  1. He's talking about being connected to WiFi while on a call, not using WiFi calling. -Anthony
  2. Interesting. Maybe it was because I applied too late on release day. I’m just outside of band 41 and band 25 coverage here and was denied one. I suppose I’ll try again later this year when supply has caught up a little bit. -Anthony
  3. I’m not exactly sure we can, considering the credits were supposed to be applied monthly as deductions, similar to how your base Framily rate gets deducted 5 dollars for every extra person you have on your Framily plan. Technically it’s not our money because it was something Sprint offered as a promotion, and not as cash. -Anthony
  4. That’s what I had thought, but apparently Sprint (and maybe the other carriers, I don’t have any experience with them) doesn’t do that. They only subtract the price of your plan, and you have to pay separately for the equipment. We had the same issue back when easy pay was relatively new and my father would make large payments to our Sprint account so that he didn’t have to log on and pay for a couple months. And then he gets an email that says that our account might be terminated if we don’t pay off the amount due, even though there was several hundred dollars worth of credit on the account. -Anthony
  5. Around 1200 dollars worth of the credits is credit from Sprint that is supposed to be for the devices. We took advantage of the trade in an iPhone 6 or newer towards an iPhone 7 promo back in September and Sprint couldn’t figure out how to apply our monthly bill credits for the device payments so they just credited us the whole amount of the devices. I understand that we can just make our usual monthly payment, minus the equipment fees, and we wouldn’t have a problem, but it just seems weird that we still have to physically pay when there’s such a large available balance. -Anthony
  6. So I’ve got a quick Sprint question that I’m hoping someone can answer for me. Why is it that Sprint is incapable of paying equipment charges with a negative balance on our account? We have nearly 2000 dollars worth of credit on our account and yet every month we have a notice that our bill is “past due” because they don’t deduct equipment charges from your account balance. I just don’t understand why we still need to go on to the website and make a payment when we have so much credit on the account. -Anthony
  7. Can confirm that field test is operative once again in iOS 11 dev beta 3. It still craps itself after loading all of the information, but at least it works like it did pre-beta 2. -Anthony
  8. Yeah the worst part is we can still bring the field test app up, but it just sits at "Connecting" forever. -Anthony
  9. Apparently it's stock LTE band priorities are messed up for Sprint. From what I've seen it favors B26 first, then B25, and then B41. It should be the other way around. -Anthony
  10. Ah yes that is correct. Forgot about that. The 835 is probably what Apple is using in the iPhone 8, but like others said, it will probably be limited to whatever the Intel modem is capable of, so as to not offer devices that drastically out-perform another on a different network. They did the same thing with the iPhone 7 by limiting the Qualcomm devices because the Intel modems weren't as powerful. -Anthony
  11. Does Qualcomm have a gigabit LTE capable chip right now? If not, it doesn’t surprise me that Apple won’t have one in the iPhone 8. Specs for the device were more than likely finalized last month, and it will be going into mass-production mid- to late-July. If there wasn’t a capable chip from Qualcomm at these times, then Apple certainly wouldn’t have designed the iPhone 8 around one. -Anthony
  12. Ah okay. I had thought I had seen Android devices with four bars. Maybe it was older devices with older versions of Android on them. Oh well, either way I would prefer the fifth bar in iOS 11's new signal indicator. -Anthony
  13. Yeah I noticed this too. Android has 4 bars, correct? -Anthony
  14. Yup, no VoLTE. Nothing too interesting Sprint-wise in the beta. Oh well, didn’t expect much. -Anthony
  15. Just a quick little tidbit, Sprint iPhone 7 Plus on iOS 11 beta 1 is running Carrier Bundle 28.5.19. -Anthony
  16. And I'm sure you're upset that you pay for the electricity to run your home router/modem, too. -Anthony
  17. From I understand of how de-prioritization works, this is not a sign of it. To my understanding, de-prioritization would cause your ping to be extremely high, because users with less data usage during that billing cycle would get prioritized over you. But it would only happen on congested cell sites. You seem to of answered this for yourself, as it appears that this is a network issue rather than an instance of throttling. -Anthony
  18. Apologies, but please try to phrase your question with correct grammar. It's very hard for a lot of people to decipher what you're asking. I believe you would like to know what changes are in 28.4/what it does. It is believed that this carrier update enables AT&T LTE roaming on Sprint iOS devices, though it has not been confirmed. Refer to this post, which is up a little ways in this thread:
  19. I haven't had a single issue. I've had my 7 Plus since the end of September and have encountered this issue at all. Call quality is phenomenal as always, and don't have any issues with calls. -Anthony
  20. 28.3 is new, I'm on the beta still (will upgrade to the release version of 10.3 when I get home from class) and it updated it to 28.3 from 28.0 or 28.1 I believe. Wireless Carplay, however, came out with the release of iOS 9. So about a year and a half ago. Not much supports it at the moment, but hopefully auto manufacturers will start supporting more soon. -Anthony
  21. My family was going to do it, but when you sign up for it you lose any corporate discounts you have, so we opted not to. -Anthony
  22. I would think it's so that Sprint can make sure that people aren't using a VPN to hide extra hotspot usage. -Anthony
