  1. That move was only somewhat because of water resistance. It was mainly to save space inside the device so as to allow room for the larger battery and camera. Also, it was used to further Jony Ive's ultimate goal of the iPhone: to be as simplistic as possible. If he had his way, the iPhone would be nothing more than a piece of glass. Getting rid of the headphone jack so that there is only one port on the device was done for the same reason there is only one port on the MacBook: Jony Ive's vision. -Anthony
  2. Actually it was a strategic move to get people used to not having a physical home button anymore because next year's iPhone 8 (or whatever it will be called) won't have any type of home button at all. It was a decision that is being used to help smooth the transition to a home button-less world. -Anthony
  3. It's the same process as before. Go to field test, hold power button to bring up the power off screen, and press and hold the force touch home button until the home screen appears. Done. -Anthony
  4. Looks almost as if it was meant to be there! -Anthony
  5. I can confirm that this 100% works! I just did this to my 7 Plus. It's so nice to have the headphone jack back!! -Anthony
  6. Yeah if the store doesn't call me today and tell me that my phone is in then I'm going to call Sprint and talk to them about it. The installments didn't show up for my sister or Dad's phones until they activated theirs, so mine seems to be the outlier. -Anthony
  7. So, still haven't gotten a call from the Sprint store about my black 128 gb +. Our account on the Sprint website now shows the installment payment though, and it looks like they're trying to charge us for it. Gotta talk to Sprint and tell them that my Dad isn't paying for a phone we don't have yet. Also pretty upset that it's STILL not here. -Anthony
  8. Thanks. Shortly after I posted my comment, my Dad got a call that his Silver 128 GB 7 plus was in. Still waiting on my Black 128 GB plus. -Anthony
  9. When did you guys order your 7 Pluses? We preordered ours in store on the 10th (the day after preorders started) and are still awaiting them to come into the store. I'm very anxious, to say the least, especially since we go out of town Friday and won't be back until Monday, I would hate for them to come in while we're away. -Anthony
  10. If it's that tempting for you to switch, then switch. Nobody here is going to stop you. Just because Verizon and AT&T are willing to give people a trade in credit that is worth several times more than what the device is actually worth, doesn't mean that Sprint has to. Sprint can't afford to take the loss in profit like Verizon and AT&T can. Apple only offers 90 bucks for a 64 GB Unlocked iPhone 5S, so Sprint is right in line with that trade-in offering. -Anthony
  11. My sister's 7 got to the store today (still waiting on mine and my Dad's 7 Pluses ). All I can say is DAMN, is that speaker better or what?!? Compared to my 6 Plus, her phone's speaker blows mine out of the water! -Anthony
  12. AFAIK, Sprint has not enabled uplink CA nor are they planning on enabling it anytime soon. Tim would probably know more, though. -Anthony
  13. Problem is, nobody expected demand to be this high. Not even Apple. After placing production orders of the 7 to Foxconn a couple of months back, Apple went back and asked them to scale back production because they were expecting demand to be way less than what they were ordering. I think everyone has been a bit surprised with how high of demand people have for this phone this year. -Anthony
  14. I can't say I've ever experienced an HD Voice call on WiFi. WiFi calling definitely sounds clearer, but it's not as clear as HD Voice on Sprint, at least not for me. -Anthony
  15. If my Dad hadn't ordered us all iPhone 7's last weekend I would totally have entered into this. Granted, I don't exactly have much spare cash right now, so I will only be able to give my normal monthly donation -Anthony
  16. http://www.reuters.com/article/us-apple-iphone-idUSKCN11L0AD TL;DR: Initial supply for the iPhone 7 Plus worldwide sold out, while the Jet Black iPhone 7 has sold out worldwide also. Customers trying to purchase the sold out models on launch day in-store will be unable to do so. They can only be pre-ordered online for the time being. -Anthony
  17. Only when on a WiFi call. When on the macro network, HD Voice works with WiFi calling enabled. -Anthony
  18. We ordered our 7's through the Sprint store so no tracking numbers for us -Anthony
  19. iOS 10 has been great on my 6 Plus. No noticeable performance issues compared to iOS 9. -Anthony
  20. AppleCare+ has always been a better deal than Sprint's (or any carrier's, for that matter) deductible. The only benefits the carrier's insurance provides is for loss or theft. -Anthony
  21. I can confirm this. My Dad got his 6s Plus on iPhone Forever in December and the terms of his lease were he became upgrade eligible when the new iPhone came out. He became upgrade eligible on September 1st. Shortly after he got his 6s (on Christmas Eve) they updated the plan to 12 consecutive payments. -Anthony
  22. Went to the Sprint store earlier today and preordered my Black 7 Plus 128 GB, my Dad's Silver 7 Plus 128 GB, and my sister's Black 7 128GB. Looking forward to them arriving! -Anthony

  24. The iPhone for Life deal that was available in December said that when the new device came out, they would be upgrade eligible, so their account should say that on September 1st, they became upgrade eligible. Whereas once they upgrade to the iPhone 7, they will move to the new iPhone Forever deal, where they have to make 12 consecutive lease payments before they become upgrade eligible again. -Anthony
  25. I'm 98% sure that WiFi to CDMA handoffs are working now. Don't quote me on that though, as I've never tested it, but I remember reading it after we discovered the WiFi calling changes in iOS 10. -Anthony
