  1. I just checked mine and I do have the hotspot toggle under settings>connections. The order is 1) WiFi calling, 2) WiFi, 3) Hotspot, 4) Bluetooth.
  2. Bust Buy refused to match the price on my GN3. Sprint sold it for $699. Bust buy sold it for $799. They said it was too much of a difference. I ended up buying it from Amazon when it was on sale for $704. With Amazon, I get points on my credit card towards future purchases. I am not a fan at all of Bust Buy.
  3. If you sync your contacts with your gmail account, they will download again after you do the factory reset. Settings>Accounts>Google>your email >sync contacts.
  4. My bad! I tuned in late and didn't read enough of the previous posts.
  5. You can also get the update over WiFi.
  6. I just got it as well. 43.00 MB. We'll see.......
  7. Whatever was causing my battery drain is gone. I'm now at 3 days. 13 hours with 39% left. It's got about 1.5 hours of screen on time, 1 hour of Amazon Cloud streaming and 1.5 hours of voice calls, not to mention email and web surfing. I guess KK has finally settled down. I'm in awe!
  8. Your issue sure sounds like an eCSFB problem. Here is a link to a really great article that Robert wrote: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/blog/1/entry-357-nexus-5-and-lg-g2-experience-temporary-sprint-lte-connectivity-issues-due-to-circuit-switched-fallback-technology/ Hope this helps. My LG G2 Tri Band would park on 3G in the Harrisburg PA area last November until Shentel updated the system CSFB. Luckily it only took Shentel 10 days after the G2 release to perform the update. Shentel is usually right on top of things.
  9. I wonder if my G2 is just a big yellow lemon? There are many other owners though that complain of poor RF with the G2. Everyone loves their N5.
  10. So are you saying that your LG G2 has better reception at your house than the Note 3 does? My situation is just the opposite. My N3 has much better RF reception in the same areas. But you are right. Samsung quality is not what it used to be....
  11. I hear you! Mine is not real bad either. It's just annoying, because I knew how good it was before KK.
  12. Thanks for the help AJ! My LG G2 will acquire eHRPD and 1x800 whereas my GN3 will use 1xRTT and EV-DO. Perhaps it is because of the weaker RF performance of the G2
  13. There is a battery drain bug in the KitKat update. This was posted over in the LG G2 thread. http://www.zdnet.com/kitkat-giving-you-battery-drain-problems-try-uninstalling-skype-says-google-as-it-prepares-a-fix-7000027051/
  14. Very interesting. There are a few of us over on the Samsung GN3 thread that have noticed the battery drain issue as well. Mine is minimal, but noticeable
  15. Thank you for that AJ. Any idea though why I fall back to EV-DO instead of eHRPD?
  16. I have a question that hopefully someone can help me with. I am currently using a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in the Harrisburg PA (Shentel) area. When I am in an area that has poor 4G LTE coverage, my phone has been falling back to EV-DO instead of eHRPD. I checked in the DATA screen and found that eHRPD is indeed enabled. I then checked in the DEBUG screen and looked under eHRPD. I found that is lists "APN: Need to fix". I performed a hands free activation on the device to re-aquire what I thought it may need or be missing, but no change. Does anyone know why it would list the APN error and why I am falling back to EV-DO instead of eHRPD? Thanks for any help.
  17. Thanks for taking the time to write these articles. I find them most interesting and informative. Again, thanks for including the EIRP data!
  18. I have the ASUS RT-N68U. Mine updated correctly without doing anything to the time settings under administration.
  19. This is a shame. They took a phenomenal phone and screwed it all up. Hopefully enough other owners have issues so there will be a fix for this horrible KK 4.4 downgrade.
  20. Mine can be added to the list as well. I would rather have better battery life than KK 4.4.
  21. Nice primer. Very informative. I can't wait to see what this device turns out to be! So glad you included a brief RF ERP/EIRP numbers comparison.
  22. I did that yesterday and it worked! I never experienced that issue before with any other os update. For some unknown reason, the contacts just weren't visible to Bluetooth dialing.
