  1. I average 300-500 minutes a month. Some things are just easier to communicate easier over the phone.
  2. Yeah, sorry that was a little confusing the way I worded it. I use Hangouts for Google voice. I can send MMS via Google voice through Hangouts to non Sprint carriers but I get an error when sending to Sprint users. I have to change to send via carrier number instead in Hangouts. I should also add, I use Hangouts for SMS as well. I have not tested using Hangouts for GV and another messaging app for SMS.
  3. I've been using Google voice calling almost exclusively for over a year now. It works very well. Another added benefit to simultaneous voice/data is all your devices you sign into hangouts on can send and receive calls/SMS through your Sprint number. The only drawback so far is MMS still only go to the phone, and for some reason I'm unable to send MMS to other Sprint users via Google voice. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  4. The activation/upgrade fee should just be rolled into the price listed for each device Sprint sells. Additional fees bother me no matter who they are from or what they are for. Sent from my SM-T217S using Tapatalk
  5. I don't really see an issue with relocating sites to cheaper locations if it can provide comparable coverage. Sites get relocated all the time for various reasons, saving money is a legitimate reason to do it. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  6. I don't like price increases (in any form) any more than anyone else. However how do some of you expect to continually pay the same price year after year for wireless service? My taxes go up, my insurance premiums go up, my TV and internet all go up in price every few years. Food, transportation, entertainment, everything eventually goes up so why would wireless service be any different? I'm grateful Sprint allows us to hang onto our legacy plans at legacy rates, but when that comes to an end I'll just accept it like I do everything else. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  7. It's too bad people had to be greedy and ruin neverstop for everyone else. I've been contemplating replacing my Sprint LivePro with a karma go. Their plans would fit my sporadic usage a lot better, but the device itself is rather lackluster when compared side by side. I suppose I could always carry both and WiFi tether the LivePro. It would be really cool if they could do a byod program like Ting has for their service. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  8. Do you happen to know the capacity of a 1x carrier for calls? As in simultaneous calls in one sector? Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  9. Open world is 1GB of high speed data, plus $30/GB overage. The other plan is unlimited 2G data. You have to pick which one you want, there isn't a way to get both currently. It's been a while since I looked but both plans have different countries its available in as well. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  10. In hangouts next to where you enter text hit the little arrow. You can change between Google voice, hangouts message, and SMS on the fly. I currently have to do this when sending mms to Sprint customers, since I get an error about incorrect country code if I try mms via Google voice to a Sprint user. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  11. It's charged as an overage. Only pay for what you use. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  12. They are cutting some CDMA and EVDO carriers in places where it will let them launch a second LTE carrier. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  13. The 900mhz band seems intended to enhance home networks to provide new functionality, not replace how we use our routers now. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  14. SERO is probably a tiny amount of their post paid subscriber base. While I don't think legacy plan customers should just be left out, I don't see a huge loss if they did kill off subsidy for SERO. If they want to coerce legacy plan customers off without any backlash, they could just qualify those accounts for the promos new customers get such as 40GB for $120 with the first four line access fees waived. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  15. The employer discount goes toward the data bucket on the newer plans, not the line access fee's.
  16. Any preexisting cards from wallet can be used even if they are currently unsupported. I was able to use my chase debit card up until about a week ago when chase replaced my debit card with a new emv card which now can't be added to Android pay. This is one of the biggest reasons I do not like the switch over from wallet. As of right now, the only card I can use at all is AMEX. I'm not about to go change banks just for Android pay, so I use the service a lot less now. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  17. Orange is the new black and house of cards are a few of my favorites. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  18. What's stopping you from buying the lease out, selling the phone and repeating? They really are just two sides of the same coin.
  19. Buying out your lease is almost no different than paying the upfront upgrade price. $200 now, or $200 later you still pay.
  20. This poll's results are going to depend on your plan type. Anyone still on a subsidized plan will obviously choose a subsidy (or maybe a lease with the credit) over anything else. Since my family is no longer on a subsidized plan, we do easy pay/lease/byod depending on current circumstances and offers currently available.
  21. This actually happened to my sister. She had no indication that she was roaming, and blew through her roaming data over the weekend. Hopefully this will be fixed, her phone is set to voice only for roaming and still used roaming data unknowingly. Her phone doesn't even register that she used any roaming data at all.
  22. Roaming on Verizon is almost always restricted to 1x data for non corporate accounts. I would think they could have a separate bucket set up for LTE roaming on the CCA networks. As Sprint opens more areas for LTE roaming, I can see the demand for additional roaming data increasing. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  23. I don't know where you're getting $300/GB. I meant they don't have any option to pay for more roaming data, at any price point. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  24. I do see the difference, however the general reason for offering roaming is the same. To be able to use your mobile in an area that does not have native coverage. The only point I'm trying to make is they have no option available for domestic over the base roaming bucket. I do not have the option of giving them more money, at any $ per MB rate. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  25. I'm not asking for cheap roaming rates, I know it is expensive. I would just like any option available. On the international side, they have unlimited 2g available or 1GB of high speed plus $15/GB overage. Even if they were to charge double or triple that overage rate, it's better than having nothing available.
