  1. Just went to make a call from my GN3 over Bluetooth in my vehicle (2011 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited with nav). I found that the GN3, since the KitKat update, will no longer dial by name. It only dials by number. Has anyone else noticed Bluetooth dialing issues since the KitKat update?
  2. I really should have done that, but I hare spending the time putting everything back on and getting it just the way I like it.
  3. Does anyone know if the Sprint Samsung GN3 is HD voice compatible? I tried to look for information on this subject but came up blank.
  4. Great news! Hopefully they'll make their way north to Harrisburg soon...
  5. I used to brag about the battery life on my GN3 before the update. After the update, I have noticed the battery life is not as good as it was before. I also think that performance took a slight hit as well. I notice more lag time with TouchWiz now.
  6. KNOX is a royal PITA! Hopefully Samsung fixed the issue, with the KitKat update, where KNOX always falsely flags legitimate apps as malicious. This happens on a co-worker's S4 as well.
  7. I bought my Note 3 outright as well. I will also get the Note 4 when it is finally released.
  8. These are phenomenal devices. Can't wait for the next iteration, hopefully the GN4 Tri Band!
  9. You're right - not worth the effort!
  10. I'm not rooted. I think I need to lose my fear of rooting and just go for it. Any particular method of rooting you would recommend? I want to ensure I can restore the device to non - rooted for warranty purposes if I ever need to do so.

  12. Does anybody know how to hide the developer options in the settings menu on the GN3 without factory resetting the phone? I was curious to see what all was in the developer's menu and enabled it by muti-tapping on the build version. Now I can't find a way to re-hide it. I tried clearing the cache and data under settings, but no luck. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.
  13. My GN3 appears a little more aggressive in its battery use as well after the upgrade, with Android System as the top offender. Hopefully this will settle down after a few days of the new O/S settling in.
  14. I'm actually pretty impressed with the battery life of my GN3. I have a lot of screen on time web surfing and voice calls and yet I still get phenomenal battery life. When KitKat downloaded today while I was at work, it took 45 minutes over LTE. The last time I charged the battery was one day prior to the download. I used the GN3 heavily playing today, had a 50 minute voice call with my GF and I'm still at 38% right now!
  15. I can imagine. It's amazing though..., with all that extra garbage running, I still get 2+ days battery life with moderate use.
  16. I never really realized just how heavily TouchWhiz was overlaid on top of Android. KitKat is barely recognizable...
  17. I got the download. KitKat is downloading right now....Yea!!!!
  18. Yes, This has been happening on my GN3 as well. I really wish Google would refine their Android system a little better.
  19. Some users have reported dropped calls, garbled voice and poor reception. My GN3 exhibits none of the above. It's a rock solid device with 2+ days battery life with moderate use. Bought the GN3 at full price because my LG G2 is such a POS. I think you'll be very happy with the Sprint GN3. The Verizon GN3 has abysmal RF performance at best. Good Luck.
  20. Maybe? Unfortunately now, a bunch of us are past the return period and are stuck with them. Because of the original eCSFB issue, I didn't even get to start ant test the RF performance on LTE until the return period was almost up. By the time I found out the G2 is a POS, it was too late. I imagine sending the device back to LG would be fruitless. I can just imagine them returning the phone to me saying "What problems?, everything worked just fine during our testing". Live and learn....
  21. I know exactly where you're comming from. My phone mirrors all your G2 issues as well. I bought the Samsung GN3 at full cost just so I didn't have to deal with all the G2's issues. My G2 is currently not activated. When 800 MHz LTE lights up in Hartisburg, I'll re- activate the G2 to see how well 800 LTE works, then sell the G2 and get another Tri Band device. Don't know which one yet. Maybe the N5 for stellar RF, but really want a big screen and great RF.
  22. What new stuff? Do you mean the S5...
  23. Welcome to the world of LG G2 GPS functionality. Mine is like that all the time, as many other users report as well. Hopefully it's just a glitch and you'll be good. Your GPS always worked fine. Many of us deal with this all the time. I'm really hoping LG updates the GPS to correct this soon. There are a lot of owners reporting GPS issues.
  24. imap-mail.outlook.com That's the syntax you need. Then smtp-mail.outlook.com for the outgoing server. Live and hotmail can be substituted for Outlook. Hope this helps.
