  2. Tonights 3xCA limited tests appear to show that the 3xCA setting is no longer effectively throttling the phone, but there are no significant speed improvements at three sites in Columbus Ohio.

  3. This update seems to have broken network signal guru. Cell mapper, signal check pro, lte discovery, signal detector appear to work.  Reloading app did nothing(uninstall/reinstall)

Message is: Cannot get configurations ! Please check internet connections.

  4. To see channel 476 1x800 (the default channel) only 37km from the Canadian border is very good news. Columbus has channel 526 about 160km from the border, which then restricts us to b26 LTE 800 3x3 at best (21.7Mbps maximum). Any B26 LTE 800 is welcome, but the possibility that you might get regular B26 LTE 800 5x5 is a great future option.

Enjoy the better in-building and low spot usage and fewer dropped call of 1x800. Great find!!

  5. One of my spotters has a G5 and got the nougat update today. You can set the phone for 3xCA with the MSL. Columbus is supposed to have 3xCA. It shows on the debug screen:

However, the ping almost doubles over default CA and the speed appears throttled. Speed is generally below CA at this point in time. Still, this is progress that should be good for most LG G5 users eventually.

  6. The firmware does have support for 3xCA, but more work is needed. 653a44488d381f682368cda0924e2357.jpg6ed7fbf81707446589f95e8e5ef290fe.jpg288119c03cc167e4ea1ed4195dc82212.jpg

My speed tests showed 3xCA to be equal or slower to CA. LG was first with B41. Hopefully again. There could also be other settings needed.

I tried it at two sites.
