  1. Had to go into a corporate store last weekend (mom gets a discount at her new job). Long story short it took 6 people 50 minutes to get an N5 to activate. Oh and someone had to physically get escorted out of the store because they were screaming at someone being helped when that person asked them to wait their turn. They did handle it well, imo.
  2. I believe they went the Enterprise Wi-Fi route, there's a plethora of fiber around. Oh wait, I guess wheat doesn't count....that does explain the breweries every couple of miles though.
  3. I'm a KC/Missouri person, so I'm here to provide the new blanket statement for the network. It's quite 'bitchin' in 99.9% of the areas, and the other areas have nothing in them but cows, and maybe the occasional Meth lab [emoji6].
  4. Some times when handing off from 3g/1x to LTE, or vice versa, signalcheck can pull the information it needs while Android is still trying to process. This results in a hang up inside the app until it refreshes and pulls the information again.
  5. It's not really a bug. Sometimes Android doesn't process the swap to/from one to the other as fast as SignalCheck does. So it shows both for a bit until it goes to do the next refresh.
  6. Personally don't mind the quirks. They just come off as funny little surprises. Of course this is assuming they aren't breaking anything.
  7. Yeah I get about 250-300 notifications a day to my phone, literally every one from my phone. My ZenWatch is at 60-65% at the end of the night, and I can usually get 3 days of use out of it roughly.
  8. I had the chance to spend a few hours with a sport version last weekend. Overall not impressed compared to my Zenwatch. How are you guys doing on battery life? All I heard from the owner of the one I used is that he barely makes it a day, and he is by no means a power user on his phone so I wouldn't expect too many notifications being pushed.
  9. Short term, yes I'd say it's not returning investments like they had hoped. 5+ years from now where even little towns in the Midwest have 2nd b41 carriers and the RRP deals are live is a different story. Look at current spectrum holdings, forgoing any purchases and sales Sprint should at least clinch number one metro carrier with ease. Number one in coverage is a different beast but there are acquired assets in the Midwest that have greatly helped areas that are rural, but yet highly traveled. This is a game of chess, not connect 4.
  10. No I do not. However I fully believe that Masa and the board at Softbank invested for the long haul. If you don't think they looked at 5, 10, 15, 25 year predictions by experts before they even considered buying in Sprint you're crazy. Masa has shown he has a methodical, planning mentality. If they believe Sprint needs something they will go after achieving it however they feel best.
  11. This in my opinion is a stupid statement. Softbank has money in multiple ventures like most successful major companies, and money to spare. Investing into a Mobile Game creator that is the brains behind not only one, but multiple insanely popular games is smart. Greater returns means more capital that can be used for anything Softbank, even Sprint.
  12. Or manufacturers are putting 4k support into their devices because you can put your own videos on your devices. You don't have to stream them to watch them...
  13. An indicator that a site won't be logged actually sounds kind of like a sweet feature. Unless of course it actually should be getting logged and that's just an error that'll prevent it from being logged.
  14. All nexus phones are unlocked, even if you purchase one from Sprint it will still be able to use other sims.
  15. The deed only got a 1 star rating from IMDB, http://m.imdb.com/title/tt1379066/. So I can see why she didn't stick around for the other 6 minutes and 55 seconds of it.
  16. I didn't know she could see the future. I should probably exploit that in the stock market then...
  17. He still can't last five seconds......Oh wait, you were referring to the forum xD. Probably shouldn't have gone there, but comedic rule demands it!
  18. Also on the subject of accessories. I broke my Spigen Ultra hybrid case about two weeks back while trying to get it off. They are extremely snug, probably a bit too snug. So I got a Spigen Neo Hybrid to replace it, and while it doesn't show the exterior of the phone (a reason I got the ultra hybrid the first time) it is possible to get this one off. This is probably because it's a two piece case, and the grippy back is nice too.
  19. The radio or scan timer? To flash the radio you have to s-off unless someone got around to making a twrp flashable zip... For the scan timer I used SignalCheck's menu shortcuts to go to data/epst (edit not view) and under advanced there should be the LTE scan timer. Disclaimer: I have no idea if you have to be rooted to get it to stick or not.
  20. I changed the LTE scan timer to be 3 minutes instead of the default 5. It definitely seems to be helping in conjunction with flashing the pre-update radio.
  21. I'm sorry you found my post 'hostile'. All I did was refute your statements with information I believe to be correct, more along the lines of what most of this site probably believe to be true. I purposely put argue/discuss because some people will take it one way or another, and past a certain point discussing becomes arguing in my opinion. It's simply a way that I go about to prevent people from getting agitated because this is the internet and I understand it's hard to grasp the inflections through text. If you don't like it please don't take it personally, that's the way I cover things and that is the way I'm going to continue to.
  22. First off I don't think speed tests matter in your calculations. Average users (this is what we're talking about) do NOT speed test unless something is wrong, or they're told to speed test every second of the day because it's 'free' (aka T-Mobile). 4k video streaming isn't applicable either, every carrier is going to throttle video streaming to where 4k is not possible to keep capacity open, and sorry but people are plain stupid if they watch 4k on a mobile device because the quality is not noticeable to the human eye. Most people also don't stream movies on their phone anyways, they stream TV because they are doing it on their breaks or etc....when they have enough free time to watch a movie they are usually at home, or somewhere they can offload anyways. Also lossless audio streaming probably won't become a standard. I stream 8 hours of Pandora (high quality) a day 6-7 days a week and barely use 4gbs from it, and that's above average usage. Tldr; You can argue/discuss back and forth with members all you want, however your opinion on this has been disproved multiple times on this forum alone.
  23. Doesn't just reboot, it soft bricks the iPhone and can actually cause a meltdown in some cases that ruins internal components. I have a friend who works at one of the biggest apple stores across the country and apparently it's approaching 3% of the phones brought into stores nationwide....
  24. History has shown through the numerous times this has been discussed, that even those like us who are techheads 15+ is a lot. It takes effort to break 20+ even with watching your TV shows on mobile.
