  1. You're making me jealous! Still nothing in the Harrisburg area.
  2. No evidence of band 26 here in Harrisburg yet. We tried my G'F's Samsung S4T tri band phone and only fell back to 3G eHRPD when the 1900 MHz LTE signal was lost. Looked in the DEBUG screen and only found band 25 connections.
  3. I thought the reason Sprint gave us WiFi calling was to have the ability to make a call where there was no cell service? Does this mean that if we are out of cell system range, we can't use WiFi calling? That doesn't make sense. If we have CDMA service why not just use that for a call?
  4. I wonder if 800 LTE is up and running here in Harrisburg as well? I'll have to re-activate my LG G2 to find out. You're giving me hope!
  5. Good Luck! I'm still waiting for the definitive device....
  6. What happened to your G2? I thought you really liked it.
  7. That really sucks that you had to go through all that hassle! What a PITA!
  8. I've done this already. No hassle whatsoever and they sent it to me in 2 days. If the Sprint reseller will not give you a SIM card, then they don't deserve you future business either! The folks at Sprint International are very accommodating.
  9. I'm sure someone knows how to hack the threshold, if you can even get into those menus - I sure don't know. Without the antenna/radio being able to receive a good signal, it probably wouldn't be usable anyway. The charging is not normal. My G2 charges up in a little over an hour, maybe 1.5 hours or so while it's still on. Good Luck!
  10. I feel for you. I found that my G2 is not good at all in fringe reception areas or at the cell edge. Do you have a friend who has a N5 on Sprint? Possibly you could try that at your work location to see if there is an improvement. If so you could sell your G2 and purchase a N5. The N5 is the best RF performer at this time.
  11. I Have a G2 as well. I'm currently using my single band Samsung GN3. I was never impressed at all with the RF performance of the G2. In my basement for example, the GN3 will hold a very usable LTE signal while the G2 would fall back to a weak 3G signal. Both on the same GCI - confirmed by Mike's Signal Check app. The GN3 has such a better sound quality in the earpiece as well. Just my $0.02.
  12. Service is really good in the Harrisburg area with the Shentel towers. When they finally do light up LTE 800, it's going to put Verizon to shame. The Sprint towers aree densely positioned. We'll have in-building penetration out the...
  13. The Harrisburg UPS hub is located in an industrial park on 19th & Gibson streets in Steelton/Swatara Township PA.
  14. I've been seeing the work truck st the Shentel tower behind UPS in Harrisburg. They're up to something. That tower is 1x800, 3G, 4G LTE accepted so I assume the next evolutionary step is underway.
  15. Yeah, I really hope we're both correct. That would be awesome.
  16. I'm pretty sure I remember Robert stating in a thread somewhere that Shentel does now have a tenative agreement with Sprint to get things rolling with band 41, but it is at a later date. We'll be good to go eventually.
  17. I called Sprint tonight and was able to speak to a person named Marty who really knew her stuff. She looked up all my dropped calls and did indeed find that they were all network related. That's fine. During network upgrades there will be some short term pain for long term gain. I would have really been upset if the problem were my Samsung GN3. The guy I spoke to the other night must not have known how to look up the information and blamed the entire issue on my handset. Marty explained to me where she was getting the tower data and what it all meant. Very cool! Problem solved.
  18. My GN3 just started dropping calls. In 26 or so calls, I dropped 5 calls. Two were while I was stationary at work. I get a very good 1x800 signal at work about -65 dBm. I've had the phone since December 31, 2013. Never had a dropped call until this month. I called Sprint, who told me that all the dropped calls were the fault of the handset. The very last dropped call was not logged in Sprint's system yet. The CSA to whom I spoke was going to call me back last evening when the reason was logged in - of course, he never called me. Short time length calls never drop, It's always during a long (20 minute...) important business call when this happens. Do we believe that the dropped calls are indeed the fault of the GN3? The GN3 went 3 months without a single dropped call. Could it in reality be Sprint's system as they upgrade? I'm really baffled as to what to do. If I send the device back to Samsung for inspection, we all know they won't find anything wrong with it. There are no Sprint corporate stores near me - Just Shentel stores. I'm not really sure how to even test the handset to see if dropped calls are its fault. Could this be caused by the KK update? Any advice or knowledge would be appreciated.
  19. If I remember what I read correctly, it is line of sight microwave. These antenna can be solar powered as well. The cost is minimal compared to today's cell towers.
  20. Another fantastic auto brightness app that I use is YAAB. Yet Another Auto Brightness. It allows you to set the minimum level that you want the brightness to dim down to. You should give it a try!
  21. Yes, I tried to make multiple calls after 4 PM today and kept getting a fast busy signal. After I would disconnect and call the number again, I had success. yesterday I had a few dropped calls as well. I'm in the Harrisburg PA area. Most annoying. I was using my single band Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
  22. I never experienced that issue with my Note 3. I also had a Note 3 back in October with a defective home button.. That sample didn't have reception issues either. I also own the LG G2. The N3 holds LTE much better than the G2. in my basement, the G2 falls back to 3G where the N3 stays on LTE. Maybe it would be a good idea to check the Sprint community forums and see if those afflicted with bad Note 3 phones ever had their issues resolved with KK.
