I thought this was one of Sprints better commercials. Plus, it targets the demographic it is currently going after. I do miss their commercial comparing the 4 networks though and saying that they have unlimited and won't throttle.

I agree that Hesse probably is good for Sprint but... It shouldn't have taken softbank to fire bad leaders. Also, as a leader, you are fully accountable for the work produced by your employees. The two people who got fired, just lost site of what they were supposed to be doing and how to go about it. The new commercials in the past couple of weeks are infinitely better than the previous ones. -
To save everyone the trouble of clicking the link... The update isn't out yet and this is just Sprint saying "it's coming soon". Granted, hopefully "it's on its way" means that it is coming sooner than later.

Glad to hear that San Diego is giving Sprint a chance and that their deadline should force Sprint to do more sooner for that County (Yay for me). Kinda weird that they would ask for monthly status reports. That would suck if Sprint would have to develop status reports for all counties across the US. I hope they can just use their standard report and apply it to San Diego.

Man, you have a lot more faith in Sprint techs than I do. I hope they know what they are talking about! Where are roughly at so we can see if it is plausible?

Makes sense though as they would prefer people be on their work horse band and only kick people to 800 when they need it (E.g. : indoors).

Newbie question: my understanding is that adding a second LTE carrier on B25 means using another block of spectrum (E.g.: 5mhz). What I don't understand is how this affects the equipment installed on a tower. Would this require additional antennas be installed or is this simply a software configuration of those currently existing antennas?

With more removes than adds does that mean that Sprint is turning off the ability to roam to a bunch of places?

I thought that this year would be the year of the software but Samsung feel flat in this regard. I wanted Samsung to compete with active notifications, knock on, quick access to camera, Google voice listening, etc. Oh well... Time for Samsung to milk the cow.

Bezel be gone... Nope... It's even more prevalent on this phone than the GS4. Too bad I love the LG designs but don't quite like their UI (been getting spoiled after owning the Nexus 5). I'm also a little sad that to get water resistant capability they had to put a cover over the charging port. Luckily I have a few wireless chargers but I will need to get one for the car too since I don't have fingernails to pull open the cover.

Regardless, the Nexus 5 is my favorite phone I ever owned. It is very smart, good looking, fast, has quick updates, no bloatware, awesome cases, cheap, a ton of network compatibility, wireless charging, and more.

Mine currently does too... Especially with the snapdragon app and ART. I'm just hoping the Spark update doesn't kill that as some people in the G2 forum would have you believe.

When I bought the nexus 5 I figured it would get a quick update due to it being a Nexus. Oh well... I still think it is a battery issue. If they can't get that under control, I'm not sure if they'll release it. A phone that works for only 6 hours is a paper weight.

I believe a market launch can occur even if a market is not quite 50 complete. At around 50 percent complete there will be an inconsistent and likely poor experience and even areas not covered much at all.

After buying a Nexus 5, I can't imagine buying ANY phone that doesn't have all the bands I need for at least Sprint, T-Mobile, and AT&T. If the customers are going to be paying for the phone, I want the freedom to bounce around to different carriers or supplement them from time to time. Case in point... My wife and I are on Sprint. She is traveling overseas for 2 months so I put her phone in seasonal standby and now she is on T-mobile. Btw... I thought the M8 was just getting publicity for all the poor design choices they made that make it worse than the current generation phone (too much useless area/bezels... They should just make the HTC logo their home key)

May I recommend Textra? I'm not a fan of the boring hangouts UI.

I wonder if the battery life issue would occur if you weren't in a Spark area? That would such for those users... The sacrifice of many for the joy/good of the extremely few.

I would venture to guess that the battery life issue is probably why they are taking their time on the nexus 5 because, unlike the g2, nexus doesn't have battery life to "spare".

It's bezel time! Ugh... I hate HTC. Their last phone had a useless HTC logo at least surrounded by useful buttons. Now we get more bezel for no added benefit! On-screen buttons were supposed to make the screen bigger, not smaller.

WiMax is 2600 Nextel was 800 Originally, spark seemed to include 800 and 2600. More recently, it has seemed that Spark stands for the TD-LTE (2600). Although the IBEZ zone seems to stop at San Clemente, the FCC has approved an extension for the public emergency folks to get off the 800 band. Until that happens (anyone's guess), we will not get 800 (LTE or CDMA). Note: the sprint coverage maps refer to spark as 2600.

I did and neither my area nor the other poster's area have Spark planned for it (yet). Just makes me sad that we can be potentially lied to. I'm keeping up hope until I can prove otherwise.

I have the same question for OC. I live in Aliso Viejo and they have my area listed as turbo spark but I never even had WiMax anywhere near me. I am waiting for the nexus update to confirm.
