetration into areas where current signal doesnt reach so well.
  18. Zooming in on the pictures on my computer once i got them from my phone it seems I see 1 wire going into the back of the antennas? is that how they actually are? the original 1900 LTE antennas?
  19. Sorry I got mixed up. Was on mobile and didnt noticed that i was posting in a non member area... It wont happen again. But to me looking up i didnt see any wires coming from many of the antennas. And the site ID did not come from S4GRU. I got it at the site. It was on a sight behind the fence at the site. Thanks for the info. Is it hard for them to hide the cables behind the equipment? I mean to my eyes it looked as if hardly any of those antennas had any wires coming off of them. I wish i had my binoculars when i was out yesterday.
  20. So I have a question. I am a non tower technical person. So I finally got really close to a tower in shelton, wa and looking closely hardly any of the a antennas are connected. I understand some of the equipment on this tower is verizon as the site has verizon branding on the fence but also has sprint as well ------- is the tower. Im just curious as what type antenna each one is that I see in the picture. I am not very goot at identification. All the longer ones look the same to me... I see a smaller antenna hooked up but thats about it. Thanks in advance.
  21. By the way I apologize for messing up this topic. But as far as their plans go I think that the 50 bucks a month individual unlimited seems like a good idea in theory. I would however like to see the terms and conditions as im sure they have changed with this new type of plan. And of course as mentioned before someone said something about overage charges and questioned if they existed. Any update on that one? And again im sorry for sending this topic off topic earlier.
