  1. The option alone is great, if you want the tethering swap to a new plan. If you prefer your current contracts TOS then stay on it. So many plans, so little time....what shall everyone do?
  2. This is getting really off topic... But the reason most people on S4GRU have issues with SERO and most of the older plans are that they are so dirt cheap, and included unlimited. Most on here seem to agree that unlimited should be a premium service and carry a premium cost associated with it. SERO represents a service being rendered for an amount that is an obsolete steal and doesn't provide the return to Sprint that it should.
  3. Probably way better RF performance, nexus devices have been shown to be better than the Samsung offering as a whole. I agree with most of the comments in that thread, bezels do not look that bad, however the overall shape of the LG Nexus 5 (original) look better to me personally. Not that the Nexus 5 X (2015) looks bad, it's just a little too oval shaped to be as nice as the original.
  4. Most of us on S4GRU actually would and do. 1x is a 3G technology, which is set by the technological standards and not a speed cap.
  5. *drool* It doesn't look that much bigger, right about the M9 size wise (compared to how my M9 looks next to my n5). How is it when you hold it in your hand compared to the n5?
  6. If you want Sprint Zone, etc just download the apk on XDA and install it. That's what I did for my n5 when there were network issues around me. As soon as you guys get your can you post a few pictures? I'd like to get a rough idea of what the different options really look like, especially the wood back.
  7. Sprint did not suck in KC a year ago, it outperformed AT&T, Verizon, and T-mobile throughout the town (which I witnessed first hand along with hundreds of other students). Anyone complaining either bought a popular crappy RF performing device (looking at you Samsung >.>), already had a crappy RF device, or had a handset that didn't support the full network. The latter is partially Sprint's fault for not running a promotion to give away mid range Spark handsets to current users, or offer Flagship phones at a discounted rate.
  8. There's still rumors floating around of an SD card slot. I'd actually prefer removable storage myself. Also the 2700 mAh battery is better than the s6.
  9. Here's a link to the original twitter post of the display panels. Note that it does contain the panels for each nexus. https://mobile.twitter.com/OnLeaks/status/636907568489721856
  10. I saw those supposed specs on reddit. If those are true, this would be the first nexus that not only competes from a price to performance ratio, but from a purely spec based battle with most (if not all) of the flagships. Especially if the price is <500, if it's closer to 400 this phone will be a steal and I'll likely try to get two of them.
  11. Ah that is true, although Stanley HS (I think that's the name) is one of the better schools in the area regardless of sides. Plus while there's semantics and technicalities to living on one side or the other (like school districts) the KC area is the KC area regardless of the border and most of the people who live in the area don't seem to care that there's a border in the middle. Except for the Overland Park people, god forbid someone includes one of the surrounding areas under that name .
  12. Actually there's are quite a few (~6-7000 people) in Parkville that live there to save money and commute the 15 minutes to north KC. Uber is finally gaining a foothold in KC too, so that's going to improve transit options. This isnt directed at you, but saying that there's no reason to stay in KC as a current college student because there's no jobs is crazy. Cerner just expanded and has offered some of the best internships in ~800 miles for anyone looking to get into the technical field. All of the colleges around offer great internships, Sprint even offers internships in everything from journalism to technical things. The best part is they're all paid.. as for not going able to walk everywhere, well that's done people's cup of tea but more and more people (in my experience) are wanting a house and an acre or a few than a dinky apartment (and there are those too).
  13. I'm hoping if they force legacy plans off subsidized phone prices they'll offer a ~$15-20 credit like they did to get you to lease, although personally I mean My Way because the ED plans are still a good deal even if you have to tack ~$20 on top of them.
  14. Think of Easy Pay like putting the phone on your credit card (with lower interest rates thankfully). You pay it off monthly and get to keep the phone when you're done.
  15. When I look at it, I see literally the same phone with a different camera hole/led and an included finger print scanner. Which are small changes to make in a cad file to have it print the new 'N5'. I was just curious where you found it, because I haven't really been keeping tracks of the leaks/rumors except for this thread, and I wanted to start .
  16. Is there a source for the 'leaked' photo? With AJ's post I'm highly skeptical that LG would make a phone so close to a competitors old phone, generations old especially.
  17. Flash the original radio, there's a zip on XDA. It's not as good as my n5 was, but the M9 is still a good performing phone (actually better on b41 than the n5 was).
  18. Both have pretty good margins, especially what you think the margins for tea would be but aren't.
  19. This isn't the place to be complaining about someones writing style and edicate, or lack there of. Take it to private messages or flag it for the staff to deal with. This thread may wonder off topic and has become kind of a catch all thread, but that's no where near close.
