  1. This is from Shentel's recent earnings call: "As I have discussed before, our wireless customers are twice as likely to churn if they live in a county on the parameter [perimeter] of our network The reason is that for many of our customers their community of interest is outside of our network. So, they often travel into the Sprint network areas, they don't have the quality of service that Sprint provides in the urban areas." This is very true where I live which borders Loudoun County - where Sprint signal goes to die. (Clarke, and Frederick are in Shentel's footprint).
  2. I really think masa was holding back on the capital needed to do those upgrades. Marcelo, after the failed merger, repeatedly says something to the effect that sprint is finally able to use full network strength when he's interviewed. Something must have changed masa's mind during those t mobile negotiations. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  3. I agree, live in eastern panhandle of wv now and love shentel's service. My only gripe is that shentel prefers at&t's style where coverage and reliability is near perfect but speeds are low. When I lived in Pittsburgh I got used to the better speeds. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  4. I think I remember you crashing your xc90 trying to find a tower a while back. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  5. I sincerely believe BGR is written or edited by tmo employees. I don't click on their articles instead opening pages in the related search on Google. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  6. Congratulations mnjeepmale! Remember that green switch land is hidden in donut plains 2... Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  7. He said you were a T mobile fan. Read with more comprehension next time. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  8. From what I remember, John saw has a PhD and isn't much in Consumer facing and more there as the lead network engineer to deliver the best network within budget constraints Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  9. Yeah, I drove through yesterday via I 68... miserable service. I think i recall reading that shentel will start their build out in end of 2018. Planning stages right now Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  10. Disney's imagineers need to get to work! Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  11. My Tapatalk has has zero problems for over a month. The version is 7.1.6 build 969 Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  12. That's actually quite elegant. I like it! Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  13. Love it! Thier first commercial spot should be trump saying... Both sides love these plans! Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  14. Reminds me of a talking heads song... Same as it ever was Same as it ever was Etc, etc Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  15. Price drop to $499 announced. I think this is the right price for me to give 'er a try. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  16. Is the camera issue software related only? Did you try the Google camera app? Other than the camera was it worth it as a daily driver? Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  17. I read that BYOD would start end of 2017 as well as Wi-Fi calling. I'm thinking I'm going to switch (to avoid being forced onto T-mobile) and try to bring my Sprint phone.
  18. A horizontal merger like this is good for one entity... Shareholders. Tens of thousands will potentially lose jobs, prices will go up, unlimited will go bye bye (unless you are willing to pay). Dont forget how powerful the big 2 are in the US government. They will win major concessions in the merger too. Which is another point, the larger a company becomes the less responsive they are to the consumer because ppl become a statistic rather than valuable. Look at equifax's or Comcast's treatment of customers.
  19. I agree with Robert, no phone upgrades for me until this gets sorted out... If sprint goes away rebranded under tmo then I'll probably sign up with Verizon. I think masa has an uphill battle even with the current administration because both companies are operating at their best levels with lowest industry prices in years.
  20. Off topic but in all of the hospitals I've worked in - the truly high res diagnostic imaging, like what a radiologist uses, is done on a PC with big monitors in portrait mode. I've never seen a Mac in a reading room...aside from the radiologist's iPhone (which is being used to scroll through ESPN while working...) (that's a joke...sorta)
  21. I'm going to get one, but I was waiting for a display model to play with it first...went to a store last week and the clerk had no idea what an Essential phone was. Funny thing about that though, there was a picture of it on the store's wall - and I turned around and pointed to it. He said "Oh, yeah that hasn't come in yet"
  22. I've always wondered about sprint's retention arm. I've been with sprint since 2000 and don't receive any news about credits or deals. Then again, I don't have much to complain about so I rarely call. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  23. I want to try this phone but if I'm gonna go caseless.... I want the matte finish stellar gray, hopefully the company will have that choice available for me. Samsung has disappointed me in color choices Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  24. Perhaps that's part of the reason why sprint went with calling + as an initial rollout of VoLTE features... So as not to break compatibility with all of sprint's affiliate networks Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  25. Well, humans have developed fiction as a device or allegory to represent real world issues... Science fiction can become reality.. Dun Dun Dunnnn Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
