  1. I think he means enable usb debugging. normally you have to enable dev options > usb debugging then approve the device when first connecting via adb. on a brand new phone, you can boot to bootloader without ever loading the OS, go to fastboot devices (the device won't be authorized), however as long as it shows the device is recognized, you can type fastboot oem unlock, then do it again and it will unlock without having to have previously booted to OS, unlocked dev settings, enabled usb debugging, authorized the device/computer via adb. before I learned this, I used to boot up the phone and *skip* the google login, enable dev, enable usb, authorize ADB, then reboot-bootloader, then finally fastboot oem unlock
  2. I believe you have to do the fastboot oem unlock *twice* and you can unlock the bootloader without having a bootable os. yes, boot into safe mode Reboot into safe mode (press power button, long press on "Power off") https://www.google.com/search?q=couldn%27t+load+widget&oq=couldn%27t+load+widget&aqs=chrome..69i57&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=122&ie=UTF-8 you have to tap the build# in the settings > about to enable the developer options. This has been the case for a couple years now, i think since android 4.0..
  3. just ship a phone to sarah palin and have her check it out
  4. That looks to me like either a hardware flash error, or some type of partitioning error (the system partition too small to hold the uploaded image).
  5. I flashed the image and so far it seems a little smoother visually, but not sure how much is placebo. Radio seems the same for me in my location, will see how it goes over time. baseband m8974a-2.0.50.2.25 for those who are curious kernel 3.4.0-g8a80a0e built 2/5/2015
  6. what is confusing to me is, they did not specify *how* your supposed to watch TWD on your sprint phone... is it via sprint tv (probably not), an AMC app or website, some other app/website, or simple piracy ?
  7. get a wireless charger puck or matt it makes it easy to keep your phone charged on your desk
  8. This may have been answered, but if so I missed it.. Is there any way to find out if the unlock has completed and/or how to check unlock status on the phone (iphone6+) itself? (without changing sims) any app or dialer code?
  9. this ? http://www.androidcentral.com/lg-g-pad-f-70-coming-sprint-customers-march-17-free-contract
  10. this must be one of the reasons for the nexus 6 shortages. http://gizmodo.com/why-are-these-massive-cargo-ships-trapped-at-29-u-s-po-1686637422
  11. I doubt it is just the mifi router blocking them, unless you have a static ip or some type of business account, its very likely that sprint is blocking/filter incoming connections across lte to prevent lte from being used as a server connection. wimax network is older and different and doesn't necessarily have the same filtering/network managemen rules. edit; I can ping my wimax hotspot public ip, but can not ping my netgear zing lte hotspot public ip.
  12. I would idle as many connections as possible, without causing congestion or performance issues, on lte 800, for the simple facts of better signal indicated on handsets and better battery life. With the network in control, whenever an idle lte800 connection becomes 'non-idle' it can be sent to the appropriate 1900/2600 carrier. This also keeps 1900 less loaded (cause there are still a crap-ton of lte1900 only handsets out there).
  13. well yea there is that option and almost ready to do that anyway cause they are pretty cheap, I was trying to get some feedback from n7 users that might have upgraded and whether it was worth it.
  14. nexus 6 32g in stock on play, no 64g at the moment
  15. Basically with easypay/installments, you are getting free financing through sprint (interest free and with no collateral). If you paid for a phone via credit card, you are paying sprint in full, while deferring payments to your credit card company (and potentially paying interest on it). So sprint has their money, they don't have to put any additional restrictions on it. As with your steak, as far as the restaurant (or grocery) is concerned, your bill is paid in full (via credit card), it doesn't matter to them if you are late on your CC payment, they have already been paid. Of course if you did a charge-back on your meal, then the restaurant would be unhappy and either write it off and put you on the no-serve list, or possibly take you to small claims court (if you did a large enough charge back). The same with sprint, if you decide to switch back to a different provider, you either have to pay off your sprint phones or deal with the consequences of not doing so.
  16. Ugh, well my n7/2013 has developed a crack and now I am looking for an appropriate upgrade, ideally same/similar form factor with newer tech. Initial research points to asus memo 7 me572c, or possibly the lg gpad 8.3 (ideally if I can find a gplay edition). Or go with a refurb/used n7. Who has 'upgraded' from the n7/2013, what did you get, and would you buy it again or look for something else? While I wouldn't mind a Nexus 9, its still too large and too expensive for what my usage. Oh, also must be available in at least 32 gig, cause I got a lot o junk in my trunk.

  18. yes you can still get 2 year contracts. go to sprint.com select a phone details, under payment options dropdown there is 2 year service agreement plan. its $85 month unlimited everything. or you can chose from the family data share plans. which is $140 for 20 gig and 1 device.
  19. I would necessarily say bad, however it does have ramifications that can affect the project.
  20. they could always deploy the 4th (or more) carrier without changing backhaul, thus allowing more users to absorb the existing backhaul bandwidth. Especially in areas with highly variable users (think ruralish stadiums etc, ie riverport.. high concentrations of people but only for limited amounts of time).
  21. wouldn't it require root and be on the system partition instead of the app/data partition?
  22. I always wondered why it wasn't designed as such from the git go. I mean really, they had several years of wimax usage to study before they started implementing b41 lte tdd. As you mentioned, wimax reception was less the issue compared to the device being able to transmit back to the tower.
