  1. So you're not on Sprint but posting on a Sprint enthusiast web site trying to convince others Sprint is bad?
  2. Meh, I don't think so. My wife has one and it has been a solid phone for her. A few people's observations are not indicative of the entire user experience. Same comments can be said about anything...GM vs. Chevy, HP vs. Lenovo, Chicago vs New York.
  3. I use a 1.2 gal/flush toilet by toto today and it is FAR better than the 1.6+ gallon/flush toilets of the past. No idea how they do it. AL bundy would not be a fan...
  4. On the first page of comments of this article: http://www.fiercewireless.com/tech/special-reports/3g4g-wireless-network-latency-how-did-verizon-att-sprint-and-t-mobile-compa?confirmation=123
  5. Does any of this sound familiar to those who've lived through a network upgrade?! Yeah that's what I went through during NV upgrades in my area. Missed calls and text messages delayed or not delivered at all. It didn't last long but was frustrating.
  6. I didn't realize that either, I guess I do have some signal in the places where I turn on Wifi calling.
  7. The announcement mentioned no sms or mms, has anyone tried that yet? I can send sms on my s5 while on WiFi calling. I wonder why ios wouldn't be provisioned for texting
  8. I would disagree with Sprint management that losing #3 is immaterial - there is material to it in the form of brand value and the inevitable T-Mobile marketing campaign. I do agree with Mr. Famous in that it should light a fire under Marcelo's butt. Maybe not in investment as I think that's depended on funding, but more on his stage presence and rebuilding Sprint's image.
  9. I agree. It will be fun to track and see progress. This thread will be the first to know of LTE in nTelos land.
  10. I played with the S6 and S6 edge at a Sprint store today...definitely going to be a hit for Samsung. Very cool phone
  11. Sorry sturgeon I tried to quote you but I'm on my phone
  12. Tried that before. Now I'm at "I'll believe it when I see it and not a moment before." There's no money in support after the sale. Planned obsolescence drives turnover and new sales. Everyone wants to be Apple and Microsoft. Google wants it but set a precedent by letting carriers tweak their os from the beginning. Such a shame, only Google, Apple, and Microsoft care about their os, carriers just want to sell new phones.
  13. I hope Samsung will use less signal bars or change their algorithm on sprint variants. I hate seeing the teeny tiny bar with - 100 dbm and pulling 40mb/s. That should be full bars to me.
  14. The consistently poor camera experience from just about every tech site review is really concerning. I guess the m10 will be the ideal android phone (for someone with normal sized hands).
  15. Great post Q...and welcome to the party! As far as SLC's scores...woo hoo! - #1 speed and reliability!
  16. I've seen Verizon stores across the street from one another. Probably has to do with traffic flow and what not...maybe a Geographer could help explain why.
  17. Is it expected by those that read this forum that Sprint will ever truly compete nationwide with T-mo, VZW on speed? I don't think Sprint can feasibly provide a seamless B41 experience across the entirety of the US...and they shouldn't have to. This is where I think RootMetrics is misleading - median scores omit outliers but cannot tells us about the average. In this sense average speed is a good metric of reliability in which I think Sprint has made fantastic advancement. Reliability across voice and data, access to the latest and greatest handsets, and a good monthly price is the name of the wireless game. I think Sprint is happy with their improvements and we should be too. Can it get better? Of course. Will it...yeah, sure, whatever.
  18. So jeremyandrew is kinda like silent bob...doesn't say as much but when he does its profound and liked by all.
  19. Well a lawyer has to review it first...who is paid by the hour so it'll take them a looong time to review.
  20. Just spent a week in beautiful San Diego for a few days of work/ mostly vacation. Good 4G at La Jolla shores beach. Overall, I didn't really spend much time on the phone but when I needed it there was a mix of usable 3G and LTE. I had no problems with navigation and loading yelp's webpages I did get lost in Cleveland National Forest and couldn't get maps to load on my phone...roaming on Verizon 1x. Had my handy paper map though. Rigoberto's carne asada fries with hot sauce was groin grabbingly delicious.
  21. I wonder how marketing and PR teams from each carrier are going to handle customers who want to take thier unlocked phones from carrier to carrier. I can see that being a big mess leaving the customer confused and angry - most definately placing the blame on their current carrier rather than on thier phone.
  22. Lol Robert posted while I was typing on my phone. Oops
