  1. Because it hasn't been tested in Sprint's LTE testing lab. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

  3. Sprint's Minnesota market, for instance, has 4 of Verizon's "Markets" in it. Duluth, Minn. Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minn. The Rochester Area, Minn. St. Cloud, Minn. While some of Verizon's markets cover several cities, they don't cover large geographical areas as Sprint's do. Minneapolis/St. Paul covers a huge metro area also, but St. Cloud doesn't cover much territory.
  4. 3G Note? Better than no Note at all. It would work great for anyone who is almost always covered by Wi-Fi.
  5. Pow! Right in the kisser! http://s4gru.com/index.php?/blog/1/entry-117-confirmed-sprint-targeting-april-15th-for-galaxy-nexus-launch/ S4GRU wins again!
  6. Wow, I would be very surprised at that kind of move, but it is possible. People have been waiting since January for the Nexus, that would be a cruel joke. With the amount of customers that are off contract right now, I don't think they can afford to tick anyone off. Even if it means ticking off HTC.
  7. I agree. The GNex is still a flagship device and they will sell a lot off them to people who like to mess around with development and ROMs etc. The EVO is certainly an upgrade, but the Nexus S held its own against the EVO 3D which was arguably more of an upgrade over the Nexus S than the EVO LTE is over the GNex. The least that Sprint could do is have a press release to announce the date.
  8. Welcome!
  9. Maybe Swiftel will wake up and Sioux Falls and some of the other larger cities will be upgraded to LTE. You could also receive Clearwire LTE when that is rolled out. That will be down the road a bit, but Clearwire has buildout requirements, and they have to cover a certain percentage of the population with their networks or they stand to lose pieces of their nationwide Spectrum. Since you currently have WiMax in town, albeit 1 tower, there is a chance that Clearwire will expand coverage there. Then you just need a phone that can access LTE on Clearwire's frequency.
  10. My dad told me "Well son, you tried, and you failed. The lesson is, never try." Oh, wait, that was Homer Simpson. Doh!
  11. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/blog/1/entry-96-orange-county-raleighdurham-are-scheduled-to-be-in-the-second-round-of-sprint-network-visionlte-deployment-in-2012/ http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/32-network-vision-explained/ Those links should provide answers.
  12. When you say something like this It makes people think that you are tethering your computer use through your phone, thereby raising your internet use and causing even more strain on the network making everyone else around you slow down. If you are using just your cell phone to internet browse, e-mail, stream, etc, that is normal usage and yes, you are correct, you shouldn't need an ISP. Also, if you are paying for the capability to tether your computer to your phone and use internet connectivity and fall within all the guidelines imposed with the tethering agreement, again you are correct, you don't need an ISP. Many people, including myself, have wifi at home and use that to connect the smartphone when we are at home. I get 30mbps from my home internet, so my smartphone flies through any task while I am connected to wifi. There is no way I could cut my internet service, as I am dependant on it, not for cell phone use, but for all the other gadgets I have around the house that use internet. Connecting my cell phone to it is just a plus for me, and it helps out those around me because my usage is no longer on the network.
  13. I guess it could have been 10BASE-T. They always referred to our connection as T1... Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
