You have an s5, might want to update your profile it still shows an s3...and that says a lot, Samsung phones from s5 and up and known for having some of the worst RF performance from the higher tier phones. With a at least decent rf performing phone and 8t8tr sites being fully optimized it does match b25, and helps b25/b26 significantly. There are numerous markets where this is reported, KC/STL/Chicago/Indiana. Also lots of the capacity issues (aka speeds suck omg <5mbs) are people abusing the network, which Sprint is working on by implementing things like phasing out old plans with the unlimited for life guarantee.

If there really are two nexus devices this year, one an LG n5 successor and one Hawaei phablet to succeed the n6 I'll be interested to see how they handle naming them. If the 2015 'n5' is even 80% of the supposed specs then my household will be getting three of them this year.

Sprint needs additional low band spectrum for when they decided to go VOLTE. B26 as the sole 'voice' band to fall back on indoors won't be sufficient even if they density the network with key new towers. Sprint cannot repurpose all of evdo and 1X carriers as soon as they make the push to VOLTE and even when they can start the process it is going to take time. You're all thinking short term (>5 years), Masa and Marcelo are thinking long term (5-10). They want to be be the best wireless carrier, and they want to keep it that way.

Honestly I'm starting to think it's market/vendor dependent, because my m9 has only gone from good to great signal wise. It's basically matching my n5 now, although on the ultra fringe areas the n5 still holds on and transfers from fringe signal to fringe signal better.

Getting b41 on every site (or critical ones) satisfies the average consumer demand, shuts down what is probably the main complaint about Sprint and allows them to set up b26 on sites for distance instead of thinking about capacity in certain areas. In many places b26 is optimized, just not towards coverage. For instance you can take the KC or STL areas (I've noticed it more in the STL areas). Nine months ago there would be multiple places with massive amounts of traffic (I'm referring to volume of consumers) that had b26 but it would be 2-5 dbm stronger than b25. As soon as b41 and 8t8r popped online b26 started to gradually cover more completely, and now 9 months later there's a 10-15 dbm stronger signal on b26 over 25 in the exact same spots.

Digiblur actually did a break down of the changes in this prl (supposedly when asked). Here's the pastebin link if you'd like to cross reference your work. Changes: http://pastebin.com/HYWmK3iQ Full breakdown: http://pastebin.com/XxPv9AXH edit: Formatting, and adding the link for just changes. -
First day on 5.1 and I'm pleased!

Dropping the 600kbs *possible* throttle would be idiotic. However sprint could word it quite a bit better. Something more like: "At Sprint we are reserving the right to potentially limit the ability to stream video to <whatever resolution the throttle is 'rated'> on our new value oriented plans. This right is reserved to keep our newly renovated network in peak performance for all our users and should not be utilized in everyday scenarios."

What would you do if Sprint eliminated "unlimited" data? Poll thread.

If you have access to the account on att you can set limits. I have a friend who gets his data shut off when he hits 2.2gbs used. I'd imagine all the carriers have something similar. -
Prl/profile update should enable it. I'll browse through the engineering screens in a bit to see and update.

Incorrect, the reason SignalclCheck Pro is showing 1x800 is showing up at the same time is a well known and documented bug related to lollipop and how it sends information to Signalcheck Pro. This was a fully functional -126db b25 LTE signal. I was using it to browse reddit and stream Pandora at the time I took the screenshot.
-
For everyone who's had complaints about signal strength/dropping (including myself at times). I really can't say it anymore because this phone holds onto LTE just as aggressively as my n5 used to.

Have you had this approved by the powers that be at S4GRU. Sales and promoting are normally not allowed, per the rules. Might try swappa but I believe you have to have the device off your account.

This will change incredibly quickly. I live by 3 towns of 10k or less and speeds on b25 used to be right around 32mbs (real expected Max). In less than a year and a half speeds on b25 dropped to 2-5 mbs right before b26 got blanket deployed around here. Out of friends, church members, and the general assorted people that we know around this area over 60% have already switched to sprint or have taken advantage of their carriers retention deals. Also you would not believe the amount of people on other carriers who see me streaming twitch, while waiting on family members, and ask me how I can do it because they can't get pictures to load completely. It happens most frequently in STL county, and further in. Edit: last statement was to emphasis that I meant the other carriers are going to shit, and b41 is a huge benefit.
