  1. This picture would certainly make it look like the SIM is embedded. Not sure if this is an authentic pic of a production device though. http://an.droid-life...e-wait-opinion/ as opposed to the GSM and Verizon versions
  2. He probably had a defective device, or inconsistant testing locations. My GNex is faster on Wi-Fi than my wife's RAZR MAXX. Most if not all of the complaints about weak antenna's are coming straight from the difference between the signal that Gingerbread reports and ICS reports. GB reports the 1x signal when you are connected to LTE, where ICS reports the LTE signal.
  3. Sadly, it ended in Feb http://forums.bestbuy.com/t5/Mobile-Phones-Broadband/Phone-Freedom-50-Gift-Card-Offer-FAQ-Registration-Ended-02-12/td-p/454571
  4. It's funny that they expect Verizon to be left out again. Maybe Verizon wanted it to bear a "droid" branding and Samsung told them to pound sand.
  5. Agreed. I can just imagine a bunch of people using speakerphone in a nice peaceful restaurant so they can also use data. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  6. I was off Samsung for a long time. In the feature phone days, I didn't have very good luck with the software, but they made good, feature-rich phones. Then when android came along, I went with the HTC Hero and the wife went with the Samsung Moment. She seemed a little happier with the Moment, where I had to root the Hero. I never noticed a time when I had service and she didn't. I briefly upgraded to the EVO 3D while the wife had the E4GT. Again, never had service when she didn't. After playing with her E4GT, I bought the E4GT and saw the light. Now I have the Nexus, and it is also an awesome device. I know there are a few people who have complaints about LOS or reception issues and they shout their complaints from the mountain tops. The fact of the matter is that Samsung isn't dumb, they absolutely have to manufacture quality devices or they will disappear from the market leaders as fast as they rose to the top. HTC EVO 4G LTE

No. But what would WiMax give at this signal? It's no wonder LTE won out over WiMax. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

    HTC EVO 4G LTE

I can attest to that. Coverage is "seamless" in St. Cloud but I am lucky to break -85bdm. I went to Minneapolis, and I was getting between -60 to -85bdm. I am currently getting -117dbm LTE in my living room. Poor Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

    HTC EVO 4G LTE

No, totally different band class. Plus there are no roaming agreements for LTE data.
