  1. Your Profile info doesn't specify what type of device you own, but if its an android device fire up sensorly when you are in that area..
  2. Just noticed some lte on van cortlandt and broadway area of the bronx..
  3. I don't see the advantage in officially announcing a city not quite ready for primetime...do they enable a bunch of sites the day of the official launch? That can easily work against them if there isn't a good amount of coverage in place.
  4. Notice I said between Jerome ave 178st to Kingsbridge road...I was able to hold a signal until yankees stadium stop..on the 4 train (downloaded a 300mb podcast from jerome 183rd street to 161st) Take a look @ sensorly you will see there was still abit of signal over jerome and 161st (but very faint! 3-4mb second) But enought to finish the download. Also you mentioned Webster? is there LTE on fordham and webster?
  5. Picked up lte on Fordham road and did my sensorly thing...held a perfect signal from kings bridge road all the way to 167st Jerome ave! Seems like the gap between 178st Jerome and kings bridge is now covered! For anybody that commutes on the 4 line overground this is awesome!
  6. Speedtest from indoors @ home! (top three results) Running CM10 stable build showing -96dBm signal strength
  7. Lets get this thread back on track... Some LTE signal showing up on the whitestone bridge, Including the queens side!
  8. Your in the bronx! Definitely should not take it for granted...the bronx is the only borough with some decent 4G coverage..I have more empathy for some of the other members and sprint customers that have yet to even see the first sign of 4G in there vicinity. But besides all that, I would assume that most members that follow this forum (and not just this thread) have a new found appreciation of the scale and the hard work that's being put into this deployment, plus the technology going into it is quite impressive compared to the "competitors" and as other members have pointed out, this deployment is going quite quickly in comparison to those other guys..Take a look @ sensorly and zoom out on ATT's 4G coverage and that will give you a pretty good idea of how fast Sprint is moving!
  9. Whats up with Hoboken and Jersey City? there is almost no sign of any NV work being done in that area...
  10. One thing I can tell you is, that there are only a few towers in the bronx area, and it does a pretty good job of covering a wide area,(most likely due to less obstruction in the bronx) so I dont see it being a huuuge complication in the outer boroughs to get by with less towers that cover longer distances. If you notice in Midtown (massive high rises other objects and many antennas) the coverage is very weak vs the coverage of the bronx..
  11. For those who have yet to experience the LTE goodness, and cant find a reason to come to the bronx (I know its not exactly the most reputable borough) can just make a trip to either the bronx zoo or the bronx botanical garden, and enjoy what the BX has to offer plus some LTE fun! LOL.
  12. Good to know, its bizarre how much lack of data we get back about data sites from our devices, is that also one of the reasons that the signal strength is unrelated to "4G signal" ?..kinda annoying. thanks again Robert
  13. On a side note, I went ahead and added more sensorly goodness in my area between 174-177st and jerome ave area..
  14. Well that explains why it keeps the 4G connection even when switching between different locations (assuming those sites dont also have LTE) also does that mean that when your connected to one location for voice doesn't necessarily mean your connected to the same site on the data side of things? any recommendations for apps?
  15. Also noticed some signal in midtown, not to far from the previous area (mid 40's and 6th ave) in and around grand central, looks like sprint is making up for lost time after hurrican sandy..might be a pretty good week for completed sites in NYC..
  16. You can install Netmonitor and find out exactly what site your connecting too, seems like its coming from harisson ave, right off tremont ave
  17. I feel you bro...but their have been a lot of reports of increased speeds coming out of BK..So Im Pretty sure its right around the corner. One thing is certain, that it definitely has transformed the way I use my phone around my place.
  18. It finally happened...last night i got a 4G light right in front of my building..blazing speeds 25-30mb down 177street around the Walton ave area...and it works all around where I live pretty well..Getting about 15mb down @ home...
  19. I already Sensorly this section on the map..Ive been meaning to go by 178st uptown Manhattan, also showing some spots on Sensorly with LTE, but the weather has made it extremely difficult to drive (mostly due to the gas shortage) Also got some 4G signal very very close to my home on 175st and the grand concourse. I could not point out where exactly it came from because it was very momentary and netmonitor was not running. But regardless, Im hopeful i will have more luck in the coming days since its been poping in and out of areas in the Bronx untouched by Sensorly
  20. I will do my best...but i seriously doubt that the signal will reach that distance..
  21. I will try to swing by uptown Manhattan and sneak a peek @ the spot in and around 181st..im not too far from that area..
  22. Just took a walk around kingsbridge area of the Bronx and did my part on sensorly some decent coverage there. Enjoy!
  23. I know this is a tough one to keep the ball rolling, but i hope everyone is well and safe, and I know once recovered, we will be stronger...Now lets not let this thread fall back to the second page!
  24. No flaming necessary, we are all on the same boat here...and the general consensus here and in most other places is that customer service timelines are usually unformed ones..and the fact that you are consistently getting eHRPD is no indication of better signal or any particular "work" in your general area. One thing that most of us here also agree on is that most areas have been improving as of late, is there still work to be done? ABSOLUTELY! and as I mentioned before, having access to the completed NV maps on the sponsorship page really starts clearing things up in terms of overall progress reports.. you also mention "network tester" without mentioning any particular hardware or software, a bit more detail, maybe Robert might be better suited to answer this..
  25. Where in the BX are you located? My service has steadily improved in the last 3 months..all over NYC, and dont believe anything Customer Service mentions to you, your much better off donating for sponsorship on this site and get real info on whats going on behind the scenes.
