  1. Has anyone successfully got their phone and/or camera replaced? https://www.apple.com/support/iphone6plus-isightcamera/ My 6+ is on the list, but I can't say that I have noticed anything, yet. How obvious or apparent is the blurriness?
  2. 55.4 GB is the capacity shown in the settings. Its showing I have 13.2 GB left, but no idea where it went since I'm not storing any media, hmm I should probably investigate that.
  3. 5s doesn't support b41 anyway, so unless they convert the clear tower to full b25/b26/b41 build, he is going to be SOL regardless.
  4. I have no doubt, that as part of this whole leasing and re-selling (or re-leasing) process, there will be some kind of refurbishing system established (with or without apples help/approval), where brightstar or whatever the name is, will employ low cost labor to factory reset iphone firmwares/storage along with buffing out and/or replacing minorly damaged screens/etc and re-packaging them into either sprint branded or co-branded sprint/iphone refurb/used boxes with new cable/power bricks and sold retail along side or even in place of, new units. I have to admit, it is a beautiful plan, the first adopters can get their new toys whenever they come out, for generally less than the full cost in exchange for an infinite payment plan, while the secondary adopters/old/poor/less technical people can pick up used devices in ostensibly good condition that are still supported by apple IOS updates, for cheaper than shelling out for the latest and greatest. Sprint also wins by putting this into a separate company which absorbs all the risks, and the aforementioned additional subscriber adds by providing used/older high end iphones to people who would not normally have been a sprint and/or iphone customer. Thus filling the gap left by apple, by not providing a low end phone option (other then the iphone 5c). Whether apple will actively support or fight this concept is open to debate, but I think as long as it is done in a manner which doesn't blemish apple's reputation, they will let it slide or even outright support it.
  5. Marcelo is going to start re-selling all these used iphones to people who can't/don't want to pay full prices for new iphones and low income groups to drive adding line counts.
  6. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it.
  7. I dont like the fingerprint scanner on the back, this means you must be holding the phone to use your fingerprint, versus it laying on your desk or in your car phone holder. However on the back scanner is better than none!
  8. Of course, I am a consumer, who wants to pay more and more and more for the same service? if you want to pay more, more power to you, I suggest you double your payment to sprint and tell them to keep it as a tip. I'm on an everything data plan (subsidized), and the $50 iphone specific plan (non-subsidized). on per monthly basis, the ED $70 plan equals the $50+$20 (for 6/16 I believe, I actually pay $35 for 6+/64). If all non-subsidized plans were on an equal basis (or better) deal than the contract plans, I likely wouldn't be commenting. However as you well realize, most of the non-contract plans are simply price hikes in disguise. Ergo, the carrier benefits, not the consumer. Even if the prices of devices plummet, the price of the service is going up. Competition at work? I do agree that the separation of service versus device puts pressure on device prices, however see for example the price of all technology (tablets/computers/tvs/microwaves/etc etc) in the last several decades has continued to decrease as time goes on, irrespective of contracts or lack thereof.
  9. wasn't there already posted about a stock buyback on the results call?
  10. I'm waiting for the perfect LTE hotspot; LTE only all domestic and whatever the most common international lte bands are, no 2g/3g support. dual sim support would be bonus.
  11. Not sure what this is supposed to be countering, there have always been cheaper phones available for consumers to purchase. If you are suggesting 'quality' phones at cheaper prices is some kind of counter point, I submit that would have happened regardless of subsidization or lack thereof. My point still stands, unless a user extends their phones life over 2+ years, current non-subsidized plans are at best minimally more expensive, to at worst a lot more expensive.
  12. I stated long ago, that the only winners in the race to no-contract/unsubsidized services, are the carriers. Well, and anyone who keeps their phone for 3+ years may have a small benefit, but who wants to do that these days?
  13. if you are split between sectors/axis and/or have outside factors affecting the signal, that would also explain lack of b41. Also, b41 not being at the tower you think it is, could also be a factor.
  14. Hi. Please put quotes around your path to executable when there are spaces. "C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe" /setPrefInt carrier-testing
  15. I would guess it comes down what (other) bands that USCC phones have been covering as to who the roaming partner may be.
  16. stock has no real value while you're holding it, unless it pays dividends, which sprint does not. Stock value only matters, when you buy it, and when you sell it. So if you bought 10k shares @ $2 it cost you $20k (plus any trade fees). If sprint ever rises to $20, and you sell them for $20, then your take out is 200k (minus the original 20k and any trade fees giving ~$180k profit over your original 20k). Of course, it could take a long time (or never) for sprint to reach $20. In the short term, it could drop down to $1 or less, and then the value of your stock would likewise deflate. Oh also you pay taxes on your profit, how much depends on how long you've held the stock, long term vs short term capital gains.
  17. Do you have your bluetooth plugged in all the way ?
  18. I was hoping they would, but seems like they are just dropping all clear customers without any type of effort re-capturing or converting them to either existing or special sprint plans/equipment. Seems like a bad move to not even try to keep some type of revenue coming in.
  19. Now I am really confused. If you had simply stated other options, I wouldn't be questioning anything. However, you state there are great options without providing examples or qualification. I am interested in seeing what you consider 'great' metered options. And if you think I am being snarky or negative, I am not. I am sincerely interested in seeing some specific examples of great (metered or not) plans, as I am sure many others who are losing clear service soon will be interested in as well.
  20. check the 2nd page, there is a link to an explanation.
